This is my 3rd Samsung watch, and I can say again this didn't disappoint! It's quick and easy to set up with my Samsung phone and it's functions are clear.I particularly like the Samsung health recording and how it can log my swimming records, stroke, swolf, distance, heart rate, calories etc. The sleep monitor is impressive too. Via the NFC I can also connect this to the treadmill at the gym, no more faffing trying to stop and start the treadmill and the watch at the same time -bonus!The watch connects to the phone well and even the microphone and sound (when I occasionally answer a call through it) works well.I would say if you're into keeping fit and have a Samsung phone, invest in it. I have already recommended this and will continue to buy Samsung products in the future. The only niggle I have is that this doesn't come with a plug. Now I have several Samsung plugs I have used over the years and the only one that fits this chargers lead is my phone one, I don't want to be paying a large amount of money for a plug. Please don't kid yourself that you are being environmentally friendly because now I have a load of useless plugs and have to order a new one, which means you still have to send me a second package. This is like apple, a money making scheme. When you change the plugs, the first few products on that change, should really include a plug. If I didn't have one for my phone I wouldn't have been able to charge the watch until I purchased one, and now without buying another I have to order when I charge my phone and watch.Other than this, I'm really happy with my watch and would recommend.

So glad I decided to purchase this watch, after using one of the smaller fitness style watches I wanted one that did more and this certainly does. It's a nice slim lightweight design, and having always struggled with watches to fit my very small wrists this is perfect and very comfortable to wear. The health features are fantastic, sleep tracking, heart rate and steps I often look at and seems very accurate to me. Having a health condition which can be affected by my quality of sleep this watch certainly helps me track that and help to make improvements to my sleep. It gives a detailed report for sleep pattern which is very easy to understand. Connects to my phone seamlessly and was very easy to a set up. Its extremely beneficial to me for work as I can check emails, texts and calls without having to check them on my phone and reply to anything important straight from the watch itself. Little features like having a calculator on there really help in the work place. After a 9 hour shift at work I do find that when I come home I need to put the watch on charge, but it's charges up to full very quickly so I don't need to have it off for long. There is many customisation features for the watch face which is great and currently I have it cycling through my own photos which I set up on my phone, which is a nice personal touch. You can also download quite a lot of additional apps through the play store on the watch itself. It's definitely hard wearing as I have accidentally banged it a few times whilst at work and there is not a mark on it so the quality of the screen is great.Overall I'm very pleased with this watch does everything I wanted plus more, and would definitely recommend to anyone looking to get a smart watch that this is ideal for many, from anyone looking for full fitness tracking and health tracking or even just as a watch for taking calls replying to messages, using contactless payments, and simple for just telling the time. It records steps, activity, calories burnt and various workouts. I love the sleep function, it can track your sleep, oxygen and snoring and shows a breakdown of your sleep stages & sleep quality. The only con is it isn’t 100% accurate and occasionally the times can be slightly out, there’s been a few nights I’ve had to change the sleep time manually but I’d say its 90% accurate. You can join a sleep coaching programme to help improve your sleep, I haven’t used this yet but I think it’s a fantastic feature. There are also videos/programmes for workouts and mindfulness/relaxation. You can also record food, water intake, stress, body composition and more. You can set targets and it gives reminders if inactive for too long. It is a brilliant tool for helping to improve your health all round.I like that I can receive/make calls, see texts, emails and other notifications. It helps me see notifications at a quick glance, then I can choose if I want to get my phone depending on importance. You can reply to messages on the watch itself, but I prefer not to, though the ā€œquick repliesā€ are useful as you can preset them and send without having to type.I like that you can set ā€˜Do Not Disturb’ mode and ā€˜Bedtime Mode’ and can sync with my phone. The ā€˜Power Saving’ mode is great, it extends the battery life a fair bit, and has saved me on occasions when I haven’t been at home. Battery lasts approx 2 days on standard mode. I have it set so the display is off at rest but turns on when I get a notification or tilt my arm to look at the watch.Overall I am extremely happy with the watch and it’s various trackers, functions, and customisations. It has been a very worthwhile investment and I can see myself continuing to use this smartwatch for a long time.

First smart watch

First time buying a smart watch and I bought the same brand as my phone for compatibility. Myself and my partner are quite active and our friends use different brands for running, cycling etc., but decided to go with this as I could control other Samsung devices in my home much easier. My partner ultimately convinced me to buy one as she said it will help with tracking milestones in my training.Initially really easy to setup and pair. Controversially to some I wear watches on my right arm just because it feels more natural to me, the difficult bit was undoing the starps to swap them round and then swapping the watch face via the smart watch app, I know other watches just have a slide catch which is easier, if you have bigger fingers this may be a bit tricky on ...Ā MoreFirst time buying a smart watch and I bought the same brand as my phone for compatibility. Controversially to some I wear watches on my right arm just because it feels more natural to me, the difficult bit was undoing the starps to swap them round and then swapping the watch face via the smart watch app, I know other watches just have a slide catch which is easier, if you have bigger fingers this may be a bit tricky on this watch. It measures everything really well, I've compared it to my other fitness measuring equipment and the sensors are fairly accurate. I'm still getting use to arranging the tiles as some of my more used apps require a fair bit of scrolling which is a bit frustrating but in terms of functionality it is pretty intuitive.I would recommend buying a cover for it as the glass is raised above the metal casing, looks like it could be easily broken even though they say they've strengthened the glass. I can see why some reading the reviews of older and newer models prefer the rotating bezel on the 4 series, it adds a bit of protection. The screen is sensitive enough to work absolutely fine with my case.Downside is the face won't stay on for long enough if you are trying to time exercises using samsung fit, even select always on display and increasing the screen time it still times out after 15-30 seconds, even worse if you take it off your wrist to perform a plan or something. The watch detects it is off your wrist and keeps turning the screen off - the only way to do this is to go onto the actual stop watch app which means coming out of your fitness app to time.Overall a great watch sk far and the battery life is sometimes over a day. I use alot of fitness tracking apps so I wouldn't expect it to last more than 24hours without needing a charge.

The watch came in a long box, nicely packed. Despite being 40 mm in diameter, it is much thicker that Active watch that I used to however it does not bother me, I like it.The watch came with a charger, instruction and strap. I am a bit disappointed that there is no USB port at the end of the charger. It is ending with a Type C charge port. This was a big disadvantage for me as I cannot plug it to my regular USB ports I have in my wall which I did with my old watch. Additionally, you can not use standard USB plug but have to have a "modern" one with Type C outlet which thankfully I had from my phone. Unfortunately, I now need to share one between the two. Additionally, you can not use standard USB plug but have to have a "modern" one with Type C outlet which thankfully I had from my phone. Unfortunately, I now need to share one between the two. The Type C ending is also quite long with additional stiff plastic end (on the top of the bulky charger plug) don't even bother putting it behind tight cupboard as you need quite a lot of space. The watch has a very sleek and modern strap that came in lilac colour which fit perfectly. Despite having a small wrist, I would appreciate if there was a spare size bigger strap in the set as there wa no possibility to chose the size whilst buying (especially for that price).Right, let's stop moaning now. What's good then?Firstly, The watch was easy to set up and connect to the phone. I really appreciate additional physical activities which were not available in samsung watch active e.g. boxing, hoola hop or tennis. There are few disparities in the distance whilst running on a treadmill but I can live with that. The only thing that annoys me when trying to chose exercise to do is that it always asks me to turn location on. I don't use location due to high battery consumption but the message that pops up each time you chose new exercise will not allow you to magically and permanently remove the message and it must be cancelled each time.Secondly, The watch has amazing health options- BP, ECG, saturation, pulse and body composition. Wow! That is impressive. It's great for someone who is not only from healthcare background but also for active people who wish to get to know their body and their abilities a bit better. I haven't had a chance to test it all yet (e.g sleep tracker) but the one I did so far I cannot fault (except accidental reboot whilst doing body composition). Finally, the current watch faces are nice and allow lots of customisation however I am disappointed that I could not use galaxy shop to purchase or get more free ones (as with my old watch). I hope that will change with time.

I love my new watch, I got it in pink gold and it looks so good - matches my new phone! If you have a Samsung phone I definitely recommend you get the watch5, it's easy to set up and connect to your phone and then just wear it. As simple as that.. You can answer calls, reply to texts, see all your notifications. It tracks your steps and any exercises you do, also tracks your sleep, blood oxygen etc.. You can measure your body composition, ECG, blood pressure etc.. So many useful things to keep track of your health and well-being. But it's not just all about health and fitness, you can listen to music, set alarms or cancel alarms, set reminders etc.. So many things that you can do on your phone you can access from your watch which is really handy when you're out and ...Ā MoreI love my new watch, I got it in pink gold and it looks so good - matches my new phone! You can connect your watch to your buds to listen to music without draining your phone battery.Anyway I previously had the watch4 and in terms of looks the watch4 and the watch5 look the same. Honestly I haven't noticed too much difference just yet as I've only had it a little while, I'm yet to explore everything on my new watch! But one thing I did notice is that my battery on my new watch lasts longer than my old watch and it charges up so quickly too compared to the watch4. But all-in-all if you have the watch4 and you're happy with it then I'd say don't upgrade to watch5, there's not much difference. I'm excited to see what the next model will be like and the new features on there, so hold out until then.. But if you have an older model or don't have a Samsung smart watch then definitely think about getting a watch5, I feel like it's the best companion for your phone and you will get good usage out of it. I hope my review helped you on deciding if the watch5 is for you!

Highly recommend that to install the tesla control app in this phone, which can help you to drive you, tesla without your phone!BUT if you tried huawei watch or other chinese brand, camparing with their 14 days battery life of the watch, galaxy watch 5 only has 50 hours using time(normal use only 1.2 days you have to charger). You will find a lot of the different!overrall, highly recommend if you dont care battery life.

Outstanding performance

Design:The watch is well designed and comfortable to wear. The buttons are easy to reach and customisable to which functions you use most. The colour is a little too pink (Pink Gold) for my liking, even after changing the strap still was very pink.Functionality:Having previously owned samsung smart watches I was really excited to see that Google pay was reintroduced! This has been so useful when your hands are full with stuff to get your wallet of your pocket. The fitness tracking is some of the best I've used with it clearly displaying heart rate zones while I'm at the gym so I know I need to push further to get the most out of my workout. The fitness tracking is some of the best I've used with it clearly displaying heart rate zones while I'm at the gym so I know I need to push further to get the most out of my workout. In terms of workouts it offers more workouts than any previous samsung smart watch with intelligent tracking to figure out which exercise you're doing.Screen:The screen is really bright in high light situations such as the gym and the light sensor does a really good job at picking it up as I move from room to room, at night when I'm settling down or have woken up in the middle of the night, the sensor immediately drops the brightness.Sleep:The sleep tracking is brilliant. It has snore detection and blood oxygen monitoring so it's really good if you have sleep apnea and need to keep an eye on those details! I used it to keep track of my sleep post work out and whether I was resting enough post work out, if I hadn't had good quality sleep, I didn't go to the gym that day.Overall:Overall I think this watch is a huge improvement on previous iterations in the samsung watch ranges, its smarter, even more feature rich than before and its battery life is almost the same at 3 days for me before I needed to charge it and, it charges in a couple of hours so you're not waiting long at all. The only huge gripe I have with it, is the USB-C to wireless charger. I had to get a separate power brick for this because its not something I had available.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 5

On first impressions, the Galaxy watch 5 is extremely stylish and attractive, it fits well on the wrist and is very lightweight and comfortable. The instruction manual is short and sweet and tells you the basics and how to charge the watch etc but to properly set it up, you must have a compatible phone and be able to download the Samsung Wearable app. It doesn't take long to get used to the device and you'll soon find swiping back and forth to different apps and tiles becomes second nature. You are able to customise the screen to your liking by changing the layout, background and fonts and you're also able to rearrange your apps as well.So far it's been great to experience everything this watch has to offer and I've enjoyed trying out all of its functions and ...Ā MoreOn first impressions, the Galaxy watch 5 is extremely stylish and attractive, it fits well on the wrist and is very lightweight and comfortable. This Watch is absolutely brilliant on the health aspect as well as being able to handle all the basics like calls and messages. The battery life seems to be really good so far and lasts me the whole day which is fantastic. Now for the reason I have deducted a star.Unfortunately the watch is not compatible for those who have tattoos in the area that you'll be wearing the watch and unless you search for this info online, Samsung are not very upfront about this issue which is disappointing. It still works as a normal watch but it can cause issues with notifications etc and will not perform the functions like blood pressure, heart rate monitoring and other diagnostic functions. When placed against an area of skin that has no tattoos, these functions all work fine but once it is placed on tattooed skin, they do not work. As tattoos are getting more and more popular and more people have them these days, this information should be provided upfront or hopefully in the future, Samsung can work on a fix for this issue.

Small and Mighty

I have been wearing the Samsung Galaxy Watch5 for over a week now and I am really impressed by it. The display is brilliant, crystal clear and vibrant colours. The overall size of the Galaxy Watch5 is also great for a smaller wrist such as my own, it feels less intrusive than some of the other smart watches I've worn. The weight if the Galaxy Watch5 is also another plus point, it doesn't feel like you are wearing it most of the time, it's very comfortable to wear, especially at night when using to track your sleep. The look of the Galaxy Watch5 is also really smart, clean lines and minimalistic button help with the tidy overall feel. In comparison to other Samsung smart watches the missing bevel on the Galaxy Watch5 makes it a little less fluid to navigate through the menus, but the ability to sroll round the screen to speed through the navigation is a great way to counter the lack of bevel. The app catalogue from the Google Play Store seems to be getting a lot bigger with more compatible apps now available since earlier models of smart watches so this is a plus too. This makes it easy to check some of your regular phone apps on the go from the Galaxy Watch5, and the addition of Google Wallet is a huge plus for Android users, who may not own a Samsung phone, or those who chose not to use Samsung Pay. The app makes it perfect to paying for things with a simple flick of your wrist.I haven't explored them too much as of yet but there are a number of accessibility features that can be enabled in the settiny menu which is a great addition too, with the Talkback function and high contrast themes to help those who need this assistance to also use the Galaxy Watch5.All in all its an amazing little device for those looking for a smart watch to use day to day as an addition to your phone. The only little niggle is the battery life, its small. You are lucky ig you get a day and half use out of it, and that would be really limiting the use of it to achieve this length of time, so you will be charging it every day.
