SKIN1004 - Madagascar Centella Air-Fit Suncream Light 50ml

This product is marketed for oily skin, but as somebody with very dry and sensitive skin, this is my absolute favorite sunscreen for days with no or minimal makeup. (I prefer a chemical sunscreen under foundation for a smoother, more moist texture.) I hate the shiny finish that most sunscreens leave on your skin, and I love this one because its mineral formula is completely non-irritating and dries down to a very natural satin-matte finish that is non-sticky and blurring without looking dry. I layer a lot of moisturizing products beneath this sunscreen every day, but I still won't look greasy as long as I apply this on top! Since it's a mineral formula, you have to make sure your face isn't too wet before applying so that it can spread smoothly and evenly. The subtle tint is very flattering on my very pale skin, but unfortunately this makes it unsuitable if you have a deeper skintone- it will leave a white-cast, especially if you're applying an appropriate amount for sun protection. It also causes no irritation to my eyes. It's really unfortunate that I can't recommend this product to everybody, but if your skin is in the pale to light range, then I can't recommend this enough. I'm currently on my third bottle!

Very easily to spread on the skin and it layers well with other skincare. Doesn’t feel heavy at all, and I don’t feel like it’s moisturizing, it mainly feels light and refreshing to apply. It has 90% centres asiatucs extract and niacindamide. The ingredient list is impressive, as with a lot of products from thus brand. It’s also supposed to have mild exfoliating effects but I can’t comment on that! I use this twice a day and it has never irritated my skin. I’ve been using it for 2 months now. But the experience is nice enough for me to finish the product, although I will not repurchase this.

Not only that, the company also boldly declared that Skin1004 sunscreen can be used for sensitive skin, so this is probably a relatively benign product and less irritating to the skin. This sunscreen has a thick cream texture, yellowish brown in color, not dark brown like the pictures online. Because it is a purely physical sunscreen, this product, in addition to its sun protection ability, can also enhance tone. When I apply it on my face, it looks much whiter. That is also the point that I was completely shocked when I mentioned above. I have used many bottles of sunscreen, but besides the bottle of Angel's Liquid Suncreen, this is the second bottle that I have seen lift the tone so much, it must be 2-3 tones brighter than my skin. Luckily, after 1 - 2 hours, my face gradually tone down. Even though it's still a bit white, it looks quite natural and fresh. This cream has a slightly thick cream form but I find it easy to spread and absorbs quite quickly. It controls oil well, and the T-zone only shines slightly until the afternoon. My advantage is that the ingredient list is clean, contains many natural extracts, controls oil well, and does not cause shine on the face. However, the downside is that it creates a white film and is a purely physical sunscreen, so when going out, you have to apply it 20 minutes before. I think if you have oily or combination skin and don't wear makeup much, you can try it out.

This is my second purchase, so I wanted to update my review with more detail.This is a surprisingly good SPF, especially if you want one that will look good underneath makeup. It feels soothing and applies smoothly, and while it isn't a primer, I kind of view it like one because of its performance under foundation makeup. Keep in mind I usually wear an SPF 50 containing zinc oxide most days. We all know how that looks underneath makeup, so all I do is brush on some foundation powder and a little bronzer and hope for the best. However, when I care about looking nice or want to use a liquid foundation, I reach for this lotion. Every. Great and light mineral sunscreen!

I was already in love with the regular Centella Asiatica sunscreen from this line, but it was slightly heavy. It's a mineral sunscreen, so you can't avoid some of that. However, this one is super light for a mineral sunscreen. You do still feel it, but it's minimal. I do see a slight whitecast, but still, it's minimal. I think it might be ok for up to medium skintones, but probably be ashy on darker tones. There is a slight tackiness to it, but it's more minimal than most mineral sunscreens. Overall, I really like it, and will purchase again.

Wish it would have been 50SPF

I got this because someone on tiktok recommended this version instead of the more popular one for acne prone oily skin. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love this sunscreen. it doesn't leave a greasy film and moisturizes my skin beautifully.my only problem is the lower SPF. tbh I didn't really check the SPF before buying the bottle so I take the blame for that. As someone with very pale skin I did get a little sunburnt while out on a sunny day while wearing it.I definitely recommend this if you don't need SPF50. But if you're very pale and prone to sunburn you probably would wanna try the other version.(Also, I use the centalla Madagascar ampoule under the sunscreen and I find it a perfect combo for hydration!)
