Being on the water (in a boat) in deepest autumn in the UK was freezing but the bag dealt with this remarkably well. I became warm immediately entering the bag; and the baffles and hood tie worked very well to insulate and keep the cold out. Excellent price, too, compared to these 'better known' premium priced branded bags.

The Snugpak Softie Elite 3 sleeping bag is an excellent choice if you only want to own one sleeping bag. While long, 87", for me (68"), it folds and clips at the bottom to make it about 10" shorter (less room to heat). The foot box is lined so if you wear your pants and socks, or even boots, you won't ruin the sleeping bag. The side zipper has an additional baffle to extend the width of the bag by about 6". This is a great feature in the winter if you want to wear your insulated layer in the bag (or are a little wider than most). It even has a neck baffle to keep the heat in the bag in winter. Used this sleeping bag on the North Yorkshire Moors in near freezing conditions. I'm 6'1" and with or without boots, there was plenty of room. It's very lightweight and very warm, however, my only gripe is the zip that snags at every opportunity. I've trimmed the excess material the runs alongside the zip, but it'll still trap the bag unless a lot of care, and I mean a lot of care is taken. Overall, a really good sleeping bag,

Bought this for a cycle tour in October.Nice small size and lightweight.Kept me nice and warm with plenty of room.The temperature rating belays its small size, although it only got down to 5 degrees C.A criticism is it is a small stuff sack and takes a while to get in, could do with being slightly larger.
Pros: Well Constructed and Insulated Expanda Panel System offers a little more space for shifting around in the bag. Cinches snug around the face Warm Long Cons: A little heavy for carrying around and too big for a smaller backpack, but it will fit inside our 70 liter fine when compressed with room to spare. A person with a leaner build will be less confined in the bag. I haven't tested the bag in the cold yet, but I've been in it and started roasting quickly (I run cold). I am speculating that the temp rating is close to accurate.
I bought this wanting a compact but warm quality sleeping bag- it hasn’t disappointed. Really snug, long enough as I’m really tall and Good quality that should last for many more trips away.
Not the lightest or smallest -5 to -10c sleeping bag on the market. Its strength lies in that it is so well made. Ideal for larger and taller people not 56 medium build.
Awesome sleeping bag (and the best I've ever had)! Even though it's a little too big for backpacking (for a 50kg girl), but the sleeping bag is very warm and soft, looks durable. What I like the most about it is the ability to have the same bag in 2 lengths (being a short person myself, I was very happy for not having to deal with all the extra bulk at my feet and for that extra cushion that you get when you fold the end of the sleeping bag under). And my much taller man can use it too!
I’ve used this in relatively low and high temperatures (2oC-15oC) and it is a diverse enough sleeping bag to be nicely comfortable. I am yet to try this in negative temperatures but I don’t see it being an issue. The zip works both ways so you can open up the bottom to provide ventilation. There are also two “zip settings” to allow for a more spacious bag or a tighter one.
