I love all my Smeg ice cream maker easy to use have used it a few times already.

Great purchase! I absolutely love this attachment, i have been making ice cream every other day! This item only fits with the Smeg Metal bowl, it will not work with the glass bowl. Freezing the mixer a day or two before will get you that soft serve consistency, takes about 30min in the mixer. I use the Tovolo ice cream containers to store my ice cream takes about 2 hours to fully freeze to ice cream consistency and holds the same amount as the mixer. Best advice i can give is to start with your vanilla ice cream base and add your toppings (fruit, nuts, tim tams etc) just at the end once you have that soft serve consistency mix a bit longer with the toppings.
