I bought this for my son who is 12 almost 13 and it does not switch from 60feet. And does not turn on unless you take battery out and put it back in and then does not even work properly at all. Definitely would not recommend. Did not work right out of the package. Very disappointed as I spent a good deal of money on this product for it to not even work.

Bought this a week ago and it has never worked. Changed the battery so many times that the Little plastic cover is stripped and can't open it at all. The initial setup never worked, could not get the display. Want to get another to see if this one was a dud.

Good for you for reading the reviews first on this product something I and many others didn't but should have done first before purchasing. I'm literally sitting outside of Big 5 sporting goods writing this review on how horrible of a product this is. Shame on you SKLZ! FOR NOT TAKING THIS DEFECTIVE MISLEADING FALSE OF A PRODUCT OFF OF SHELVES. Bought it yesterday with my son and he was so excited to use it only to be let down. At first I thought maybe the one I bought was defective so I went back to Big 5 today to see if I can exchange it for another one (thank God I still had my receipt) they had one more left so I exchanged it and opened it right away and noticed that this one seemed to have low battery so then I went to the store next door to buy the specially ... The numbers were everywhere. SO DISAPPOINTED! And so now I am back at the Big 5 sporting goods store sitting in my car riding this review because they are closed now and I can't get my money back until tomorrow. And I just now decided to look up the reviews for this product and is now seeing why there's over 160 1 Star Negative reviews.

We bought one for my son’s birthday and the first time he used it out of the package it said he was pitching 91 MPH. He is 11 years old. Every throw was so inconsistent. So, my sister returned the ball for us and got a new one. The new ball does the same thing. The speed reader is inaccurate and he just wanted to see how he improved over the summer with pitch accuracy and speed. I would not recommend this product.
We bought this for my son. Could not get to to change out of the 60 ft range. The spot to take the battery out is horrible. Won’t even turn on now. Company also doesn’t have a working email to discuss issues or returns. Very disappointed.
This thing is absolute crap…. Bought for my son this week. Got it to read 46ft. Finally. Now every single pitch varies between 14mm h and 122mph. He’s 7 years old. Even changed the batteries. Absolute junk….
This is the worst piece of garbage I have ever purchased. First, the battery was already dead when it arrived. Set-up was easy enough, at least. Then we used it. I learned that my 11 year old throws a 56 mph fastball and a 91 mph change up. It's a crappy product that doesn't do what it says it does. Shame on SKLZ for selling a product that just flat out doesn't work. My advise is to find a different brand that may actually care about the products they sell. SKLZ obviously doesn't care. They will gladly sell you a product that they know is fake.
My son and I were excited to buy this ball so we could finally figure out how hard he was throwing. His pitches, for a 10 year old, can hurt my hand. The ball only ever registered between 14 and 23 mph. Don’t know if this ball was defective or if it’s the product, but it definitely bugged us both 🤦♂️
Looks nice in the package. Took it out and read the simple instructions, set it to 60’6” and threw a few to my brother, kept reading 136 mph. He threw a few to me and it read 21 mph. It’s clear that it reads the speed by how much The ball compresses when caught. My brother being a college catcher knows how to make the ball “pop” when caught. I on the other hand catch it on the webbing “softly”. Not the best product. Also battery cap was so crooked it stuck out about 1/8th” and popped off after 20 pitches. Mind you I normally throw around 70-73mph and my brother around 80-85.
Had this a week. Have only been able to get it to turn on once, and it won't give the correct speed. Nothing about it works from what I can tell. Can't believe Dick's even bothers to sell this. Total junk.
