I've tried many fragrances but Cheirosa '62 holds a special place both in my heart and on my shelf. I would've gave this 5 stars, but it lacks longevity. In my opinion, layering the Cheirosa '62 line makes it last much longer. If you have to choose one product, I would recommend the bumbum cream, not only because of scent longevity but also due to the benefits of the cream. However, I love to have the whole line of products when I can afford to. The scent itself is light and sweet but also sensual and exotic which makes it work day to night and although it's a mostly summery scent, the warm notes such as vanilla, pistachio, salted caramel and golden sandalwood make it work season to season. I’m obsessed with this scent, I bought the whole body care line and the jumbo mist. It’s a little bit more sophisticated than the body mist itself with a stronger but similar dna, I think together it smells perfect. I took a star off because even for a reformulation it’s more of an intimate skin kind of scent- unless you’re in close proximity I don’t think others will smell you as much- almost feel like the body mist has a bit more projection, whilst this Parfum has more of a longevity. But that’s why I got the set together. I may stock up since I hear Black Friday they may have a sale- it’s pretty expensive for this stuff but it’s worth it it smells heavenly and edible. While it does smell like the classic Cheirosa ‘62 scent we’re all obsessed with, it has some richer gourmand and powdery notes than the rest of the line (in my opinion). I like the fact that it doesn’t smell exactly like the body mist, however it does layer perfectly with it as well as the other products with this scent. As other reviewers have stated, the lasting power on this eau de toilette is not great. It lasts about 2 hours roughly, which is on the lower end of daywear fragrances lasting on average of 2-4+ hours (in some cases, 6-8+ hours), but it could be much better. Overall I’m happy with my purchase due to the slight difference in scent vs. the body mist, but I will not purchase the perfume again because simply put, it doesn’t last long enough to justify the price.

I have loved Sol de Janeiro since I first discovered it in a summer fragrance sampler from Sephora a few years ago. My current bottle of Sol de Janeiro is running low so I went into my local Sephora to see if what other reviewers were saying about the new formulation was true. The sales person created a brand new tester bottle for me. I sprayed the perfume on me and noticed right away it wasn't the same scent I know and loved. I am very sensitive to fragrances and never wanted a super strong scent on me so the original formulation was fine for me. I never cared about the "long lastingness" of a scent because that's when people that do can layer body cream and perfume. I won't be purchasing this fragrance anymore because the new formulation does not smell good to me.

For fun, I applied the perfume in a different spot but put a Vanilla perfume oil down beforehand and it smelled identical to the '62 body mist. Maybe there was a bad batch of perfume? Don't get me wrong, the perfume vs body mist are definitely sisters and not twins. However it's not SO far off from the body mist that I think it's a bad perfume, and besides, vanilla oil seems ...
