SkinCeuticals Tripeptide-R Neck Repair 50ml

I hesitated to write a review because I didn't use the product for 16 weeks which was the length of the clinical study. I discontinued using this product due to adverse skin irritation after only 10 days. The LovelySkin site says to use every other night for a week then increase to nightly for one week then twice daily as tolerated. The SkinCeuticals product box/bottle says to use every day for a week then increase to twice a day. I decided to be conservative and follow LovelySkin's recommendation, however I wasn't able to tolerate the product whatsoever. While in my second week of application, my neck skin became very irritated with a burning sensation that was intolerable. The "rings" I have on my neck turned red and appeared worse. The "crepiness" became more pronounced and irritated. My skin itched, burned and turned red and blotchy. I fully understand that some products may make the skin worse before it looks better but in this case (in my opinion) it's not worth the irritation. I also fully understand that everyone reacts differently to products, so what happened to me may not happen to others. I have never had such a reaction to any product including those with retinol. I just want people to know this product is very strong and it's best to follow the instructions on the LovelySkin site vs. the product box/bottle if you decide to try it. I hope other people have a positive experience. It took almost 2 weeks for the skin irritation to fully go away. Just a warning to be very careful if you decide to use this product. I'm a happy regular LovelySkin customer so this has nothing to do with them. This is a SkinCeuticals product issue. This product should have included more research and a much larger group of people in their clinical study, and a longer study to gather more results. I've used other SkinCeuticals products before and have liked them. Unfortunately this product is a big $120 disappointment. I'm surprised it was even launched. I do not recommend.

I am a long time skinceuticals customer. I love most products i purchase. Unfortunagely this tripeptide neck cream made my neck very red, flaky, itchy and swollen. Its been several days and the skin has not calmed down. I do nkt recommend this product. If you ate planning on using it patch test the product. My neck is super bright red and itchy and is starting to peel. Uncomfortable to sleep at night of itchy skin irritation

I use the triple lipid, age interrupter, resveratrol BE, Physical Fusion Sunscreen, Equalizing Toner AND the Purifying Cleanser Gel… and this product is the ONLY skinceuticals product that has not only irritated my skin, but burned me. I do not have sensitive skin, so I wouldn’t default to thinking only people with sensitive skin experience a reaction. I followed the directions with only a 1x at night application initially with even taking a day off between some days. I’m super bummed because I really want/need a good neck product… unfortunately, this one is NOT it.
