A convient alternative add-on to plugging an USB cable in the back of the SONOS Roam. Its magnetic and sits on the bottom/side of the SONOS ROAM, depend how you use the speaker.

A very smart and well designed charging base. Fits perfectly and is far better than plugging a cable in each time you want to charge. Easy to lift off the magnetic base when taking the roam to another room. I think Sonos should raise the price slightly and include this with the excellent Roam.

The charger is neat, functional and convenient. It has the same footprint as the Roam speaker, so when in use you don't notice it. It keeps the Roam fully charged . It cannot overcharge the Roam one just leaves on the unit when not 'roaming' about. It attaches to the Roam magnetically which makes the combined units very stable. If you have a Roam I strongly recommend you purchase the neat little charger unit.

I purchased this as a bathroom speaker based on its water resistance rating - so far its done an excellent job paired with my Echo Show 15 over bluetooth. I also have this connected via wifi although Alexa can be a bit hit and miss with Sonos speakers. I already had a Sonos One Speaker so the Roam compliments it well - Sound quality is great but wasn’t expecting miracles due to its small size. It looks great paired with the wireless charger although it struggles to play and charge on it at the same time - when its dead, the wireless charger wont work at all so have found it needs plugged in with the USB C cable. Build quality is really nice and would definitely recommend
Whilst this product is close to a 4 star review (I'll get onto the reason shortly) it's very convenient if have the roam as it acts as a base and saves plugging a cable in/out.Obviously a first world problem but often we plug things in to charge days later purely as we'll be dropping things off on my way to do something else, this negates that issue. Charges as you would expect, but the almost reason is due to the roam.The roam sounds much much better if it's on it's side rather than upright, which means if you do need to charge it you awkwardly need to position it to use the charger at the same time, the sounds not awful.. it's just not as good.

The charger looks great, and the magnetic design is clever. It is not particularly quick at charging, but fulfils its purpose. Ordering and delivery from Richer Sounds was as usual excellent.
Whilst not cheap, this is a very convenient and efficient way of keeping your Sonos Roam speaker charged. As with all Sonos products, quality is top-notch.The charger footprint takes up no more space on a desk or shelf than the speaker itself and, for me, the convenience of not having to connect a cable and plug the speaker into a USB port to charge it makes this an excellent purchase.
The Sonos Roam Wireless Magnetic Charger comes with a USB power adaptor (not shown here)!I simply plug it in to a plug socket and sit my Sonos Roam on top of it. The Sonos Roam charge light illuminates and begins to charge instantly. What I like about it the most is you can just lift your Sonos Roam off the wireless charger docking station and take it with you without having to disconnect any leads. When you're finished, simply place it back on the docking station to charge. I also like the fact that if you are out & about for longer periods of time and need to charge your Sonos Roam, you can do so by connecting the wireless charger USB connector to a powered USB port such as a power bank.
This charger is fantastic! It is a lot more convenient than the charging cable that is included with the Roam. It is also magnetic, so the Roam does not fall off the charger very easily. I recommend this charger. You can use it with the Roam in the vertical or horizontal position just as easily. Much better looking that the cheap no-name models out there.
