Iāve had a Soda Stream for over ten years and itās been a great gift from my wife and daughter. I wasnāt crazy about the flavors at the onset so settled with my sparkly water. I recently tried the Diet Tonic and small Pineapple flavor and like them very much. The bottles are great. Perfect fit with the machine. The caps are different from the original ones. They have a flat plastic seal instead of a sculpted rubbery one. They seal very well. I get a strong puff of air when I open them down to the last glass in the bottle.

I received my order in a timely fashion. The packaging on the carbonating bottles was torn and the bottles bounced around a bit which usually wouldn't bother me but these were a gift with cute packaging. They were scratched up.The flavor bottles at the bottom of the box and had leaked. Three of the 6 bottles had liquid leaking out of them and the other three were covered in the liquid. Quite a mess.

People who already have a soda stream probably know the colored outer plastic is a separate piece from the inner clear plastic. Over time bits of ick and mildew (?) will build up in-between the layers. Itās super gross. Itās not contaminating the drink but who wants to see that? You canāt remove the outside part and thereās no way I can find to clean that area. It would be so easy to just leave that part off and have a cohesive single piece plastic bottle. Not really sure what that piece is even for. The manufacturers have little holes in the bottom of it so water can run out so you know they know it collects water. We switched to the sodastream machine that uses the glass carafes because they seem more sanitary.
I'm giving my SodaStream bottles 1 star only in order to get a bit of attention here.I was exceptionally disappointed that I could not buy glass replacements!!It seems that glass replacements are only available for one or two types of machine.The plastic bottles that I purchased are absolutely fine and the delivery was efficient, but I would have preferred glass.Please can you start making glass bottles for all your older machines, or at least make some kind of adaptor/convertor.I have a Source, which isn't really that old and in this day and age, with the emphasis on reducing plastic, I would expect to be able to buy glass bottles please.
Real shame. Seems grey ones are not dishwasher safe. Really annoyed,as the black versions I bought previously are. Waste of time as the whole reason I bought them was to replace the old ones that are not.They will end up in landfill with the old ones. Shame as the others are great. Serves me right for using my phone rather than computer. Lesson learnt....
I ordered these bottles for my Sodastream Jet machine, as the photo clearly shows they are compatible with Jet. I went to pick them up from Robert Dyas store and they were different and not compatible. The store manager tried hard to find compatible bottles, but eventually I had to have a refund. The online listing actually shows photos of two different bottle types for the same item. This should be corrected to avoid wasting people's time and money.
My husband is very difficult to please when it comes to holiday gifts and I often just wind up getting gift cards. This last holiday I was determined to get him to stop buying sodium loaded carbonated water in supermarkets and lo and behold, he loves his new Sodastream! Its like one big wonderful toy for him and he immediately wanted extra bottles so he'd have some filled and ready to take to work. Best give I've ever given him! The lemonade was for me and its quite nice!
We had lost caps, broken bottle bottoms and warped our old bottles in the dishwasher so they didnāt stand up or fit anymore and needed to replace them for our soda stream Spirit. With busy lives the machine was shoved the back of a cupboard for ages as we never quite got around to replacing the bottle and the kids had gone off of fizzy drinks anyway. When we recently cleared out the cupboard and found the machine again we started looking for a glass bottle replacement (thinking we would be environmentally kind) and bought some glass bottles off of Amazon, but rather annoyingly didnāt fit our machine. Back it went into the cupboard! Generally speaking, there's about a 1/2 cup of waste that comes bursting out of the bubble-maker because of some gasket issue or manufacturing defect. Your first reaction, only normal, is to panic, but after a while, you realize a) it's going to happen, b) you're going to get wet, and c) it's only water. So: buyer beware. And anyone who thinks that this solution is less expensive than buying seltzer at the store should do the math. And anyone who has bought one of the swag bottles that Sodastream makes that say, "My Only Bottle," should report online how many backpacks they have ruined when their "only" bottle leaked.
