I should start this review by saying that I am a big fan of sol de Janeiro products. I love their lotions and their body sprays. The scent of their products really fits my taste. This shampoo is no exception. The product smells in line with all the other regular bum bum cream type products. The shampoo itself is very cleansing to my hair. It had a lot of suds that it produced while washing my hair and really felt like it left my hair clean. I have issues with dandruff and more of a sensitive type of scalp and this didn’t seem to cause any extra issues whatsoever. Overall, I really enjoyed this product. I’m not sure that it really strengthen my hair but I feel like it definitely didn’t damage it so I would recommend this.

A lot of the reviews on the conditioner and shampoo are for the old formula. They reformulated it which is why it was sold out for so long. If your conditioner and shampoo are a pale yellow creamy color you have the older better formula. if your shampoo and conditioner are both white you have the new formula. I don't know why they changed it. the new formula causes extremely dry scalp and has something that irritates me. I'm very picky and know a good conditioner and shampoo. I gladly paid $26 a bottle for the old formula. the scent is still the same.

I absolutely love this shampoo. I have very fine hair and a sensitive scalp, I usually need to wash my hair every 2 days or my scalp becomes itchy but when I use this product I can easily go 3 days without the need for dry shampoo and with no scalp discomfort. Does not weigh my hair down and my hair appears thicker now. One tiny downside is that It is virtually impossible to comb my hair until it’s completely dry after using but once it’s dry brushing is easy. It’s pricey but I find I use less product than other brands so it lasts longer. I won’t buy anything else

I just can’t get enough of this scent! I want to bathe in it… which I basically can now, with thisconditioner. I use the deodorant, body spray and bum bum cream and shampoo with this same scent. That’s how much I love it.I tried the previous version and this new formulation makes my hair feel much lighter and cleaner, while still deeply hydrating it. I have wavy to curly texture and it can feel and look frizzy in the humid weather I’m mostly in. This helps it look smoother and silkier. I let it air dry and still loved the results. After using the Bum Bum cream for awhile, I can’t believe that I had never tried the conditioner. Well better late than never I say, and I’m making up for lost time! This conditioner was everything I had hoped it would be. It is very moisturizing for my scalp and leaves my hair silky soft and with a shine that is quite noticeable. As someone who conditions my hair daily, this will be a staple in my shower until the end of time! And of course I’d be remiss to not mention the INCREDIBLE smell. The same scent used in the Bum Bum cream. The smell is not overpowering but everyone who comes close to you will most definitely smell it on you :) Sol De Janeiro delivers once again!!

First time I used both the shampoo and conditioner and my hair was ridiculously greasy looking when I dried it.Second time I used the shampoo and quite a bit less of the conditioner but the same thing happened.Used it for the third time today and put the conditioner only on the mid lengths and ends...my hair still looks like a greasy, unwashed, limp mess :(WORST conditioner I've ever used. I don't think it's the shampoo because shampoo wouldn't have this effect. I'm absolutely gutted. This was my all time favorite shampoo and conditioner set. I used it for over a year and received lots of compliments on how it made my hair look and smell. But the. the conditioner was unavailable for several months and when it came back it seemed to have changed. It’s now weighing my hair down and making it feel greasy even though I’m using the same amount I always have. It also doesn’t smell as good as it used to. Please bring that wonderful original formula back if possible.
Bought several of these here a few years ago and I've yet to find one as good. Only thing is it's not "new." I'd like to see more new options tho! Maybe one more conditioner from this line :) also one of the ingredients seriously attracts spiders. I'd love to say I'm kidding. Everytime I use this spiders appear. One time a wolf spider legit chased me, because whatever ingredient is something they really like. I would hop to the left, it hopped left, I ran to the right and it chased me. Last time I used this the other day I got bit by a spider. It doesn't happen with any other product, so idk. It does smell heavenly. Just be weary.

Usually spiders dont do that. Theyre definitely wanting this scent. Eeeeek! I thought my bondiboost was attracting the spiders to land my head but its this. I stopped bondiboost and have been using JUST this... now 3 spiders landed on my head tonight in 3 different spots. Almost had a heart attack. Last week I got bit by 'something' on my head while asleep and it took a week to heal. I don't know which ingredient the spiders are liking but since the scent smells like food it's not surprising it was this one and not my bondiboost. It also attracts ants btw. I love sol de janiero products. I was first introduced to the moisturiser and love it. It smells incredible. Bought a purple shampoo and wanted a good smelling conditioner to use with it. My hair smells amazing with this and that is just using the conditioner. Will now buy the shampoo to use alternately. Hair feels glossy and soft too. Fully recommend! Great price too
