I have used a whole regimen of skinceuticals products. It’s stopped my skin from breaking out which was a big accomplishment for me! I have now tried the retinol 3.0 from skinceuticals and this was a big game changer. It really brightened up my skin. Also my skin feels kind of soft in the morning after applying this in the evening. Pictures are Before using any skinceuticals product and after using all of the products with the retinol for some weeks. It is expensive I must say but a little goes a long way with all these products and it is so worth it!

I have used retinol for a long time (another brand). This product has taken my mature, sensitive skin a while to adjust. I have been using it twice a week for almost two months (and I'm not quite ready to move to 3 times a week). I have used SkinCeuticals for years and finally incorporated this product into my routine. People have made comments recently that my skin looks so smooth and flawless. There is more that goes into that i.e. diet, exercise, water, etc. but I certainly love the compliment! And I know SkinCeuticals also plays an important part.

Great product!

First, I love SkinCeuticals products. Yes, they are costly, but they deliver better results for me than any other products have in the past. The .3 retinol is a perfect retinol starter. As others have recommended, I used it 1x weekly for the first couple weeks, then 2x for 2 weeks, and on. So far, I'm seeing great, but gentle, results. A little peeling & redness which ends up being fresh, soft, smooth new skin. I'm 59, so this is a pretty miraculous thing! Hoping to continue & move to .5 retinol with the same results in the future. I would definitely recommend starting with this retinol. And you only use a little, so this will last a long time, making it more cost-effective.

Just ok
30 January 2022

I’ve used tretinoin cream in the past, and that is the most potent prescription retinol. I decided to try this since it has been years since I used tretinoin. I started off by using moisturizer first, waiting 30 minutes then apply the skinceuticals and moisturizer after. I had zero redness, dryness. After 2 weeks I bumped it up to 5 nights a week and only moisturizer after , still zero redness or dryness. My skin looked smoother, and the few spots of hormonal acne I get on my chin monthly, had lessend. Other than that, I didn’t see any major changes to my skin. I think it’s a great starter retinol for someone who has never tried any form before. But, for me, I switched to the highest percentage Skinceuticals makes, and that really did everything it claimed.

Keeps my skin clear
6 January 2023

I like this gentle, but effective retinol. My skin is extremely sensitive to retinol and even with this gentle formulation I still have to take a day or two off every now and then due to dry or sensitive skin, BUT it keeps me breakout free and my skin, overall, looks great. I used to get periodic deep cystic pimples on my chin.... ever since I started using retinol I have not had any chin zits. I used to use .25 strength in another great brand, and tried to go up to .5, but my skin could not tolerate it, so I tried this one in .3. Not sure I will ever be able to graduate to the next strength, but if my skin would let me I would! I'm grateful I can at least use this one and it is still very effective. Will use forever.

Must have
26 March 2022

I’m on my mid 30s and I feel like retinol is a must have. No wonder retinol is called the “holy grail” of skin care. I started resuming the use of retinol, specifically this low strength from Skinceuticals recently after doing a bunch of research/ watching dermatologist do their reviews of retinol. Please don’t make the same mistake that I did when I first started using retinol. Back then all I keep hearing was “retinol is good for your skin” as it speeds up the cell turnover process. Without doing any research or advise from providers I went full force, I used the maximum strength 1.0 with the mindset that “the stronger, the better”. I suffered from what they called “retinol dermatitis”. I have a sensitive/ acne prone skin. I was using the maximum strength every night. In a matter of few days, my face turned red with heavy peeling and worse breakouts. I stopped using it and spoke with a provider.I got traumatized from using retinol and told myself I will never use it again! After recommendations from friends that have glowing skin and watching reviews from dermatologist online on how to use retinol properly, this time I came prepared and gave it another shot. I started with the lowest strength from Skinceuticals, specifically this 0.3 dose. I prep my skin with a mild cleanser followed by a “pea size” amount of retinol then apply triple lipid restore cream. Yep, all you need is a pea size (please don’t same mistake I did). I use the retinol initially once every 3 days then now every other night. Omg, my skin has never felt so great! I can notice the difference already and will continue using it. My breakout is lessening and my skin appears smoother. Overall condition of my skin is better! For now, I will stay with this strength and keep using it every other night.

Patience
24 September 2021

I initially wanted to start off with the .5 retinol because I have had acid peels here and there and i figured my skin could handle it. However I decided to actually follow the recommended order of these retinol screams. I am so glad I started with the .3 first because there was one point I applied too much around my eyes and I was dry and scaly for a couple of weeks! Just because you think it’s not working doesn’t mean it’s not! By the end of the tube I saw a dramatic difference even my very slight lines have disappeared. The over all tone is much better and I’ve stopped getting hormonal acne. I just started .5 and I’m excited for it to just keep getting better and better! I definitely recommend starting here first though.

Questionable?
16 April 2023

I was so excited to try my new regimen i was suggested SkinCeuticals, by the skin care specialist at the Las Vegas Salon. So I bought the whole set, which was sooo expensive, thinking this is the product. When I started using it, i was liking it but then a couple weeks later, i got a bad rash on my face. I did trial and error and something was causing this to happen by my regimen. I really had confidence in this product and I think I may want to give it a try again. but the price is kinda of steep.

I gave 4 bcuz I just only used this product nearly 2 wks now. In term of efficacy to reduce wrinkles, sun spots & hyperpigmentation too early to tell. After reading about the side effects of tropical vitamin A I was a bit nervous to try it out. Originally I was thinking of using it once a wk for two wks then step it up a bit as recommended by most dermatologists. The first day I had it on after serum & moisturiser to avoid or minimise the irritation, redness, dryness etc. To my surprise I didn’t get any side effects, 3-4 days later see nothing bad happens to my skin I decided to scaled to 3 times a wk with no side effects (touched wood). From then on I don’t use the layer method instead after I double cleanse to get rid of my mineral sunscreen (I don’t wear makeup) ... MoreI gave 4 bcuz I just only used this product nearly 2 wks now. Maybe my skin can tolerate this low concentration 0.3%. If after a mth still no side effects I might go for the high concentration of 1%. Good luck to me

What are you doing to your face?!
24 December 2021

My friend keeps asking, “What are you doing to your face?!” Yes, my face does look different since I’ve been using the .3 Retinol for around six months. I’m a 73 year-old who has had everything from various types of acne to roseacea. Years ago, when retinol arrived as a medication for acne, it pretty much fried my face. This formulation is wonderful. I use it every night, but I’m also sure to use Triple Lipid Restore afterwards. I am not experiencing dryness and my skin looks smooth and younger. I think it’s helping with pigmentation and definitely with the periodic zit! Yes, I still get them at my age!! I am now on auto-delivery because I don’t want to be without this product and want to keep my friend’s compliments coming!
