I bought this toy for my baby girl when she was about 8 months old and in the beginning she just enjoyed looking at the lights and she would dance to the music. She then started to grab at the bee while sitting up because I would put it in a confined area so that she could get familiar with the motions. She loved listening to the music and watching it spin as she would take the bee off. Once she started crawling, it wasn't long before she would follow it, remove the bee and place it back on. She is 11 months now and she doesn't really crawl for it anymore because she is smart enough to wait for the bee to make its way back to her before she reaches for it... but it did work as intended and she still gets on all fours from time to time. Overall, it's a great purchase ... MoreI bought this toy for my baby girl when she was about 8 months old and in the beginning she just enjoyed looking at the lights and she would dance to the music. Overall, it's a great purchase because she enjoys it so much and even uses the bee as a teether at times. The only thing I would say is that it doesn't really work well on carpet and the sensor only detects large objects. I use it on top of a foam play mat and it works perfectly. I would also say that it's pretty sturdy. My baby loves to pick it up and throw it and it's still functioning. The batteries it came with are still rolling!

We used this daily when my son was younger. Got him to get up and moving to chase the bumblebee on the cloud down. The best thing about this was, when you took off the bumblebee the cloud spun and always made me my son giggle so loud! I honestly will recommend this until my face is blue. It is so fun, interactive. My cats even got a kick out of it. It moves on its own and will sing a little tune until your little one grabs the bee off. Makes your babies feel super accomplished and it is so cute fun!

I like that there is a circle option which the toy moves in a circle for newer crawlers and also an advanced movement where the toy moves in different directions for advanced crawlers. My baby is very interested in the toy. The moving stops once the yellow smiley face toy at the top gets pulled out. The things I dislike is that the toy is loud when moving the wheels against the hardwood floor and that once the toy hits a barrier in your house, it doesn’t turn to change directions like a similar toy I have that I recommend.

Okay the thought was great, while it worked my baby loved it. I bought this not even two months ago, and it stopped moving correctly week 2 of owning. That was OKAY but a little aggravating. What is NOT OKAY is the fact the battery cover BROKE while my baby was chasing it. Sitting on the floor during playtime as normal and brought this toy out, it went around in circles for a little before a little piece of plastic, a tiny screw, the cover plate and three batteries fell out on the floor. My little one was sitting next to it just glad I noticed the tiny plastic piece on the ground before her. so now everything is in a bag and I refuse to buy another product like this. The fact it’s a common problem is scary.

Great example and lots of fun

Baby lovers I’m back with another review!!My little man when he started crawling this was my go to toy! He loved it and wanted to go after it and he was crawling within twodays of this toy! Not only does it go in circles it also has a slide button feature that lets you put it into a different pattern. The top ball comes off for baby to play with and features teething rings ontop for baby to bite on. We all know most babies like putting everything in their mouth especially if they are getting around. When you take the ball off the top it will stop moving. When you attach h the ball back on it lights up and starts moving in the direction you have it set to. It has bright colors and nice simple noise to it that didn’t get annoying to me. Love it

All of my kids have fun with this guy. The bee is removable but the base only works when the bee is in it (my kids found a ball that works in it too) the sounds are not annoying. The bee has a sensor that keeps it from hitting walls or objects however it will fall down the stairs. We taped a piece of black paper to the sensor that makes it just do circles. Thats how i like it best for the baby

My son LOVES this toy
6 December 2020

I think this toy is fantastic! This bee toy is so cute (a little annoying, as most baby toys are), keeps my 10 month old son entertained for at least 45 min at a time. Honestly when I first showed it to him at about 4 or 5 months old...he was very uninterested...and maybe a little scared of it. However, by the time he started crawling, he fell in love with it. He is always following it around, removing the bee, placing the bee back in the cloud. It still works as good as the first time we turned it on. (With battery replacement) For the people that say it doesn’t work...I wonder if they realize that it has a “demo” mode. Also, we have a high pile carpet and it isn’t supposed to roll on it....but it does, or at least it tries to. If you have ladies in your house that ... MoreI think this toy is fantastic! If you have ladies in your house that shed hair, it’ll get spooled around the wheels...like a vacuum..,and you’ll need to clean out the wheels to keep it working normally. I say if you’re someone that received a defective one, most big retailers will take it back for exchange. Don’t throw it away! Your baby will thank you!

Not for us
30 May 2022

This is very cute. However, the turning radius is SO LARGE, you have to live in a giant house to have this actually work. I tried to have it go on the circle setting and it needs such a large area or the sensor gets triggered and goes another direction and tries to make the same large circle. We used it a bit to encourage tummy time. It worked and our baby loved watching it on the advanced setting where it went everywhere. It helped him not cry while doing tummy time. But again, it takes a lot of maintenance to move it when it gets stuck or try and get it to go in a complete circle. So maybe if you have a large play area, great. But not for us.

Not interesting enough--not for independent play
26 December 2018

We just received this for a gift, and our 9-month old daughter isn't a fan. She's only been crawling for a month, so we thought this would be fun for her to sharpen her skills and get a little faster chasing this around the room. We've found that it grabs her attention (at times), but she will crawl right past it for other toys as it's rolling around the room. We don't give her many battery-operated toys, so she might just be preferring her usual options for this reason.I can see this toy being a good motivator for a much younger baby who hasn't started crawling yet, but even for a newer crawler (in my case), it doesn't seem to be that appealing to her.I do LOVE that the volume level of the music is at a mild/moderate level, instead of being overly loud. It's ... MoreWe just received this for a gift, and our 9-month old daughter isn't a fan. When the bee is removed on top, the base of the unit will remain in place until the bee is replaced to get it going again. Obviously, little babies will not know to keep replacing the bee on the very top to keep making it move around the room...just fyi.It really is a cute toy though, but it's just not working out for us.

Ribbons are safety concern
20 February 2022

I would have given this toy 5 stars because my triplets enjoy it very much but it gets low ratings for safety. The ribbons at the end of the toy can unravel. One of my babies undid the string and wrapped it around his fingers. I figured since it was a baby toy it was safe to put in with them in their play area but I was wrong. I think the ribbon used is that cheap ribbon that you can pull a little string and it all undoes. There's better ribbon out there that they could have added instead to make sure this toy was safe to use for little ones.
