In love with this lovely device in our kitchen. The mint green looks schmick. The price point is great. The filtered coffee is fine and volume bountiful. I left off 1 star because there’s a couple of little improvements that could make it 5 star. Why the warming plate doesn’t work on 4 cup escapes me. On 10 cup mode the warming plate lasts an hour which is great but if we had an option to keep it on a little longer - even better.Pouring the water into the jug can be a touch tricky but I can live with that for the retro loveliness of the thing.Recommend.

I can always say I love the esthetics that Smeg provide and this definitely won’t let you down. Unfortunately I’ve had trouble getting the time to set on the machine , fingers crossed I will work it out soon. I do find it a little sad that the coffee doesn’t stay warm for longer, so I like to share it around so as I can make another pot. I use an extra large coffee mug. The pot is very deceiving , as it only 3/4 fills mine and two other mugs. Regardless of this couple of hiccups I’m still in love with it. Only slight disappointment. Hehe. But if you love coffee and the colours, something stylish that gets lots of compliments, and looks fantastic on the bench, then I highly recommend this machine providing you take your coffee not as piping hot as some , Then this Is ... I was keen to have a coffee pot that is heated and stays warm…. And looks pretty on the bench. Whilst it looks pretty, the function is useless. Heat plate will turn on after the full brew (not a smaller brew) for an hour, and cannot be manually turned on. Rendering it useless as a function. Trying to swap it over for another but appliances online are having none of it. What a waste.

Awkward to fill. You have to tilt the machine back to pour in the water or use something other than jug. Coffee is never hot. Quite disappointed as Smeg are so popular which is why I purchased this brand. Would I buy again? No.
This machine makes lovely coffee, but I have had to replace the jug component twice in two years. It is very fragile. The replacements are almost impossible to find and are expensive. SMEG needs to sell these separately.
The Smeg seems well made, looks good and is easy to clean. The Lavazza coffee is excellent. However comparing the Smeg with my last coffee machine which came free from Woolies if you purchased 4 boxes of pods, I have been somewhat underwhelmed by the Smeg. It is slower, noisier and doesn't always deliver the same amount of coffee each time. The volume can vary. I don't really consider it great value for money.
Love love love my new machine. I've used pods for years purely for ease of use but the drip machine is so easy and nothing like waking up to the smell of coffee! I use paper filters for easy clean of the machine and a cleaner flavour of coffee. I did have to use YouTube to set it up for auto timing.
Had this for a while now.It never provides hot coffee. If I add a dash of milk, I have to great it further in a microwave.Extremely difficult to completely empty carafe of water into the machine. The lid gets in the way of being able to tilt the carafe fully. So you have to add a little extra water in order to dispense what you need then throw away the excess that you can't pour.I've just broken the carafe. It was a silly break, not in my mind significant enough to break but hey ho. Searching for a replacement carafe.... just over £51 !!!!!! That's a quarter of the cost of the entire machine!Hope this helps your audience :)
This machine is a real beauty. Unfortunately, it has some design flaws that make it difficult to use. Firstly, it is difficult to load the water tank because the opening is at an odd angle, and it is blocked by the lid. Also, the warming plate does not stay on, unless you program her to do so, which I found difficult. I ended up returning this machine and exchanging it for a more practical one.
it looks amazing but, that’s where the amazing seems to end. it makes coffee. taste the same as the $50 one i had before this one. makes loads of noises and looks great. build quality seems good too but a reheat button wouldn’t have killed them. the giant switch on the side is exclusively for setting the time - but only the first time you plug it in, then it becomes entirely superfluousbuy it if you want it to look good in your kitchen
