I hardly ever write reviews but I felt the need to address the lack of customer service. Similar to other one star reviews, this has been the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. I actually loved my Wildcats, they fit great and I never went on a ski or run without them. Unfortunelty the side arm (temple) of the glasses where it attaches to the hinge, snapped while in the top of my backpack. I am very active with a variety of sports and have been using different kinds of sunglasses over the years. The Wildcats were the first pair that ever snapped without major impact or misuse. I pulled them out of my pocket and they had snapped while walking up a green trail. They haven't been used for two months. Warranty doesn't cover 'accidental' breakage or 'abuse' - so be aware when abusing your sunnies by putting them in your pocket while walking up a green trail. I have had many sunglasses, included cheap ones, that survived a lot harsher use than these Wildcats.Smith may have been good quality once upon a time, but these did not even meet my expectations I have for a pair of cheap sunglasses. Buyer beware - Do not recommend.

These glasses seem well made and they have performed well. The good performance is mainly due to the photochromic lenses, which work very well. I've ridden with them in both the day and the night. They perform well in both conditions, getting rid of excess (too bright) light during the day but allowing very good vision in the dark when the only light is from my headlight. This means that I can leave home well before sunrise and continue using the same glasses even though the afternoon. I haven't had any problems with them fogging. In fact, they are quite good at staying clear. With this said, I should add that they haven't been tested in really adverse conditions, such as on a cold, damp, winter morning where fogging is more of a risk.

Now, what is the point of a lifetime guarantee on the product if you can no longer use the glasses after just under a year due to wear and tear? Mind you, the rest of the glasses still look like new. Since you can't buy additional pads, am I supposed to throw my glasses in the bin in order to by new ones? This is incomprehensible to me. Especially because we should be doing everything we can to become more sustainable these days and it would be very easy to do so here. Other competitors also offer replaceable pads. So, if you buy this glasses, enjoy them but don’t wear them too often!
Good glasses. I have a short forehead, so the glasses feel slightly smushed onto my nose. Not a terrible inconvenience, though. I’ve worn them with hats and a Poc bike helmet and they fit well with both. I got the white frame with black lens and the black lens is definitely too dark for everyday use. I would’ve opted for the purple mirror lens (which I have in other glasses) for everyday use, but I needed the dark lens for glacier use. They stay secure on your face, and better yet, secure in my bike helmet when I take them off. That’s thanks to the rubber on the arms. The biggest downside is the difficulty in changing lenses. I bought the glasses about a month ago and super glad I did. I was going to get a Tifosi pair but ended up buying these due to the reviews about the comfort. I hardly notice these are on my head! They are super lightweight. Provide great protection with the oversized lenses and they breathe super well. I have not used the adjustable nose piece as the fit seems great as is. I was a little concerned the first time I changed the lenses that I might break something, but now that I've done it a few times, they pop in and out very easily. The carrying case is fantastic and overall I couldn't be happier! If I had one thing I would add is I wish Smith made available for purchase a photo chromatic lense for these frames
These do an admirable job of blocking wind on the way down. Not as good as goggles but impressive for glassed. They also don't fog much on the way up. Performance = impressed. The durability is a complete disappointment, especially condodering this product is designed for athletic use. Arm hinges have snapped consistently and arms AREN'T AVAILABLE AS REPLACEMENT PARTS. Smith may warrant them or may give you a discount on a new pair but after requesting a reasonable price for replacement arms, their warranty division has straight up ghosted me. Poor construction and a wasteful warranty program is my Wildcat experience

Smith will not cover the glasses under warranty because of "abuse/neglect." Apparently putting the glasses into their protective bag is abusive. I would like to replace the frames as the lenses are in perfect condtion but that isn't an option. After thinking about it for a few days, I've come to the conclusion that I will be leaving Smith and won't supporting this brand in the future. After spending a couple thousand dollars on glasses, goggles, ski helmets, bike helmets, etc. over the last 15 years (and never filing a warranty) they are losing me as a customer over a few bucks. Took a spill skiing, cause ya know it happens. My initial thought was - “Smith makes these glasses to get outside, they’ll offer a replacement temple”… well no.This is incredibly disappointing from Smith Optics. To make a product for people who like to get outside, and to market a product for such activities where accidents happen.. and to then not offer a simple part (even at a cost).. this means every Smith sunglass product is one fall away from being rendered useless because I can’t buy a new temple replacement. I’d hope Smith would offer some repair ability as they continue to promote climate initiatives on their website. I was looking for lightweight performance sunglasses for trail running and other outdoor activities this spring. I’ve had my pair since May and have used them almost daily since then while training for a half marathon. I chose these glasses over the bobcat because of the adjustable nose feature. I rarely have issues of them sliding off my face… that only happens when I wear sunscreen on my nose on a hot day. I have a smaller face but the smallest nose setting works great for me! I’m impressed by how easy it is the remove the lense and the durability of these! They are beautiful and a statement piece, I always get compliments when I wear them. I’m considering buying a replacement lense because I’m hopeful to have these for a long time!
