Sleeping Queens (Card Game)
The Pancake Queen, the Ladybug Queen and ten of their closest friends have fallen under a sleeping spell and it's your job to wake them up. Use strategy, quick thinking and a little luck to rouse these napping nobles from their royal slumbers. Play a knight to steal a queen or take a chance on a juggling jester. But watch out for wicked potions and dastardly dragons! The player who wakes the most queens wins. For ages 8 and up, upto 2 to 5 players and a playtime of around 20 minutes. Sleeping Queens was invented by 6-year-old Miranda Evarts, who thought up the game one night when she couldn't fall asleep. She awoke the next morning and with help from her older sister, Madeleine and her parents, Denise and Max created this wonderfully whimsical world of napping nobles. As you immerse yourself in the Evarts's fantasyland, you will find a game that helps develop memory, strategy, and elementary arithmetic skills. Just be careful when playing potion cards or you could wind up putting all the players to sleep!

This is one of my favorite card games growing up and while babysitting I haven’t met a kid that didn’t ask for their own set or for me to bring mine again. It’s very easy to pick up and is interesting enough for older kids around 10-12 but easy that a 5-6 year old would be able to play fairly independently. Perfect to add to a game collection!

This game is so much fun! My 5-year-old niece is able to play and loves it. The adults love it too! The rounds go pretty quick, so if you are losing it’s not a huge deal.

My 6 and 8 year old absolutely love this game. It was recommended to us by one of their teachers, telling us it was one of their favorites. It’s not too long, but not too short. The gameplay is fun and interesting. My children delight in reminding us of the small random rules that kids for some reason never forget, i.e you can’t have dog queen and cat queen in your hand together (because they’d fight, obv). There is some stealing of other peoples cards but not so much that the small one gets frustrated. The cards are easy to identify and the graphics are cute and interesting. We take this game on trips and to swim meets. There is a small amount of simple math involved. We have gifted this to numerous people and they’ve all loved it. The most confusing part for me the number of players determines at what point the game ends, score wise. I feel like most “new†card games are just reinventing older games and they don’t do it as well, but this game is awesome. I’d say boy and girls ages 6-10, maybe as young as 5 if they have a lot of experience playing games and can do basic addition and count by 5s.

10/10 this has been my favorite game for 6 years and i play it with my family every chance i get. id recommend to mainly anyone above 9 as it is pretty confusing at first. it's great for family game nights.
My 7yo has picked up the rules quickly and can now play with a friend unassisted. The power cards make it lots of fun as players try to take each others queens, fighting off these attacks with dragons, swords and wands. The mathematical aspect builds skills and each game doesnt take too long. The game box is durable, the cards are attractive, the instructions are clear.
This game was introduced to our family by our child’s teacher. We have played it every night after dinner since it arrived. The whole family love it!
I love this game. I first played it with my granddaughter. Each game is different based on the Queens that are picked. We played it for hours and I still enjoyed it. I like the fact that the games are not long...about 10 minutes. So it is easy to play for a short time or forever. LOL
Great game for the kids or playing with the kids. Simple but effective games. More than basic game of luck, so helps getting your kids thinking about how to play to win without being too complicated. Tinned version is even better than the regular version. It is not just more durable but it enables you to sleeve the cards as well.
My son played this in his kindergarten class and asked for it at home. It is a fun game with easy rules. Although the game says 8 , my 5 1/2 year old can easily follow the rules and play independently. My 4 year old understands the rules but she needs an adult to help her with the math rule involved in the game. Highly recommend!
I've had this game at my child care for over 5 years and every child of every age has absolutely loved it and considers it their favorite game over all others. I too love playing it with the kids. I take it with me wherever I visit if I know there will be kids wanting to do something fun. Kids never forget a visit from me cause they have so much fun! Kids always ask for the game for their birthday or Christmas. It is easy to play. It moves along at a good speed so there is not a lot of waiting for your turn. Also, other people's turns may involve you which keeps you on your toes. Many of the cards have special powers which are easy to remember. The cards have colourful eye catching pictures. It can be played simply or add a math component for added excitement.
