So I’ve tried the Pulse 3D Headset by Sony for the PS5, I have to say I was a disappointed with them, they weren’t terrible by any means, I just expected more (except for the 3D audio aspect) and that made me a little apprehensive about this headset. They get a full 5/5 or 10/10 from me for fit, build quality and comfort.The software on PC is easy to configure & use and comes with useful presets to tailor the sound to your personal preference or the content type you’re consuming. As for use with the PS5, as you’d expect, it’s plug and play.There are a couple of minor issues: The isolation, in regards to the microphone, isn’t 100% either in efficacy or reliability, but I’d say it’s a good 98%. I’ve also used it to video conference and people reported a noticeable improvement over my other microphone solution. However if the volume suddenly increased (say somebody unexpectedly made me laugh) it would distort the audio signal. This is true in-game too (though more likely I’d be cursing myself for making a stupid mistake which cost me a round/life/level etc.) However after the initial ‘burst’ of sound, the quality restores quickly. The mid-tones are a little indistinct, which is a problem with separation, this is across various media types and uses. However, the vast majority of users probably won’t notice.All-in-all, the H3 is brilliant gaming headset and can be used for a variety of uses and copes well with them all. A good solid investment, especially if you like to chat when you game.

My ears do get quite warm as the headphones cover all of my ears but this isn't a major downside at all. I was very impressed with the packaging the product came in, as everything is paper or cardboard and its good to see Sony is heading in the right direction regarding product packaging. It is also noted that the quality of the headphones themselves is very good and they are very sturdy, including the fold up and down microphone. The bass is clear, the spatial awareness effect is just brilliant (especially for 1st person games) and the headphones provide level of immersion for gaming that I haven't experienced from a set of headphones before. I pretty much use these now all the time when I play my PS5 because it has the added benefit of not being able to hear when my wife yells at me to get off the PS5.There's also a USB adapter that comes with it if you want to use this with a PC, or use the Sony INZONE app. I personally can't speak to this since I have another headset for PC gaming and I picked these up purely to try them out with my PS5. I also can't really speak to the mic's quality since I don't really play any online games. With a teenager already living under my roof, there's enough snark and trash talk going on here, I don't need to experience it online as well.Bottom line, at $100 these are a nice addition to my PS5 setup. Because there's no battery or nonsense to mess with, I feel like these will last much longer, hurt my head less, and let me game more.

The headset did not plug and play, so just because it doesn’t automatically configure doesn’t make it a game changer. Go into control panel, then sound and look for the headset. You need to unplug from the little square box attached to the wire of the headset as unplugging from the USB and plugging back it didn’t work for me, but unplugging from the little rectangular box and replugging allowed for the computer to quickly recognize the headset by name. The name of the headset pops up on the screen momentarily when you do this. You can adjust some of the speaker setting in the configure part of the sound and headset area. The padding around the ears and the top of the head are comfy. The size of the headset is good for my smaller than average head circumference. It’s light in weight. The mic is adjustable, turns away and towards the face.The sound during gameplay is crisp so you can hear your enemy approaching even if tiptoeing. It’s not noise canceling and I can hear the tv from two rooms away.There’s an adjustable volume button on the same side of the headset as the mic. The adjustment for a larger head size than mine gives ample room for wider and longer diameters/circumference.

In one of the work meetings one of my coworkers remarked on how great the audio sounded - so Sony is definitely doing something right! With the INZONE Hub application you can customize the mic 'sidetone' as well as automatic gain which is handy, although there isn't any ability to get noise canceling for the microphone in Sony's built-in apps. You're going to need to rely on a separate app for that. The INZONE Hub also gives you the ability to enable Spatial Sound, which automatically changes the device to 7.1 surround in Windows. Doing back to back comparisons with the spatial sound on and off left me with a slightly negative impression for music listening, but for games and movies the spatial sound works really well and doesn't have as much of a "pressure" sensation as with some other 3D audio schemes for stereo headsets.Really the only complaints you could have with the INZONE H3 are things that you can't complain about given the price. It doesn't have noise cancelling and it isn't wireless - but you are getting something that sounds better than any wireless headset I've used at a far lower price. It only has a single control on the headset itself (for volume), but the mic flips up to mute so there really isn't anything else you need. Maybe Sony could have included a spatial sound button/switch on the headset, but that's getting pretty nitpicky.Huge recommendation on the INZONE H3 - probably my favorite headset that I've reviewed, I will be using this one for a long time.

These I wore recently for about 5 hours straight and I didn't have a headache and I did not feel like I had to take a break from my team.So when you plug in the device with the auxiliary cable your sound isn't as dynamic as it is when you use the connector with the USB. The USB connector wire that comes with the headset is what gives you that enhanced audio. You also gain the benefit of a longer cord so that you can sit comfortably on your sofa and not have to sit so close to the PS5.At first I figured that the enhanced audio might only work for the gaming PC I have but feedback I received from my team online was that the audio was a lot better in my microphone when I switched between USB connections.The design is true to the images you see online and the actual structure doesn't feel like they went the economical route on the actual body of the headset. My one bit of feedback is that the volume dial could have been a little more enhanced. I feel like it is sensitive and so you have to be careful how much you wind the dial or you can go from the highest volume to mute in a jiffy.Overall a great headset for someone who loves wired headset gaming who is a beginner or a pro. You gain comfort, you don't compromise with having to charge the device, and you get the benefit of the full on experience of the 360 degree sound.

When enabled, you can hear all the sounds coming from the appropriate directions, which are extremely useful on fighting games.The H3 doesn't have Noise cancellation but it's actually pretty good without it. I have another Sony wireless with noise cancellation and it's superb and completely drowns out my a/c. My dual bluetooth/usb dongle that doesn't have noise cancellation makes the a/c is pretty noticeable. The H3's are in between the 2, but I quickly forget the a/c is even on w/the H3 because my ears are covered and the game sounds hide the loud a/c enough.The headsets themselves are comfortable, which is always a worry especially if I'm gaming for a long time - and sometimes I find myself playing on ps5 for hours at a time (especially with pinball games).There is a volume control on the left side and the boom mic goes up and down, but putting the mic up does not mute the mic (in comparison to my other headsets) and there is no mute button on the headset itself. When on the PS5, that's not a problem, but when plugged into another device (such as the Nintendo Switch/PC), mute will have to be set on the device itself - minor inconvenience.For the price of the H3 in comparison to the higher end model, the H3 is a great deal that provides great sounds and is comfortable to wear for a few hours at a time.

I've tried and tested numerous headphones, most of which don't even come close to how these Sonys' look or feel; and that's a good thing, especially if you love playing games for extended periods of time, without having earcuffs that start to press against and hurt your ears.When it comes to sound quality, with Sony already being a leader in sound quality of other various products, I expected nothing less than superb sound and that's what I experienced while using these headphones. The feeling of the spatial sound coming at you from all directions make you feel as though you're in the game. And you can hear like the slightest sounds nearby while in gameplay.

Initial impressions are of a quality looking product in black and white with the Sony logo visible on the headband giving it a “Stormtrooper” look. The INZONE H3 is fitted with a 1.25m lead, and, it has a 1.85m usb audio box extension cable providing a really healthy 1.85m cable length, which can be connected to other devices – so who need wireless? You can then change the dynamic range via the equaliser, turn spatial sound ON or OFF, and in the Custom selection, create and save settings for whichever game you choose to play.It’s not the noise cancelling variant but I found the sound to be really immersive with powerful bass straight out of the box, which I really enjoyed for the effects, and I quickly ignored any external sounds. It works really well on my 49inch tv and when connected to my mobile phone via the 3.5mm port. The Inzone H3 is a great gaming headset, it’s very comfortable, has good bass sound, and even though it’s the wired version, I’m delighted with it and looking forward to more gaming. Give it a try.

Voice chat is clear and my voice is VERY clear too according to my Fortnite buddies.I also tried the Spatial Audio--- it just takes too much to install it. The process is pretty cool because I actually had to take photos of my ears, and Sony analyzed it so I will have an actual personal listening profile. (By the way, Sony, the photo taking is a little painful—the head turning and all that, must be the detection process). But I did try turning on the Spatial Audio and it sounded like the speakers are away from me. You know that feeling when you are at the mall or in the stadium—where you can actually pinpoint where the sound is away from you—it’s that feeling. I probably am not doing that much justice to it, but it actually helps with gaming because I can somewhat tell the distance of a car or an opponent when they are heading towards me—and it does follow the sound pretty well as I turn my character around. Just to note though, the Spatial Audio is not detected if I do not put the adapter on—so this dongle is actually an adapter for the ¾ jack. The Headphones are wired with the end being a ¾ jack. The adapter connects to a USB A port, and the other end is the usual headphone jack. Only when the Jack is on does the PC recognize an InZone device connected, thus activating the Spatial audio setting. Well, on the PS4, is works like regular headphones, but with still pretty good surround quality.Anyway, I know wired headphones may almost be a thing of the past—but these ones are keeping them alive. I don’t have to charge them and they sound great, plus I sound great. That’s all that I need from gaming headphones. I recommend this one!
