These snoo snacks are great! I have some older ones that are mildly dangerous, as they don’t have the crotch strap that keeps baby from sliding the swaddle up and onto their face. So we replaced them with the new version that has the strap that goes through the crotch and velcro’s to the chest, and keeps the swaddle in place, preventing it from riding up. The fit is also far better, too. More room in the hip/leg area! Lots of good improvements. Only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is because we ordered two different colors (blush and charcoal), and the blush one has Velcro all the way up the entire chest strap, but the charcoal one only has velcro halfway up the chest strap. The reason this is an issue is because I can’t get a secure fit on the crotch strap, since ... MoreThese snoo snacks are great! The reason this is an issue is because I can’t get a secure fit on the crotch strap, since the velcro only goes yay high. Whereas the pink one having the velcro on the entire chest strap makes it so I can pull the crotch strap up high enough that it’s snug on my baby without a ton of give. The charcoal one has the potential to slide up to my baby’s face, due to the wiggle room in the crotch strap. Why the inconsistency?? Also, the charcoal swaddle’s safety clip straps are super hard to get onto the safety clips. I’m worried I’ll break my Snoo from the amount of force needed. It’s like there isn’t enough material to go around the clips. I might return the charcoal one…

This swaddle exceeded my expectations for our newborn. The soft fabric provides a gentle embrace, ensuring a snug and secure fit. The design is not only adorable but also practical, making nighttime diaper changes a breeze. It's a game-changer for helping our little one sleep soundly. Highly recommend this must-have for new parents!

The sleep sacks are easy to use and seem to have good breathability. I haven’t been able to keep my little one’s arms strapped in, by this could be me being too gentle as a new parent. Luckily since I zip him in there the hands are still contained when they eventually get free of the Velcro. He likes his hands near his face so he puts a lot of energy into freeing them.My one gripe with the sacks is the Velcro.1. It doesn’t align perfectly with the piece it sticks to (in some sacks more than others for some reason, despite them being the same sacks, the Velcro piece is wider than the piece it sticks to). This leads to it sometimes snagging baby’s clothes (mittens were routinely stuck to it).2. In the wash, it also can ruin some clothes unless you zip the sack. A ... Having the Velcro piece closed also keeps that area from drying well but if you don’t close it, it will stick to all your other laundry.3. When you take your baby out of the Snoo, if you’re not super careful, the Velcro sticks to the inside of the Snoo and messes up the mesh material. This is more of an aesthetic thing, but it’s not ideal if you care about such things (ex: if you want to resell the Snoo later).

I love the SNOO (at least for the first few kids before the O-rings start breaking down) and the SNOO sacks, but they aren't completely issue free. Of course, there's nothing that really compares, so there aren't many options if this is what you want. The SNOO sack is second-to-none with speed of swaddling, and there isn't a lot of reason to buy SleePea sacks if you have a SNOO since the only difference is the straps that secure the SNOO sack to the SNOO bassinet.I'm going to focus on the negatives here because I love the Happiest Baby company, literature, products, etc. I'd love to meet Dr. Karp one day. I think that constructive criticism may help them to improve their products. The SNOO sack / SleePea has one notable flaw -- the hook & loop fastener for the armband. First, with time, the grip of the hooks will fail, making it easier for your baby to "hulk out" of the swaddle. I estimate the lifetime of the hooks at roughly two babies (coincidentally the same "lifetime" I give the SNOO); after that, new sacks will far outperform the old ones. Second, the hook side of the fastener can easily embed itself in the breathable mesh of the sack, which will visibly distress the mesh upon separation. For this reason, it is incredibly important to close all hook & loop fasteners completely before placing in the laundry. The same is true about any hook & loop garments, but this product can make itself look old quickly if you're not careful. The snapping buttons at the shoulders are *VERY* secure, so it occurs to me that these swaddles could be improved by replacing the hook & loop fastener with snapping fastener. The hook side would contain the A side of the fastener while the loop side would contain a grid of B sides at uniformly spaced intervals. However, as more than three snapping buttons at a time encourages misalignment, my suggestion would be to alternate the snap colors between dark and light. This would make it easy at a glance to confirm that the correct snap was being closed without counting the snaps to either side.Although this would make it a 15-20 second swaddle instead of a 5-second one, the improved swaddles would last for YEARS.That being said, this is still the best swaddle in town, hands down. I'd recommend it to others, but I do feel it could be easily improved.
I have to contact you about the snoo sleep sack to let you know of the danger it is posing to my 2 month old. The Velcro of the sleep sack has lost its stick and therefore becoming looser during the night. My baby is very squirmy and it causes the swaddle part of the sleep sack to move up and bunch up around his neck and starts choking him. He wakes up screaming and I run in to find the swaddle all bunched up AND the zipper part almost covering his ENTIRE mouth and nose. THIS IS A SUFFOCATION HAZARD. This has happened at least 3 times in size small and NOW AGAIN in size medium. I bought a new size small sleep sack and it helped but the older sacks are dangerous!!!!!! My baby is 13 pounds so ready for medium according to the guidelines so it’s not a sizing issue. ... My baby is 13 pounds so ready for medium according to the guidelines so it’s not a sizing issue. After other reading the reviews on the swaddles, apparently the Velcro becoming defective is a thing!! You need to send out warning letters to customers and FIX IT! Meanwhile, my medium swaddle is essentially defective because the Velcro doesn’t work. I essentially have to buy another medium swaddle to keep my baby safe!!! So unreal! So scary!!! What is extra sleep if baby is not safe?!??
The sleep sack itself works fine. I like how there are snaps at the top so that one can swaddle or let the little one’s arms out. My little one has always liked arms out and close to his face. The straps across the body give a secure feeling for baby and also keeps the little one secure with the rocking motion of the bassinet. I’m giving it three stars because I strongly dislike the strap that must go between the legs of baby. My child is long torsoed so it doesn’t strap properly and smooshes his diaper up. When I leave it undone, the Velcro tears up the mess part of the sack. Even sizing up doesn’t help. One of the advertised benefits of this sack is that it allows for easy, quiet changing in the middle of the night. The strap does not allow for that at all. If I ... We decided to purchase a spare snoo swaddle sack as the original one that came with the snoo is losing it Velcro capabilities just after barely one month of use. Anyway, I ordered the gray one and what a complete disaster. Sure the Velcro was new and perfect but the snoo kept up riding up my son's neck so much so that he did not sleep comfortably at all. He kept on needing soothing by the snoo(not his usual pattern at all). Every time I'd go into his room I'd have to reposition the swaddle, eventually i walked in the final time and to my disbelief the swaddle had rose up past his neck and almost covered his nose. I immediately shot off the machine and took him out of it. Altered customer service and the representative was great and she asked me to take a pic of both they original swaddle. She informed me that the swaddle sacks are handmade and it might have been that whoever made the one I bought didn't have the right cut. It wasnt until i put them next to each other that i noticed the big difference in both swaddle. The one tbat comes with the snoo is made in china, shorter in length and wider in width. The extra ones not made with the snoo are made in india and longer in length and leaner so to speak. She sent me a new white one instead of the gray one. It is still the made in india one. Yes the velcro is better but it still rides up my son's neck. It is not as bad as the gray one, but i am not a fan of the spare ones. With that said, i have no choice but to not recommend these spare swaddle sacks. Either you guys start having the same person make them to keep them consistent with the ones that come with the machine or start having the same machine cut and produce them exactly like the ones that come with the actual machine. They are an accident waiting to happen.
Overall, this is still the best swaddle design we’ve used (of many) for our three kids. Our youngest is 4 months old now and we absolutely love the SNOO. The reason I didn’t give the swaddle 5 stars is twofold:1. I sized up to the large because my daughter wants to ‘frog’ her legs and the bottom of the medium swaddle sac was too narrow and snug to allow this. Unfortunately, this is still the case with the large swaddle, which is too loose for her on top, but still snug in the legs. She does have chunky legs, but the bottom should fan out a bit more like some of the other sleep sac brands to give more leg room for optimal positioning.2. The Velcro doesn't stick very well, and opens with the slightest resistance. My daughter still likes being swaddled so she’s not ... My daughter still likes being swaddled so she’s not actively trying to break out of it, but I still find myself racing to zip up the sack before she moves her arms at all and breaks the Velcro seal. Also, since the top of the large swaddle is loose, the Velcro sometimes comes undone even after she’s been zipped up, and then its only a matter of time before she’s waking herself up with her free hands.
I love this product and the Snoo is the best nanny! The only thing I found is that my baby is too tall for the L size, even though he was within the weight of the sleep sack. The bottom Velcro strap doesn’t reach so I have to leave it undone.I’d already prewashed them before using so I couldn’t return.Otherwise it’s great, I love the options to have the arms in or out, he sleeps like a champ!
We have ordered several additional SNOO sacks in each size. They’re all nice looking and we like the patterns, and they work just like the sacks that come with the SNOO.One difference, however, that we have noticed and that affects our experience with these additional purchases is that the SNOO sacks ordered appear to either be slightly smaller, or to shrink more, than the off-white sacks that come with the SNOO. And not in the body of the sack, but in the wings that attach to the SNOO clips. When the wings are shorter or shrink (all 5 of our additional sacks have, so I presume this is a manufacturing defect and not a one-off problem) it makes it MUCH more difficult to get the clips engaged once the baby is sacked, when compared to the basic sacks which have ... The SNOO platform and mattress will move (like it is soothing the baby) as you try to stretch the wings enough to get them on the clip, and if you put one on all the way, the second is really tough to get on without maneuvering the baby side to side. The difficult clipping has, on many occasions, meant that our baby gets turned and moved so much that s/he wakes or is at least disturbed a little.Overall, product is good, but I would suggest that the manufacturer make the wings in these additional sacks either slightly longer, or pre-shrink them to avoid this problem in the future.
