Sol De Janeiro Sol Cheirosa 62 Eau De Parfum Spray 50ml

So I originally got the mini body mist version of this and omggggg I fell in love. I started to run low so I figured I would try this version of it and danggg. It smells the the same but also different. Definitely more potent and gourmet. It smells like a warm summer evening on the beach. Obsessed is an understatement. I’ll wear this and pair it with the body mist and lotion, but even on its own this perfume last all day. It’s hands down my fav scent from sol de janeiro and despite the price, their scents ALWAYS last long and that makes it worth it to me.

I tried the reformulated current version of the EDP. I liked it a lot, but began to like it less over time. I was expecting coconut milk to be a listed note in the ingredient list in the fragrance; however it is actually a mix of pistachio & almond (on me the it is mostly almond), wrapped in a creamy vanilla and in the background I get a hint of something juicy - it reminds me of the guava in Believe. This beachy & bright blend lasts throughout the entire wear of Cheirosa '62. The salted caramel develops pretty early on and sandalwood things up a bit when it combines with the nutty & creamy blend - as the brand says, it's the same feel as walking into a cozy bakery crossed with a old fashioned sweet shop. A nasty new note in the reformulation, beware

I'm a huge Cheirosa 62 fan and had tried this perfume out in the store almost buying it then because I liked it over the body spray. I opted to buy a set that included the body spray but missed the longevity of the perfume when I tested it.I caved and ordered the perfume and was surprised that it has a new sharp (almost rancid) note which I cannot stand. I had to wash it off as it never died down and actually got worse as every other part of perfume became more muted over time. The best way I could describe it is like the body spray went stale.I honestly thought I might have gotten a rotten or contaminated bottle because it smells nothing like the original sample I tried, or the spray or cream. Does not last

Like many others say it is an intoxicating scent. Smells amazing while me and my daughters are getting ready but once we leave the room .. poof it's gone! I have spent a small fortune on all the different varieties and different layers. When I say I have every single available product offered in 62, it's frustrating! We want to smell like this stuff! Why won't it stay on us for a few hours at least?? I mean from head to toe I tried to smell with this line and with in 30 mins I asked my husband if he could smell me and I had to place my neck on his nose and he said not really. So I went back and put my bronze goddess and got some compliments I deserved for my efforts.

Gorgeous bottle, rich gourmand scent

I had heard about this fragrance for years, and this summer I finally decided to give it a try. At first, I was intrigued and unsure how I felt, it was unlike any other fragrance I’d owned before. I tested it in-store and left to go about my day, but slowly, I became obsessed. I couldn't stop thinking about it. A few days later, I purchased it online.The bottle and cap are absolutely gorgeous. The glass feels perfect in the hand, not too heavy, not too light. It’s a rich, gourmand scent, warm and comforting, like a caramel tart with a hint of pistachio. It works beautifully for both day and evening, though it may not be the best choice for a scorching summer day. I also think it would make a wonderful gift if you want to surprise a friend.

New formula RUINED The Perfume

The new, "longer lasting" perfume formula is most definitely NOT an improvement. Gone is the sweet, delicious, caramel, edible, bum bum scent we all know and love, and in its place is a very unpleasant, heavy floral that bears ZERO resemblance to its predecessor and namesake, the beloved 62. Even on the dry-down, it's a nasal assault. Blech!!!!! I've REPEATEDLY asked SdJ where I can find the original because I very much dislike the new formula perfume, but they have ignored my question on ALL platforms - here and on social media. I have no idea why they would change and ruin a beloved product. Some will even "clot" in the base. So "stronger" and "longer" does not equal "better". Now, one of my most favorite products by this brand is ruined. I have only a tiny drop of my original bottle left. A side-by-side sniff test ALWAYS detects the stinky new stuff, bought from multiple sources - here, Sephora, Kohls, etc. I am very unhappy. Mostly about how much money I spend here just to be repeatedly ignored when I ask a very simple, basic question.

Tasty Scent but Fleeting

I love vanilla scented fragrances so when I saw this one, I had to try it. The scent is delicious, like some sophisticated vanilla creme brullee dessert you might find in Paris. It's definitely not kids stuff. Just sweet enough but with a hint of musk. I don't detect much floral here at all and it's not sickly sweet. I like it but it has no staying power at all. Fades in 30 minutes even when layered over moisturizer. Disappointing. Seems overpriced considering the longevity. I'll not repurchase.

You won’t smell it on yourself, but others WILL!!!

A lot of the reviews for this perfume say that the scent doesn’t last, therefore I was hesitant to buy. I can understand why they say that. When I spray it on myself I cannot smell it at all. It’s as if I didn’t put on any perfume. HOWEVER, I was pleasantly surprised when I wore it outside for the first time on vacation to the Bahamas and everyone and their mama in the Bahamas was stopping me to tell me how great I smell and what perfume I’m wearing! From the airport to the hotel to the beach… EVERYONE was asking what I’m wearing! Meanwhile I couldn’t smell a thing. It’s such a pleasant summer scent. Even if you don’t smell it on yourself just trust and believe that everyone else around you can smell it. I LOVE IT!

“You smell delicious!”

I love this perfume! I bought the sample size just to try. I’ve read previous reviews of people saying it doesn’t last long which made me hesitant on buying the big bottle. But I have to disagree! I work 12 hour shifts and I can still smell it on me when I get off work. It can be a little strong so a little goes a long way. Per the description, you’re not supposed to shake or rub in the perfume because it’ll disrupt the fragrance notes. People have told me on more than one occasion that I “smell delicious” when I wear it!I wish that there was a Dom Dia perfume. That is absolutely favorite. The body mists all smell good, but they don’t last like this perfume does. Please make perfume in other scents!!!
