Very Clcomfortable and good quality headset. A bit overpriced but nice to have the dual connection functionality with bluetooth and 2.4ghz. Very light but sturdy construction. My ears didnt experience much heat or discomfort from long gaming sessions. Noise cancellong features work quite well, the ambient sound control is a nice feature if you want to be able to hear others while playing. Using it on PC or Ps5 is a breeze and provides great 3D immersion. The chat/game audio fade button, as well as the volume knob, noise canceling and bluetooth sync built right into the headset make setting up and managing your sound a breeze. The microphone boom is not detachable *but you can flip it up to mute which is nice. And the sound is weighted a little more to the bassy side. Highs aren't quite as sharp/well defined. Overall the sound quality is good but I'm being a bit picky since it is an expensive headset. Which is really my biggest gripe, if it was even $50 cheaper i think it would be a much better value. But if your a PC and PS5 gamer this is a good high end option.

I bought this for my brother as a gift cause I have the white Inzone H9s. Bought those when they first came out. They're great headsets for the PS5, but they are pricey. My review changes for this one because the black looks better, and I found it on sale. So I hope you can as well. The best feature is being able to connect to your PS5 using the dongle, and then to your phone as well using Bluetooth. This is perfect for those cross play sessions when you are using Discord to chat with others through your phone, and while you play on your PS5. Anyone who has tried to transfer the Discord chat to your PS5 understands that it can be frustrating. This elimantes that. The Inzone H9s are also compatible with your PC. BUY on a sale.

I bought this to repalce my alienware aw-988, the ears cups on that headset wore out after heavy use for years on end. The audio is decent on the h9, the noise cancellation is cool. I like that i can connect to two devices at once, one via the usb dongle and the other like my phone or pc via bluetooth. You cannot edit the audio profile for the headset on your ps5, you cannot mute it using the controller’s mute button, these two shortcomings make me wish id bought alternative option instead. I work from home so i use the headset for work calls during work and gaming after. I did this as well with my aliewares and the only issue after 3.5 years was the clothing on the earcups fell apart. I was lucky enough to get the headset at a pretty decent discount, which makes me not regret my purchase completely.I've had the headset for little over 4 months and while the ANC and wearing comfort is great, that's where the positives stops.Everyone I talk with, complains that my mic is incredibly low in volume and quality. They have to turn me up to 200% in Discord and even then they can't always hear me or what I'm saying, if others are in the call as well.Battery lasts max 8 hours, even if I'm just sitting in my chair right next to my computer and watching stuff on pc, not even using it all the time.If I move further than a couple of meters away the headset will either stop transmitting my voice, or lose connection completely which makes it play an ... MoreI was lucky enough to get the headset at a pretty decent discount, which makes me not regret my purchase completely.I've had the headset for little over 4 months and while the ANC and wearing comfort is great, that's where the positives stops.Everyone I talk with, complains that my mic is incredibly low in volume and quality. (Didn't do this part myself, since I have no idea how to do that kind of stuff)On both cups, there are two circular lights, that will always be on, unless you turn the headset off manually. If I don't turn off the headset at night, it's gonna have a disco all night (Or until it runs out of battery, I guess) This is despite having both "Automatic Power Off" and "Auto LED Off" turned on.I've tried changing the few settings available in the PC program, but none of them seem to fix my problems. Except turning off ANC, which would probably increase battery life. All in all, I can't recommend this headset to anyone, unless you get it for free or very cheap. There are cheaper and better alternatives out there :(

H9 Inzone Gaming Headset Worth Buying?Inzone are Sony’s foray into the high-end sector of gaming headsets, and while they are targeted at PC & PS5 personally I think their main audience is going to be PS5 gamers like myself. My review is solely based on PS5 use not PC.The H9 model is the top end of the Inzone gaming headset range and for the extra cost you get Sony’s noise cancelling/ambient sound technology. But is it worth paying out extra for them?Packaging in all new branding for this the outside of the box looks good it’s bold and colourful but inside the box its your usual headset set up and honestly they’ve missed a point by not at least supplying a dust bag to keep them in.Build quality and yes it’s all made of plastic and only available in one ... MoreH9 Inzone Gaming Headset Worth Buying?Inzone are Sony’s foray into the high-end sector of gaming headsets, and while they are targeted at PC & PS5 personally I think their main audience is going to be PS5 gamers like myself. But is it worth paying out extra for them?Packaging in all new branding for this the outside of the box looks good it’s bold and colourful but inside the box its your usual headset set up and honestly they’ve missed a point by not at least supplying a dust bag to keep them in.Build quality and yes it’s all made of plastic and only available in one colour but its good quality plastic, tough and durable and that’s a good thing because it keeps the weight down. They feel solid and well built with the soft leatherette ear cups and adjustable headband for a comfortable fit that allows players to use them for hours at a time. Yes the ear cups are big but fit well and even with my small head and ears they sit comfortable and honestly you don’t feel they are there and they don’t move around or are uncomfortable at all. I love the pivoting and swivel hinges on the cups allowing them to sit flat when not in use either on your neck or on a table surface, wish they had done this with the 3D Pulse headphones. The LED lights by the hinges are a nice touch; they are white when connected to your wireless dongle and blue when connecting via Bluetooth. The microphone is a bit on the big size but doesn’t get in the way when either in use or pushed up out of the way and again its reasonably well made and solid with a little bit of pliability to allow you to move it towards your mouth when in use and yes I know its not removable but for me that’s not an issue. And the flip to mute makes life so much easier and you have the added click sound to know when it’s off.Controls on the cups are well placed, solid and are not intrusive apart from the volume wheel, which is more prominent to make life easier. So on the left side is the volume control wheel, which is a great idea it’s easy to reach and works well, then on the same side is the noise cancelling and ambient sound button and everyone knows how good this works on Sony’s headphones and this is no exception it works very well on these. Finally on the left side is the USB C charging port and the microphone is also situated on the left side cup.On the right side is the power button, the game and chat button and the Bluetooth button and while where mentioning the Bluetooth button I have got to say well done Sony for allowing me to connect these headphones to other Bluetooth devices and the ones I have tried have connected without any issues.Sound quality is what you would expect from Sony I have had no issues while gaming or using it to listen to music or making calls the controls for volume and noise cancelling are quick to respond with no distortion or dropouts. And the microphone is crisp and clear while either gaming or on phone calls. The easy to reach volume wheel make life easier to quickly adjust the volume especially while gaming if things get a little hectic and loud. The ANC works great especially while making and receiving calls and if you are gaming with other external noise in the background and the quick on and off button access allows seamless interaction with anyone when required.Battery life is pretty good at 32 hours although I have been getting just under 30 hours which is pretty decent, the only down side is no low battery indicator on the headset and once onscreen its just a guesstimate of what is left a proper battery percentage would be much more preferable. So to answer the question are they worth the cost? If money is no object to afford them then yes they are but me personally I would go for the H7 version you get nearly all the same benefits bar the ANC the build quality is pretty much the same apart from cloth instead of leatherette head band & ear cups. No difference with the sound quality and the battery life is better due to the lack of ANC capability. So it all comes down to personal choice and what you would prefer from your headset and what else you might use them for, battery life over ANC?Saying all that it’s a good first attempt at the high end gaming headset market for Sony and we know they never get it 100% right the first time so lets see what the future brings and the tweaks they will apply for their next generation and hopefully a selection of colour choices rather than just white?
Sound quality is good. Headset is more comfortable than the sony pulse headset and is adjustable. How ever the adjustment doesnt go small enough. Honestly who buys these and extends the arms all the way. With it on the smallest setting it is just a tick better fit than the non adjustable pulse head set. For reference im 6ft tall 160lbs and i dont have a melon head like the engineers who keep making these headset designs. All the r&d and that issue never came up?? However unlike the pulse the h9 is very comfortable even for hours of use on a long night of gaming. There seems to be electronic interference that i never had a issue with the way less expensive pulse headset. The capability to use with your phone at same time is a feature that seems unnecessary to me but opinions may differ.but while using headset for gaming when you answer a call your still hearing your games and ingame chats at same time so you must use the button on the side to change which your hearing more of. So at that point i might as well just pick up my phone and take the call and mute my headset. Also theres a switch to go from pc to ps5 this is crucial to switch or it wont display power level on your ps5 hope this review helps someone make up their mind on this product i actually had a friend recommend these he is 300lbs at 6ft he still wear it on the smallest setting if these issue get addressed id be glad to recommend but as of now its a hard pass since the comfort was literally the only redeeming quality these had to offer. And since im tired of searching for a better headset these will have todo.... For now
TL;DR: overall good, head band is uncomfortable but I'm bald so that might be whyI picked these up mostly just hoping the noise canceling would be similar to my XM4's, and it is. Overall I'm happy with these, but the head band is really uncomfortable. Note, I'm bald, so this might not be an issue for those with hair. I can feel it's cushion depressing against my head, and it's not like it's bottoming out, but I think the headphones weigh enough that the headband puts a lot of pressure on the top of my head. It took me a while to figure out I have to "turn" the headphones so the band is at the very peak of my forehead to be mostly comfortable. Otherwise, such as wearing it in the middle of my head, it doesn't hurt but it's definitely not comfortable.Beyond that, ... MoreTL;DR: overall good, head band is uncomfortable but I'm bald so that might be whyI picked these up mostly just hoping the noise canceling would be similar to my XM4's, and it is. Solid buy overall, just need to figure out a solution for the head band comfort.
I exchanged my broken Astro 50 Headset (read me other review on that model) and picked up these after sales associate recommended this model. These headpohones are a little unique due to the connection between the headband to the earcups. The button are straightforward on the bottom of the earcups so no real learning curve. I would still read the instructions. Charging is via any phone charger and a modern USB-C jack whic is now more common with Android and Apple products. The software download is easy and the servers don't take forever to install. Updates do take a few minutes but not too long. I find when tweaking the sound via the software fairly easy but it will take a little time to find the right fit. there are sound presets that you want to try out too. I find when tweaking the sound via the software fairly easy but it will take a little time to find the right fit. there are sound presets that you want to try out too. The sound quality, as with all sony sound products extremely good for a rpice point of $200. I'm sure there are better but I believe your $200 is well spent. I've only had this unit for about two weeks now and am very pleased with the sound. I play a lot of Modern Warfare 2 and you have hear the faint footsteps as people are trying to sneak up on you. The only perceived negative is that the mic boom only swings up and down. you have to adjust the earcup slightly to move the mic away but this is a very minor neagtive. The product even has noise cancellation too! I will see if the product holds up to use but since I have the yearly Total Tech membership, this gaming headset comes with a much better warranty to exchange or replace if broken due to a manufacturer's defect. Go buy them in my humble opinion.
Sound and noise cancelling performance is nice but, my god, Sony, why is there no native PS5 app when it's one of the headline features? Having to find and use a PC to customise the EQ and other settings is an oversight. Also, the notification sounds (turning off and on) sound like a broken stylophone. Why is there no announcer lady like on my Sony XM5 headphones? The comfort, sound and noise cancelling performance are all top tier (once you can set them up, using a PC). I paid about £100 for these. If I'd have paid full price (£269) then I would be livid at these rough edges.MAKE A NATIVE PS5 APP YOU DUMBOS
