I really like the design, ease of use, looks, and that you can charge two PS5 controllers at the same time. One thing I havent figured out yet though is whether or not the PS5 has to at leasrbe in rest mode for the controllers to charge. It plugs in to an outlet itself and is not connected to the system in any way. I've only noticed it charging when the system was in rest mode, but I have yet to read the manual it came with. I have two 10' USB-C chargers for when the rare opportunity arises that I can play for several hours at once.One thing (possible negative) is if you put a skin on the controller. Since the controller has to sit in the charging dock, it won't fit at all. I have two silicone skins (one for each controller) and it wouldn't come close. Having a 3 ... This charger is a game changer, no pun intended! I had one for my series x but it was a third party one. It worked well but would die out in a few months. When I bought the ps5 I couldn’t deal with the short cord that was supplied, so I bought this. I can play uninterrupted and it’s a beautiful thing! On my days off I can spend 6 plus hours gaming and to be able to switch out controllers in a blink of an eye is awesome. I must state that I am talking about having two controllers. If you have one that’s fine but you’ll just have to wait for it to charge of course. I definitely recommend getting this for your ps5!

After using a controller for an hour or two, it appears to charge in just a few minutes. I gave this product 4* instead of 5* since I find it difficult to seat the controller to make good contact. Because the controller often doesn't need to be charged if you use it for a short while, the light on the controller only glows for a few seconds and turns off. That is the same behaviour if the controller makes temporary contact with the charger and then loses contact because it is at a bit of an angle. I would have preferred for placement of the controller on the charger to be more foolproof, or to have an LED turn on when the power is on and ... PS5 changed all that, and now a charging station is possible.
It Might be a First world problem but the two Things I don't like about the PS5 is lower battery life of the Controllers and the Lack of USB ports (I use a External hard drive, camera, headphone dongle all on USB A, As I said First world problems I know). But this handy little gadget helps Frees up a port and can charge independently of PS5 so I can always have my backup Ready when I get the dreaded low battery warning.If it helps future buyers this is AC Power so can be separated from the Console and charging does seem to be about the same as through the cable.Only negative is that can be a little hard to seat the controller correctly to get it to charge but you get use to it quickly.Highly recommend 1st accessory
