This game will scare the crap out of you. If you like fun houses with a twisted ride while shooting clowns and other strange demonic beings then this game is for you. Its easily one of my favorite vr games I own and watching other people jump when they play it is just hilarious. Fun thing to do. While they are going down a hill turn on a fan and face it towards the player for an added xtra realistic feel. A must have for every vr owner.

Start with the Story, taking you through all the seven levels in order, selecting the difficulty you desire. You can also select a level from the menu. And the best part is that you can select the standard or motion controllers, and motion controllers allow independent aiming from each hand instead of independent standard control aiming via the joystick only. If you are looking for a quick bit of fun for your VR, this should be considered. First off, there are some roller coaster type stomach feelings that occur while playing. For me, that's great, one of the reasons I like VR. If you don't like that, skip it. As for the game, this is a rail based shooter played with the move controllers. Both hands hold a weapon. Other than that, no user input is needed. It's creepy with some jump scares and mildly intense moments as you are getting rushed by enemies. The time of the game is dark, but doesn't take itself too seriously. Think mental house carnival ride and you'll have an idea. Motion tracking for your aiming is done well here and no real struggles with the camera exist. The idea here is to go back and replay as you learn where special and hidden items are in each track. I ended up scoring this on sale for $8 after gamers club discount and it's a steal for the amount of fun you get for that price.

A fun haunted carnival romp
30 October 2018

Whenever someone walks into my room and asks what it is that I have on my head that makes me look like a robot, I explain to them that its Virtual Reality. Most people for are usually super curious about it and this is usually the first game show them. People totally new to VR usually really enjoy the entertainment provided by this game. This game is a rails on shooter. You are essentially riding a super spooky haunted roller coaster, toting guns in hand to defend yourself. It's a short, but rather amusing time that really does a great job of showcasing the ability of VR. It's like a cheesy 90s horror film, complete with jump scares and ghosts and ghouls that you just KNOW are going to pop up around a corner. Now thats not to say that it's bad. It's entertaining and because it was one of my first VR games, I did have fun with it. Aiming and shooting the guns felt great. The graphics weren't half bad either. This isn't something you'll be revisiting often. But for the novelty of "I want to be scared and shoot the paranormal in VR," it does the trick. VR has been evolving quite quickly, and there is most likely better out there. But especially when it comes to the VR scene, it could be infinitely worse. But this is definitely an fun romp for a couple of hours that I don't regret purchasing.

Best VR GAME i purchased so far
4 April 2017

I'm so new to VR and this is the game that got me going. Love being impressed and this one has it in, especially first time trying it out. If you like to share crazy wild experiences with your friends this is the game to put on. I loved Arkham too but very short game, lots of nice surprises in it. Robinson Journey I was actually getting sick moving around and the play got really boring, I would continue to finish the game but I just couldn't feel that motion sickness anymore. VR World, fun, but damn so short so this is really best game for me so far because I like to share and this one is for sharing. Get your friend over and set up a camera while his playing. Lot of laughs afterwards. Can't wait to get Resident Evil VR in my hand, looks promising. Right now Rush ... MoreI'm so new to VR and this is the game that got me going. First Person Shooter Horror Roller Coaster Game
6 March 2017

I picked up this game after trying the demo that came with the PSVR. The game as a whole provides a classic carnival style shooting range with the twisted horror from the Until Dawn game. Though not needed to play the game, having played Until Dawn you will recognize certain locations and scenes are familiar. Since the game is literally on rails the whole time, the movement is not as disorienting as some other games, but if you get ill on roller coasters, some parts will get you there. Using the Move controllers makes this game feel even more immersive as you start unloading shotgun rounds in everything that jumps out at you, and there are plenty of jump scares. This is a first person shooter horror roller coaster game, FPSHRCG, can I make that an acronym?Well worth having for the PSVR.

I know a lot of people that played the first game this was sort of based on were disappointing that it wasn't story-driven like that one was but having never played that game, this game as a VR exclusive is awesome! With all the jump scares of a good horror b-movie along with what you would expect from a trip through a quality haunted house, this game delivers. It's amazing how on the level of horror, how immersive the experience can feel. Play it in the dark alone or a fully lit room with friends. Either way, you'll feel alone and even though you know it's a screen, you can't help but fall for some of the tricks they throw your way.My only complaint is that it's a bit short but that seems pretty common with VR games at this stage and is sort of to be ... MoreI know a lot of people that played the first game this was sort of based on were disappointing that it wasn't story-driven like that one was but having never played that game, this game as a VR exclusive is awesome! With all the jump scares of a good horror b-movie along with what you would expect from a trip through a quality haunted house, this game delivers. It's amazing how on the level of horror, how immersive the experience can feel. Next Gen Homage To Old School Cabinet Shooter

I was hesitant on this game and did not buy on launch because I thought it was simply an on rails shooter milking a surprise hit franchise while the iron was hot but it is more than just that.I grew up in the arcade era and there are cabinet games that I just cant get into on current consoles. Racing sims, fighters, rail shooters... these were musts of mine walking in the arcade door but sitting on my couch, they hold little interest for me. Well VR completely resolves that for this game. I am back to shooting and having a blast as a horde of enemies come after me in waves. the only thing missing is having co-op.The quick of the game is that it is a psychological mind trip of all the things from Until Dawn. Gives you a nice drop down of how you scored compared to friends, local players and world standings. You do not need Move but it is much more immersive with Move.

Really Good!

For an early PSVR game, Until Dawn: Rush of Blood still holds up really well! Yes it’s technically an “on rails shooter” but they managed to pull it off in a way that works perfectly for VR. While being forced to sit on roller coaster and shoot things doesn’t sound very scary, being fully immersed in VR makes it scary. There are some moments that are absolutely terrifying! Everything feels good and it wasn’t more than a few times that I had to recalibrate my position. My biggest issue with the game is that the later levels get a little too gamey. They have you sitting there shooting at a boss for too long and it tends to get a little boring compared to the fast paced gameplay from previous levels.Overall I really enjoyed this game! It is a good first VR experience game because the gameplay is simple but really fun. I would recommend this even if you don’t enjoy horror games. I hope to see some sort of sequel in the future as it is one of my top PSVR games! 4 out of 5 stars
