Skyrise - Board Game
Skyrise is a board game where players take on the role of visionary artisans enlisted by the Mayor to contribute to the construction of a magnificent city in the sky. The city, named Skyrise, is dedicated to art, science, and beauty, and players compete to be remembered as the greatest artisan in its creation. The game features a brilliant spatial auction system where players bid to win sites for building, earning favor across islands and factions within the city. Players score points through a combination of secret and public objectives, engaging with mysterious Patrons, and constructing their own unique Wonder. Skyrise presents an interactive and evolving narrative of a growing cityscape, requiring players to make hard decisions, manage scarce resources, and navigate ever-rising stakes. The game promises to keep players enthralled until the final scores are revealed, creating a dynamic and competitive gaming experience. Skyrise draws inspiration from Sebastien Pauchon's 2008 Spiel Des Jahres recommended game, Metropolys, adding a fresh perspective and new mechanics to the gameplay.

Skyrise is Roxley's remastered version of Sebastien Pauchon's 2008 gem Metropolys. This brilliant bidding area-control game has been beautifully brought up to today's standards of game edition. Rules are rather light, but dont be fooled, this game punches above its category and is a great example of "easy to learn, hard to master" type of games that will please both casual and experienced gamers.
