I originally bought these to go under dresses, but I have been wearing them alone and am beyond obsessed. I'm 5'7" and have tried a few different bike shorts and none of them were remotely flattering. These are super flattering on my legs and hips, perfect length, super stretchy and smoothing, and SO SOFT. If you're planning on wearing them for lounge rather than shapewear, I'd go up a size. You won't be disappointed!

These shorts are the best! They smooth out in all the right places and since the waistband is wider, they don’t create that bulge around the waistline like the actual shape wear shorts do. (I’m so picky when it comes to this stuff) They’re not as compressing as the shape wear shorts, but they definitely get the job done. I’m 5’9, 150 lbs with thicker hips/thighs and I got a size medium. They fit perfectly so I think it’s safe to say they’re true to size. The bralette that goes with these is amazing too! Definitely recommend!
Probably the only thing on the skims site worth buying. I wear these under skirts and dresses. They are comfortable and lightweight
Love these basic black shorts, I do find the material superior to just any generic stretch short out there, but they do ride down sometimes when I’m sitting. Not a deal breaker I still really like them and will think on any other colors if they become available.
I love these shorts. I am postpartum and was having a hard time finding shorts that were soft, comfortable, not too short, not too long, and had enough compression to make me feel good but not sucked in like the other compression postpartum shorts I’ve gotten. My fiancé had to point out that he could see directly through these shorts. I ended up giving them to my sister bc she is smaller than me and probably won’t have that issue.
I like the shorts and it’s smoothing effect. I sized up and so it’s quite comfy. My biggest issue is the waste rolls down so it hasn’t been ideal to wear under dresses which is why I bought them. I’m keeping them but more so to lounge in.
