Personally I don't like a touch monitor and prefer to use the menu and navigate around one really nice thing is the position of the menu button it's on it's own and makes for a quick operation. All the drop down menus are good and once you learn how to navigate them it's good, The card slot being on it's own is also easy to get to. This camera has great images. Everything works perfect. Easy to use there only a few things that I’d like to change …there more preferences or user preferences that I like like I need a external battery charger and an extra battery. Next I would I need to upgrade the lens because I take this camera to the baseball games here where I live. and I cannot get good images from long-distance with the set up. with what I have right now I need to get a better lens to get those long or four areas of a stadium more. I need a better lens for what I need.
I want to say big thanks to Nori and the team at Japan Express. I received the camera just over a week ago although have yet to put it into use. Japan Express changed the settings from Japanese to English within a week and I received the camera in excellent condition with spare battery pack within two weeks of purchase. Communication was excellent through eBay. I have been keen to purchase the Alpha 2, deliberating for over a year now. I'm sure I can expect to be happy with the purchase. I was a little disappointed not to receive a strap or carry bag as originally advertised but nevertheless more than pleased with the purchase and looking forward to seeing the results during my upcoming winter travels.

I had been toying with the idea of a new digital camera and was leaning toward something full-frame. Thought the price was really good, especially with the kit, and I have a friend who uses Sony professionally and loves it.I'm not a photographer, I'm not particularly creative, but the difference I'm seeing in my images compared to my phone or my point-and-shoots has been dramatic. Can generate a great picture in auto mode and allows you to take on as much as you want in terms of manual/custom settings.Know there are a ton of options out there, and certainly a lot more expensive ones, but can't imagine ever getting close to the full capability of this camera. Add the fact that it was $1k and I'm thrilled.

The battery charging was not design very good to charge the battery it's done by plugging the camera in, a stand alone charger would have earned this review 5 stars.
