Sol De Janeiro Brazilian Kiss Cupuacu Lip Butter.

I was very excited to pick this up and give it a try but after using it only a few days it has really dried out my lips! It felt like I was using a poor quality chapstick that wore off after only 10 minutes and left my lips feeling very dry. I had high hopes that for the price of $18, that it would be super moisturizing but it’s not at all. If you have dry lips this product isn’t for you. Even with frequently reapplying my lips still didn’t feel properly nourished. It’s also worth mentioning that you barley get any product for the price (as shown in my picture). I gave this 3 stars because I absolutely loved the smell and the packaging. I had high hopes for this product but unfortunately it was very underwhelming and not worth the price. I will be returning it.

I'm not a fan of this lip balm. First off, you don't get much in this tube, so make sure to dig out the remaining product when the nub is gone. The scent of this balm is a creamy vanilla and salted caramel type. It's nice... the first time you ever use it... but, it quickly becomes annoying. It wouldn't be so bad, if it didn't linger the entire time this balm is on your lips. Plus, this balm feels thick and oily on the lips. And, the lasting power of the actual balm is non-existent. It has to be reapplied very often. The balm is also very messy. It too big to apply it accurately to the lips. Plus, the balm itself constantly breaks when being applied, and gets all over the place. The packaging is always messy because of this. I definitely do not recommend this balm.

Just not for me...

I'm going to be very nice about this because I genuinely do love all of their products. I've tried their lotions, perfume, body spray, body wash, and hair masks, and I've reordered quite a few of those. This is just the one product of theirs I can't get behind. I only brought it because I thought it would smell like the 62 spray, it doesn't at all. It smells more like the super cheap lip smackers you get at the store. Unfortunately it also feels like that. It feel like straight coconut oil, doesn't feel very hydrating. I'm a huge lippie girl-ly and this really just isn't for me. If it wasn't such a pain to return I would especially for 18$

I almost never finish any lip product. I tend to find something I want to try before I ever finish one of the many I’m currently using. It was that way until I found this. Im on my 3rd purchase. I use this all day every day. I used to keep 3 or 4 different lip products in different places to use throughout the day. Not any more. Perfectly moisturizing without looking like you just ate fried chicken. Smells wonderful. Doesn’t leave a weird taste if you accidentally lick your lips.

I purchased this on a whim as I saw it while lining up to checkout and had run out of my trusty pawpaw. I suffer horrific, chronic dry mouth as result of my medications, so having a great lip moisturiser is imperative for me (especially as I also have injectables in my lips). I’ve tried so many lip balms, glosses etc in every price range and have found always found that my simple pawpaw is the best solution.. until now. Sol de Janeiro - Brazilian Kiss Cupuaçu Lip Butter has replaced you, my old friend. It’s so beautifully nourishing and feels so good on and the smell/flavour of the doce de leite is so delish! I recommend this lip balm highly. It won’t disappoint.

I am a long time sufferer of dry lips. They follow a cycle of being ok for a few days then they dry out then there's dry patches with peely skin. I used to always use lip balms then i thought maybe balms are the problem so i switched to vaseline in the evenings only which helped somewhat.
