Speedy, Reliable AF Performance. Dual XD (extreme dynamic) linear motors help the FE 16mm f/1.8 G achieve higher thrust for rapid and accurate focusing. Internal AF allows the lens to maintain its short overall length and helps it operate more efficiently. A bright f/1.8 aperture strengthens this prime lens's ability to create quality imagery in dimmer lighting conditions. Conveniently Built for Everyday Shooting. Complementing the lens's ultrawide field of view is a form factor that's designed for easily taking on-the-go. A focus hold button, an AF/MF switch, and a physical aperture ring give you greater settings control right at your fingertips so you can quickly make adjustments while capturing and not miss your shot. Weighing just 10.7 oz, you can capture with this lens for extended shooting times without getting fatigued. The front lens element accepts 67mm screw-in filters, further widening its versatility by allowing the usage of UV, ND, or any other useful filters in your arsenal.
