Sonics first ever open world game that opens the door for more ideas and opportunities. The open world sections are fun to run around in and explore all they have to offer. Combat is nice and combos flow between each other. There are classic sections as well that are all great. Most feel too easy to S rank but theyre still fun. This game does have some room for improvements and optimization but the formula is definitely heading in a good direction.

Sonic has run into a lot of trouble with recent 3D entries. I always thought an open world would work well as a playground with his speed, and it does here (itās more āopen zoneā meaning you have large areas that play sort of like a long, non timed 3D stage).There is a little bit of jank to the controls (trickiest part is no momentum) but it still controls better than he has in ages. The story is also simple and engagaing - with a surprising amount of Evangelion references to boot.It gets an 8/10 for me. Itās not perfect, with some minor control issues and the pop in is annoying. But it is a blast to play, and Iāll be returning just to run around the zones some time.

For me this is the best Sonic game so I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this game. The new open world style works well here as you can wander off and do side missions as a break from the main game. The game itself is definitely good value for money as I've probably ploughed around 15-20 hours into it so far and I've only just finished the second level. The bosses are alot more advanced than previous sonic games and do take quite a bit of thinking / strategy to complete. All in all I'm really pleased with this game and happy that I bought it. No idea what the other review is going on about as this game comes on a physical disc, the only download is for extra dlc that you get as a freebie.

I've never been a big Sonic guy. Sonic Heroes from 2003 was my first Sonic game, but I only played it for a couple of hours and then I lost interest. I've heard many things about Sonic Frontiers and after reading/watching a decent amount of reviews for the game, I decided to pick it up. From what I have seen, it reminds me of the Jak and Daxter games, which I adore. I'm definitely excited to play this game, I've heard some of the music and it sounds really good!
Great return to the franchise after a long period of disappointments and mediocrity. Movement and exploration are very fun and rewarding alongside a very fun and easy to understand combat system. Visuals are the best this series has ever had, which leads to some breathtaking scenery. The music is also top notch which truly helps immerse you in the Starfall Islands. While the game is great overall, the game isnāt perfect and feels like it is missing a layer of polish that leads to some bugs along the way, and while the story is overall great, it feels a bit rushed towards the end. As a longtime Sonic fan, this is the best modern Sonic game to get on PS5, and is perfect for all ages to enjoy.
Sonic games have kind of been a letdown in the past and when I saw the trailer for this game, I honestly thought that they were going to make another unfinished garbage game but I was completely wrong. Not only a sonic frontiers some of the best looking graphics you can get, but the immersive feeling of feeling like sonic running throughout a open world is unlike any other game Iāve played, thereās so many side missions and collectibles that will keep you busy throughout. Your play words cannot explain how good this game is definitely try it out for yourself.

Okay lets get this straight sonic in the most recent years has been not the best but honestly this might be a turning point. The game playās amazing. Controls are fluent and it isnāt full automated like sonic forces. I would guve this a full 5 stars but the only thing is cyberspace. Cyberspace sucks it feels like sonic forces but worse. Some if the stages you can tell has the same layout from a diffrent stage in a diffrent sonic game but it has green hill textures on it and they only used 4 different layouts green hill (witch is like half the stages), chemical plant, and some jankass ripoff capital city from sonic unleashed honestly if it wasnt for that the game would be 5āļø
Ibjuat recent play some of the game. Stillnin first level. The game try to ahow how fast Sonics is by running,using his boost to run faster and objects like rails to that he grinding. The graphics look cool on playing the Playstation 5. I have tried the demo on the Switch so you can tell the difference in grapics. There different gameplay lime parts where there oblects that go back to the old school feel of gameplay. I would any Sonic fan to play this game.
as a long time Sonic the Hedgehog fan, this title is one of the most ambitious titles released. the music is incredible, feature Kellin Quinn of Sleeping with Sirens, has lots of versatility for people who prefer different settings, and lots of side content to enjoy. recommended for grown-ups and kids as well. i admit itās not worth full price. therefore, i recommend getting this for your child during Christmas season when the price drops.
