I started taking zinc tablets three years ago after suffering a particularly bad cold/laryngitis. I haven't had a cold since and I used to get two or three a year, so I am sure that zinc is the reason. Having got through three whole years without a single cold is a miracle for me. I have also found that if I get a cut or scratch whilst gardening, it seems to heal very quickly, so I am wondering if the zinc is playing a part in that as well. I tried this while sick and noticed an immediate difference. I felt clearer, more “well”, and energized/alert within maybe 15-30min of taking it.I did take it along with their Ester C Vit C. But I know it was the zinc because I only took the C once daily and the zinc twice daily - once by itself. That’s when I saw the difference. I’ve never had anything non-Pharmaceutical work so quickly for me before.I’ve read that too much zinc can inhibit copper absorption so I wouldn’t take a bunch of it every day. Maybe this lower dose 2x a week for maintenance levels. And high-dose Vit C can cause kidney stones rarely in some people with a certain genetic mutation, so again, take this under the care of a knowledgeable health practitioner, and I take it with lots of water ... MoreI tried this while sick and noticed an immediate difference. Recently I started having bunch of comedones and breakouts and thats why I have considered giving zinc picolinate a go. Hope it will help clear out my skin. I plan to start taking it in a week.
