Skechers Go Walk 5 - 4 Colours, Black/White / 8½

I wear a size 7 in Skechers, so this 6.5 listing is close enough. It's the same model. That's not the correct product picture, though. That is a picture of the GoWALK 3s. I have several pairs of the GoWALK 5s in several shades (the JOY ones, these blue and white striped ones, a grey pair, and a tan pair and getting one in black when my size is in stock), because they're the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. My feet are sensitive to pressure, become swollen easily if I'm not careful, and have only gotten worse after having children but this Generation (5) is perfect for my feet. Supportive without being restrictive and comforting heel support. They make a Dual Lite line that's similar but without the heel support. Did not care for that line. I’m on my feet often for work and these have saved my feet more times than I can count. The memory foam in them feel so comfortable and they don’t slip off your feet. They also have a very simple design which imo leaves them looking super cute. The only reason I rated them 4 stars instead of 5 is they often make my feet smell if I don’t wear socks.

A First For Me

I have ordered many different styles of Skechers through the years. I always order my "true to size" 7.5 M and they always fit perfectly, day 1. However this shoe ran too large in length & width and seem to get larger the more I wear them. They're now flipping on the back of my feet. At first I thought okay a little too large but I can deal with it. I didn't anticipate they would continue to get larger though. I should have returned them for maybe a 7. I bought in Navy. I love the style and the color is gorgeous, a perfect Summer shoe. Unfortunately I bought another pair, in a different style, at the same time. They were too small!! Now I'm fearful to order again. Definitely a first negative experience from Skechers for me.

Most Comfortable Shoes Ever!

These shoes are some of the most comfortable, maybe THE most comfortable I have ever owned. I have a short and wide foot and these fit my size 6W foot perfectly. When I purchased these I already had a pair that I have worn for a couple of years and they are still in great condition. Because I am concerned they will be discontinued I decided to buy this pair to be sure I have a pair to wear for years to come. I highly recommend these shoes.

Nice cushioning/arch support, but runs small

A few months ago I bought the GoRun Pure which I am currently using as my walking workout shoe and thought I'd like to try the GoWalk style, so I purchased a pair. I always wear a 7.5 medium, and that is what I bought. Immediately, I noticed that these shoes were narrower than the other three pairs of Skechers I currently own. I also felt that they were a bit short as well. I couldn't get into them with my cushioned athletic socks at all. I then changed to thinner socks and the fit was still a bit tight everywhere except the heel. The heel is not snug, but okay. For that reason, I don't think a wide width would work for me -- the heel would likely slip off. I'm thinking I have to send these back and try a half size bigger and see if that will solve the problem. However, the cushioning in the GoWalk 5 is not as good as the cushioning in the GoRun Pure shoes. One advantage is that the arch support is slightly better in the GoWalk 5. It's not great, but better. Also, the insole is not removable, so adding an insole for heel pain or arch support may not work, especially since the shoes tend to be on the narrow/short side as it is. My final concern is that my big toes are likely to put holes through the mesh upper in no time. I wish they would consider putting some extra reinforcement in the toe area, or at least having the toe cap cover more for the front of the shoe.Since I was not able to take these on a long walk outside, I can't say for sure how these will feel after a 3-mile workout on concrete, but I suspect I could only use them for shorter walking workouts. The fact that they are washable is very appealing, but if the sizing isn't right, that won't matter.

Sketchers go walk

I purchased these based on the reviews and needing washable shoes as the shoes I previously wore to work (King Gee Superlites in fabric) are no longer available. Ive got to say I am very disappointed in these Sketchers. The comfort factor and the sole are no different than much cheaper versions of the same type of shoe Ive owned previously for casual wear. I bought a half size bigger as my feet swell standing up all day long but the uppers have stretched a lot after 6 weeks of wear so my feet slide forwards now, washing the shoes only helps for a day and the stretched uppers are back again. The KG's are the best shoes I have EVER worn for working 8 hrs a day non stop without a break to sit down. These sketchers may be good for casual walking or standing for a couple of hours in a slow environment, but not for all day long working. A solid sole instead of the broken up sole the sketchers have might improve them but I still would not buy them again. I am going back to the King Gees even though I dont really want leather ones simply because the comfort support and quality are there in bucket loads.

Very comfortable all around slip on shoe.

I love Sketchers shoes and have several pairs. I have nearly worn out my black pair after several years so bought these. They are very comfortable, fit true to size, and are an all around nice slip on shoe. Walmart price was reasonable and they delivered quickly. I will continue to buy Sketchers as long as they continue to make these comfortable slip ons.

Wider and larger than the previous model and ugly as heck

I bought these to replace another pair that Sketchers don't make anymore. My old ones looked nicer (mottled dark grey canvas) but were still in the realm of "boring shoes for nurses or old ladies with bad feet". These new ones have brought that brand of ugly to a new dimension and are only one step away from crocs. But the soles are SO COMFORTABLE, that hasn't changed. These are my "going on 5 hour walks during covid" shoes.My REAL problem with these is they are mysteriously larger and wider than my 3 year old pair despite being the same size # and very similar design. I would have bought a half size smaller if I'd been able to shop in a store. They even make a wide version but these are the normal ones. skechers: always dependable for size but...

I really like these--and bought 3 pair recently in a slightly different model. These have a much thicker sole, but they are all good.One note on sizing: I have bought many pairs of Skechers, both online and in discount stores. The size is always right. However, this time the shoes seemed very slightly bigger. I solved it by wearing two pair of very thin mild-compression ankle-socks with them (I am recovering from bout of plantar fasciitis, which is one reason I bought several pairs recently.) It worked fine. THEN I checked and saw that I had mistakenly bought the "wide" version! So, FYI, the WIDE size is only slightly bigger--and in this case, still worked for me. (In summer, I would probably just wear slightly thick socks.)All in all, they are great shoes.

the shoes are great, Walmart not so much

I really like the shoes, but they are not the fit I wanted because I ordered a 6 wide and Walmart sent a 6 medium. I am keeping them because I have had return problems with Walmart this week that took three long calls with customer service to fix, along with an Amazon return that took 10 days and three customer service calls to get UPS to pick up and I don't have the energy for more stress. So I cannot wear the thicker socks that I just bought to wear with them, but I do have thinner black socks that will work. So I enjoy all my Skecher shoes and will make these work. They look really good on, are vegan which matters to me, and are well made at a reasonable price. Telling myself don't sweat the small stuff, and it's all small stuff lol.
