Well, for work shoes that I wear for ten hours at a time, on my feet the whole time, they are quite comfortable. However, the slip-resistance is practically non-existent. I am slipping and sliding all over the place after stepping in water, never mind the occasional splotch of oil. I cannot recommend for tile floors or the restaurant industry.

cross my fingers, but I can't believe how comfortable my Skechers Work Slip Resistant shoes are. I have always bought New Balance for as long as I can remember. I have never tried Skechers. I ended up buying a pair, because I was given a gift certificate for Walmart. I have tried to be as loyal as possible in buying no animal products shoes, but have found it to be a miserable experience: too expensive, outlandish, gaudy colors (I'm 69), not comfortable, lousy selections. My New Balance (vegan) shoes of years were falling apart, and I was desperate to find a decent, walking shoe!

I have a wide foot, high arch, and a comparatively narrow heel. Needless to say, I have a very hard time finding shoes that are comfortable and look good enough to wear to work. These fit the bill for me. I love how these shoes have plenty of room for my toes, yet don't look bulbous at the end. I only wish they came in a range of colors. I get so tired of only wearing black shoes! Skechers, please make these in at least a brown or a blue. Two other things--One, I wish is that the tongue of the shoe was smaller, at least on the top of the shoe. And two, please give the shoes longer laces so that it is easier to double-tie them.

I bought these shoes for the review about the great arch support and the fact they were skid resistant. I work around alot of wet flooring. I soon found out, they were not entirely slip proof.Thank God, I had not thrown out my Shoes for Crews shoes, which are not comfortable.So I wear the Skechers in the day and the Shoes for Crews at night.
I use these shoes (have two pairs) and use them especially in the winter, spring, and fall when the weather is colder and I can wear my heavier socks. Also when it is raining, snowing, or icy. With two pair I can alternate them on consecutive days. For the same reason I also have two pairs of same shoe in black. Really pleased with the fit for my wide feet. I feel safe on bad weather days in these shoes.
I have worn these shoes for several years. I am a bartender and need non slip shoes. This particular pair was not right. I wore them twice and slipped at work constantly. I would not buy them again. I don't know if they changed the way they are made or what, but they are useless to me. :(
Alright well these do NOT seem to be slip resistant at all! I work in a restaurant kitchen. Ive had several different slip resistant shoes. For the nonslip factor these do not compare whatsoever. Bummer...
Great price, and from what I could tell (my preliminary assessment), great quality! Keep in mind that this shoe fits "true to size." I wear a size 11 and the shoe fit "just right" but didn't have any "wiggle room" for my toes so I had to return them. My advice: buy the next size up from what you know you normally wear. The shoes were pretty stiff, but maybe they'd loosen up over time. They seemed like they'd be durable. Also, unfortunately, a part of one of the insoles was curled instead of flat and was hard to undo so there was uncomfortable friction between my ankle area and the heel of the shoe. Hopefully it's not that way with every pair. Other than that, great shoes!
while these shoes are comfortable, they are not recommended if you work in an area where there could be water or oil. i work at a taco bell, and when the floors have been mopped its like im on an ice skatong rink. i cjrrently am out of work for a week because i walked across a barely wet floor and slid forward causing my shin to slam into and underneat the metal cabinet door. ove nearly wiped out no less than 20 times sonce getting them.
