It is perfect for my needs. I love the ability to add or remove modules. The screen is very responsive and bright enough to see in direct sun. That's all I can really ask for in a professional monitor. I upgraded from the 702 bright and can't go back. I was worried about smudges from my fingers, but it doesn't my viewing or experience at all. The lemo built in is such a wonderful feature too. The unit it lighter than my 702 as well. Can't go wrong with this kit.

I have only had this monitor a few days. The joy of shooting comes with this monitor. The clarity of the image is unmatched. I owned the Atmos Shinobi before upgrading to this and it's a massive quality leap. Really happy I purchased this monitor!

I was a little hesitant to purchase this because I had heard small hd colors weren’t that accurate. But I was swayed by the Red camera control tech. And I was pleasantly surprised at how easy these monitors are to calibrate with the X-Rite module and the results! Great monitor. Accurate. Every tool you need and the OS is incredible.

At first my monitor was dead out of the box. SmallHD customer service is great and got it repaired quickly. Had high hopes for the replacement but on set side by side with calibrated Flanders and Sony monitors and even a SmallHD P3X the image was way off with the factory calibration. Highlights are totally clipped when they are still clearly visible on other broadcast monitors - which was the dealbreaker for me and making it pretty much impossible to judge exposure. The monitor also runs extremely hot even with brightness set to half. So hot that you can't touch the sides for more than a second - like a hot car parked in the sun or adjusting barn doors on a m18.There was also a strange issue with L mount batteries where the monitor would say low power mode even ... We were using 2 x IDX SL-F50 which aren't cheap so I'm not sure the issue there. Maybe those batteries don't have enough juice so it might be the batteries issue. Over 2pin power we didn't have that issue.Honestly this monitor wasn't really useable for me and I got rid of it. I'm still not sold on touchscreen either, I ended up trying to use it for a directors handheld / video split after my failed attempt at using it as an onboard for operating. Problem with giving it to directors / clients is they keep touching the screen and even when it's locked the lock sign flashes up (easy firmware fix). But the other issue with the heat is that it's so hot no one can really hold onto this thing. Hope SmallHD can come up with something better soon.
I bought this monitor to use with tm C70 and future proof my monitors. I have always admired SmallHD and when I got the chance to purchase their FLAGSHIP monitor I couldn't get it to connect to any of my Canon Cinema Cameras, but it would connect to my Sub1k DSLR.Tried is on 3 different cameras but the HDMI wouldn't connect.Extremely disappointed that the top of line monitor couldn't perform a simple task.Tech support also said it would take 30-40 business days to even LOOK at the monitor before they could determine if Is working properly.
The quality of the manufacturing on the foam insert is unparalleled. I love that the screen & receiver will fit with the antennas already attached making it quicker to get the screen set up.My only criticism really would be that B&H lists the case foam insert as blue however I received a black one. I actually prefer the black but if you had your heart set on blue you might want to double check before placing your order which you're likely to receive.
So far a great monitor. I like the size. The low profile size makes it easy to work with on set.
This monitor is awesome. Love the intuitive touchscreen functions, love the camera control add-ons, love how it looks.It does scare me how hot it gets though. Could definitely fry an egg on this thing. I hope the heat doesn't affect longevity.
