Not only do I use it as a rotisserie, but I grill on it also. I’ve always felt that on the kittle grills the cooking grate was too close to the charcoal. Now with the rotisserie ring the grate is higher enough so the cook turns out better than without the ring. I asked about a ring last year and was told that it was in the works and would be out sometime this year. Thanks

Once you've had a rotisserie chicken, you don't go back! The build quality is excellent, and once you master vent/temperature control on the grill and dome, you'll have no problem doing the same. On surprising feature: when I plugged in the spit motor in a kitchen outlet to check its operation I thought I had the On/Off switch in the wrong position...the motor is virtually silent!. The inside ring surface will pick up smoke color, but it's easily washed off in a deep sink with a soapy steel wool pad. If you're inclined take a look at my IG: pc_lewis for a few recent pics of it in operation and the end results. A test pre-Thanksgiving turkey will go for a spin soon, along with other meats.

Easy setup, solid materials, built to last!
For the price, and for what I've come to expect from Slow N Sear, I'm a little disappointed.For other rotisseries selling on Amazon (at half the price of Slow N Sear's rotisserie) there are more features, such as a handle at the end of the skewer, an easy slot to set the skewer in (rather than awkwardly threading it through 2 holes), and slots to set mini skewers for meat.The problem is that the rotisseries for the Weber Kettle don't fit the Slow N Sear, or so I've heard. So we're stuck with this one.Maybe there are reasons for those feature omissions. But it doesn't feel like omitting the above features are positives. It's just disappointing that, for a company that sells great products, this one is subpar.

We have rotisseried chicken for decades on a stand alone rotisserie. When I got my SNS kettle, getting the rotisserie was a no-brainer. Setup was simple. On the first use, I added a little hickory to the charcoal and the chicken came out perfect. It only took an hour, which surprised me. I expected a longer cook time. One note: you can’t use a temp probe with a cable, so you will need to monitor the temp with an insta read probe or a BT probe.

Excellent rotisserie, very well thought out and adds a second cooking rake if not using the rotisserie.
heavy duty motor and spit. Very well thought out. The extra cooking grate makes this an excellent set up for slow smoking. You can really pile on the proteins with this set up.
