Smeg Kettle 50's Style KLF03RGEU Rose Gold

the listing says: "This product with stainless steel powder-coated body. It includes a removable stainless steel limescale filter, and auto shut‐off when water is not detected." This is false advertizing. The whole outside is plastic. I don't see any stainless steel powder-coated body whatsoever. The inside might be stainless, although there is plastic, plastic everywhere! I don't know if this is the real thing or a knockoff. For the high price, I had relied on the summary. When you look down at the specs, its says plastic. ugh.

50's Style Variable Temperature Kettle KLF04CRAU

I recently purchased the 50's Style Variable Temperature Kettle and I am so glad I did! This kettle looks great and works even better! The outside is a beautiful cream color, and the inside is stainless steel, so it's very easy to keep clean. The variable temperature settings allow me to make the perfect cup of tea every time. I also love that it has an auto shut-off feature, so I don't have to worry about leaving it on. Overall, I'm very happy with this product and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good quality kettle.

50'style look but it's all modern tech

I love the look of this kettle. It's like Italian made art on my counter, very eye-catching. Makes my counter look clean & sleek. Easy to fill, button top automatically raises lid, all the features you need, reliable boil temperature every time, identical blue lit on-switch like the toaster. Sturdy handle for pouring, no drips, seems better insulated, not steaming up my kitchen and I like I don't have to struggle awkwardly when it's full putting it back on the base in a specific direction, it swivels, so easy. Quality and design top-notch. Canadian Tire only sells cream colour, but it's very stylish. Get it on sale and activate & stack those Triangle offers to save more!

BUBBLES grow around cap & spout a few month later

If you want to buy this kettle, you must keep the recipe at least for a year.Cause you will see BUBBLES grow around cap and spout and they don't want to do any customer service without it.They indicated ‘Manufacturer's 1-year limited warranty’ but they required the recipe of purchase. Some ppl buy with cash and don’t keep the recipe if they want to keep it.This bubble things happened by manufacture issue not by purchase issue.And I am sure there is no knock off SMEG out there. Wherever I buy SMEG it’s from SMEGIt definitely not worth it for the price. You could buy even better quality with 30bucks.

Brilliant addition to my kitchen

I’m really happy I bought this kettle from appliances online, it makes a big difference to the taste of my herbal teas now they can be steeped at lower temperatures, and I like the fact that the sound effects can be turned off easily and back on, dependent on if the rest of my young household is up or not. Easily toggle between ideal coffee, black tea and herbal tea temperatures. The kettle also has the keep warm function which is ideal for when my wider family comes around for smokos and I'm doing other things around the house. It's a much quieter boil than my previous Breville kettle.

Extra cost does not equal extra quality

I have owned this kettle for 2 years and eventually the little piece that connects the base to the kettle got damaged and the kettle wouldn't work. I took it apart and I had to replace the entire part inside the kettle body that operates the thermostat and the switch and all the working parts. Upon searching for the part online I realized this is just a standard part and the exact same part is in dozens of different brands of kettles that will cost you a fraction of ehag this kettle costs. The moral of my story here is, the hefty price of this kettle is based on the brand and the look not the quailty. The actual working components of it are not superior to other kettles. Good Looks at a price

We bought the pastel blue toaster and matching kettle about two years ago tempted by the stylishness of these and the lovely colour. The toaster lasted about a eighteen months before it stopped working and as the kettle was still in good condition we decided to replace the toaster with the same so we could still have a matching set. Well in the last couple of weeks the kettle has started to have problems - the switch to flick it on just won't make a connections without loads of fiddling and attempts and sometimes even after connecting and starting to boil it turns off. Bit of a pain when you were really looking forward to quick cup of tea! SMEG Kettle

Call me a sucker, but this is my second SMEG kettle. I wore the other one out with my endless cups of tea. I also have the toaster. They have nothing that makes them stand out from other kettles. They are not fast or silent and yes, they are very plastic but I like the look and they do the job. I first got one because it reminded me of my second hand, cream coloured mini, which was also disappointingly plastic-like. But it had something that made me want it and it also did the job. It also goes with my house and my style and YES, I will buy another one when I wear this one out.

Thrilled with this mini kettle in red. I ordered it from Williams Sonoma in October and every month had a delay email. When QVC offered it recently I ordered it and very quickly the kettle was at my door. This mini is solidly engineered while being so cute you forget it's a high-end appliance. The electric plate and cord are substantial - nothing flimsy as it lives up to the SMEG name. Right out of the box I had to put it to work. I cleaned it out and put in 3 cups of cold water and flipped the little toggle. Before I knew it the water was bubbly and then 'click' the toggle turns itself off. Perfect for me as I usually only need 1 -2 cups at a time and have forgotten the water on the burner more than I care to admit. Very disappointing. Terrible taste.

We bought our kettle on Monday February 6th. We followed all the instructions re boiling water several times before use. Our tea and coffee tasted foul. February 8th went through the process again and re-boiled several times. Still foul taste and smell from kettle. We returned the kettle from place of purchase on February 10th and changed to another brand. Tea and coffee taste fine. Very disappointed.
