I got this blender and it adds a fun pop of color to my kitchen, and the retro design is just charming. Blending smoothies and soups has never been easier—the motor is powerful and it handles everything smoothly. I also appreciate the simple controls; it’s very user-friendly. While it’s on the pricier side, I think the style and performance are worth it.

1. This blender is as loud as it is powerful. Of course you won't have to run it very long to get your desired results. Definitely worth the trade off of noise to power in my opinion but still a consideration depending on your living situation.2. Make sure you leave the lid on while pouring/open the pouring tab to serve. The blade isn't locked in place and will come out easily if the lid is off. This is by design and very convenient for cleaning. Alternatively if you must remove the lid for some reason, gently remove the blade by hand before pouring.3. The container/blade/lid are all dishwasher safe, but according to the manual the blade and lid need to go in the top rack. My dishwasher test was based on this and it came out just fine.Would definitely recommend this ... More1. This blender is as loud as it is powerful. As a mom, I love my Smeg Blender in pastel blue! It's not just gorgeous (adds a pop of color to my counter!), it's powerful with four speeds and tackles anything from smoothies to baby food. Plus, it's easy to clean and safe with a soft-start function. Sure, it's pricier, but it's a worthwhile investment for a busy mom like me.

An attractive - but utterly useless appliance
29 July 2019

This blender functions best when unplugged, sitting on the wall. That is assuming of course, it is an absurdly expensive piece of industrial wall decor, and not a blender - although at first this assumption may seem silly, after purchasing this it’s plainly apparent this is how this ‘appliance’ should be classified. It’s utter junk, and is useless and terrible at blending anything hard, or frozen. It will not blend ice. When I first purchased this, I brought it home to discover the blender I was sold actually DID NOT WORK AT ALL (after filling the whole thing up with smoothie ingredients, which then had to be thrown out). I took it back and was told it was due to an electrical fault, and it indeed would not turn on, and I was sold a dud. That was the first red flag. ... MoreThis blender functions best when unplugged, sitting on the wall. I took it back and was told it was due to an electrical fault, and it indeed would not turn on, and I was sold a dud. That was the first red flag. I then had it replaced, however have had several issues with this blender. Firstly, whenever it is used liquid will seep into the underside/blade section. Although the blade is designed to be removed, the only way to clean the base is actually to fully unscrew and disassemble the appliance. This may be hard to understand without viewing the blender, but trust me you will be quickly familiarised with this issue after purchasing. It makes the base look extremely unhygienic, with small bits of food and liquid trapped under the plastic base. It’s also impossible to address this issue or clean it without damaging the appliance, and is a complete design flaw and oversight on the part of Smeg. Apart from this, after having the blender only 6 months the engine makes a loud spinning sound after being used, and smells of burning rubber. The blending power is very low, and the blade itself has wear and warping to the plastic around it. After reading reviews of Smeg’s fridges and other appliances, i’m not at all surprised how utterly terrible this blender is. The trick to enjoying this blender, is to print off a photo and delicately tack it to your kitchen wall. Then, go buy another blender - any one will do, and look at the photo if you ever feel a devilish urge to waste your money on trash.

Leaks
15 December 2023

I ordered all smeg countertop appliances on my wedding registry just because I liked the look but they're not the best products. This brand new blender is leaking as I attempt to make a smoothie. Sorry but I would not recommend, I'm afraid to try the others.

Lovely and Powerful!
21 February 2024

Smeg is always going to provide a lovely product, but I appreciate the strong motor and ease of use. It blends ice easily and purées well. When the blender is plugged in but not in use, there is a flashing light that bugs me, but it’s probably better to leave it unplugged anyway. Other than the flashy-flashy, I’m super pleased with my Christmas gift! Thanks, in-laws!

Smeg 50’s Retro Blender 1.5 L
8 November 2024

Smeg 50’s Retro style BLF03 Blender 1.5 L purchased off the internet and when I received it was exactly as the write up with photo. Not cumbersome so can place it on my bench or store it away any time. Love that it is easy to assemble with one easy action. Has plenty of settings and makes great smoothies. Definitely easy to clean with the added washing setting. The colour matches all my other appliances.

So cute, so terrible

This blender is all aesthetics and no function. 0 stars if I could. Hard to clean, does not blend well, way overpriced. Wish we had purchased something else! Planning to replace.

Somehow blender
26 September 2024

I recently bought the Smeg blender and I am thrilled with it. I am a fan of the Smeg brand quality, and the blender is no different than their other products. It has a strong motor that performs all functions very easily with little strain on the motor . It has a nice variation of speeds available and clean up was a breeze. I love the choice of colors that easily matches my kitchen decor.

Worst blender on planet earth
21 July 2024

The worst blender it started to leak from underneath and the blades wouldn’t click in correctly. I called smeg after 10 months of owning it and no one got back to me and I also called Williams Sonoma. I put the entire thing in the trash can. Do NOT buy this!
