Can't really compare to anything since the old one was a gas stove that had only on and off and no control of the heat, so I'm really enjoying being able to simmer and keep stuff warm rather than just burning everything.

We have only used the new Smeg cooktop a few times and it appears to be great. Fast - much faster even than gas - so happy. It also looks great.The instruction manual needs a serious edit - it is about as clear as mud! Too complex and too busy guys.

I love this cooktop. I wanted more control over my cooking, especially slow simmering and this cooktop delivers brilliantly. The added multi-area is great for grill pans.
My family recently purchased a Smeg 70cm induction cooktop. It is an excellent product - looks great and works extremely well. Although we found the instructions very detailed, they are accurate and very helpful once you have mastered them. This cooktop is easy to use and very efficient and reliable. You can access extra options through the touch panel if you wish to, and it's great to know these choices are there if you want them - however we found the default settings just fine. We have no complaints at all about this stove top and love using it in our kitchen.
