[Rewarded Review] Absolutely horrible sound but amazing battery life

These earbuds are not worth the price at all. They sound horrible. Bass is completely non-existent. They almost sound like $8 earbuds. Actually a pair of JBL wired earbuds I bought for 20 bucks sound way better than these. Sure you can use the PC app and EQ them which makes them sound a little better but then you run into distortion problems. One of the other biggest downfalls is the EQ settings do not save when using them with the PS5. For $200 I would expect them to have made some sort of EQ settings in the PS5 or an app to go along with these. The sound on the PS5 is completely terrible. Bass is already non-existent on these on PC but on PS5 there is just no bass whatsoever. On the PS5 these are just treble earbuds. I highly recommend checking out the arctis ... MoreThese earbuds are not worth the price at all. They sound horrible. Bass is completely non-existent. They almost sound like $8 earbuds. Not only are they cheaper they also sound way better than these. These would be a great buy if they are priced around $50 but for $200 these are just not worth it at all. It's very disappointing because these have the best battery life out of all other gaming buds but the sound is just not it. If you want a pair of gaming earbuds with extremely long battery life these are for you but that comes at a cost. The sound is just plain out awful

So this is the first time using actual gaming stereo earbuds compared to using headsets that have some weight and slight odd feeling if you wear glasses. I have unboxed and read the documentation which supposedly would be the directions, but couldn't find much but a QR code so I have scanned the code which brought me to that page on my iPhone (which I can print out later). The controls are more of tap vs hold and differ from the left and right earbud. Tapping on the left bud toggles ambient noise and noise cancelling while holding down turns the mic on or off - right earbud tapping is increasing volume, holding is decreasing volume.I have a ps5 and so I have unwrapped and opened the headset and did charge for a half hour. I have plugged in the usbc dongle (which I had to switch to console as it was default onto PC), into the only one available usbc port on the PS5 on the front, and turned on the system. I have played a number of games and.. on low or decent volume it seems the bass isn't enough punch for me. I'll experiment with the different ear-tip pieces but I have just used the default tips that were already on there and the felt fine enough. The earbuds do feel premium and has that PS5 matching color scheme; they have left and right ear labels with contrasting colors of green and red. The case feels solid and has the charging indicator led, similar to apple AirPods with green for fully charged and amber for still charging; they hold both earbuds and the usbc dongle. The many earbud tip sizes are "on a stick" and theres quite a number of sizes to choose from. A usb to usbc short cable is included for charging (no 2 prong charging block included). The controls are good, right side earbuds are alert tones for volume up and decreasing volume - while tapping the left side earbud there's two different levels of tones/alerts for toggling ambient noise and noise cancelling which I'm unsure is which but its best to just listen during the gameplay and if theres an outside noise nearby - and holding has a female voice saying Microphone on or off which is pretty neat. When I have upped the volume loud and I think its a safe amount of loud that doesn't hurt any hearing (of course to each their own), the bass can be felt; I don't know if theres any support or update soon to up the bass.I haven't tinkered on PC though I do have an ASUS Rog Ally (which only has one avail USBC port and I'd have to get a hub to expand ports), I think theres more options on PC especially with the customization app of the levels of bass. For now, I could play with the decent of loudness on the PS5 which adds enough bass, and enjoy gaming especially multiplayer FPS games as well as survival horror; hearing your surroundings help in achieving certain levels in the game and eventually winning and beating it

[Rewarded Review] Easy to use, good clear audio, and comfortable

I have been using these ear buds for roughly about 2 weeks now exclusively for gaming on the PS5. Packaging is very good, nice and safe for transport, no plastic used for disposable packaging, and a nice little chargeable carry case for the ear buds, and dongle. Nice selection of sizes to fit most ears, I personally found the smallest were the most comfortable for me.The first time I used them, I pushed all audio through the ear buds to give them a good audio test. They turn up loud enough, and I didn’t feel the need to turn them all the way up. Bass response is very good, and they are crystal clear in the other frequencies as well. Spatial Audio works well, and in my opinion they work just as well for audio as overhead head phones, which I am very pleased about as the strap on overheads tends to become quite uncomfortable over long periods of time for me.The noise reduction could be a bit better, doesn’t block out everything, still lets a little bit of high frequency noise through on the harshest setting, but normal use I doubt you’d notice. The ambient noise setting works really well. I had a few long gaming sessions, with external surround speakers providing the game audio, and the ear pods providing the chat audio. This also allowed me to talk to my wife at the same time. I did have to reboot the ear pods once, as my friends were saying I sounded like a robot, but after I rebooted them, everything was fine.Really like these ear pods, found them comfortable, easy to use, and with good audio. Think I’m going to use these for the foreseeable future instead of the overheads which I was using.

[Rewarded Review] Fantastic Earbuds, just need deeper bass.
15 November 2024

My only issue with these earbuds is that the bass isn’t quite deep enough. Still not bad by any means, but if you’re a bass head like myself that likes thundering bass, then these miss the mark. Again, they’re still great earbuds and you will enjoy them, just don’t expect deep bass that’s all. Outside of that, they’re definitely some of the best out there IMHO. I’ve only used them on my PS5 Pro, but they also work on PC, which offers way more customizable features like an EQ where you can adjust the bass and other audio settings to your liking. Similar to AirPod Pros, these also use touch gestures to adjust volume, turn the built in mic on/off as well as the noise cancellation. Speaking of noise cancellation, it works very well! I would recommend these to anyone looking for a good pair of earbuds for gaming/movies/music.

[Rewarded Review] Headphones for the gamer

My first delve into higher quality wireless earbuds. As always with sony new packaging focuses on the enviroment with a large proportion being recyclable. The buds come in a nice ergonomic case which I liked. Opening up the case the initial thoughts are that the headphones are quite chunky. For me I liked the look of the design and although appearing chunky fitted and felt really nice. Not having a playstation I am unable to state how these work woth that system but with the sound quality being great would recommend you consoder these. There was no set up issues but you do obviously have to have the added dongle to the base of your phone. Like other recent sony headphones I have tried, for me the sound is great and thats the main thing from headphones. Comfort is not comprimised but I did find the touch settings lacked compared to my other overear sony headphones. This may be with the size of the touch area being alot smaller. These headphones are definatley a great quality for playstation and PC owners to consider, but due to the operating system and dongle, would not be the best if you were someone just looking to attach them for a phone.

[Rewarded Review] Lightweight, really comfortable, excellent sound

After using these INZONE buds, I would now find it very difficult to go back to the over ear / headband type phones for gaming. These INZONE buds are exceedingly lightweight and very, very comfortable – easy to forget you are wearing them. I thought the short length of the charger cable supplied almost comical, but presume it is for travelling / emergency use as everyone has longer USB C cables at home now.Minor quibble - The comfort and quality of sound provided by the buds is so good that I would have also liked to use them with my phone for music / podcasts etc. However the Inzone buds use Bluetooth LE which is incompatible with most iPhones. Conclusion – these are for serious gamers and really do offer excellent performance and extreme comfort. Would definitely recommend.

[Rewarded Review] The Buds that will be rooted in your ears

I’ve been using the INZONE Earbuds for the last few weeks, and I can tell you that they have completely changed my perspective on gaming audio.Sony have once again displayed their commitment to their minimalistic vision when it comes to packaging. Long gone are the days of the oversized, unnecessary, cumbersome boxes. These buds come in a very small box with exactly what is needed and nothing more. Inside you’ll find a small amount of paperwork a USB to USBC cable for charging and a very aesthetically pleasing charging case which contains the buds themselves and the dongle. You also get a range of different bud-tips for those that may need to switch them out for a better fit.Now I’m definitely someone who loves attention to quality and detail, so the first thing I noticed was the lovely matt black finish to the charging case. When opening it the dongle sits nicely in between the buds and was surprising smaller than I was expecting. This comes with a small slider to switch between PS5/mobile and PC and has a USBC connector. The buds themselves have an extended in-ear piece and then the main housing of the 8.4mm drivers, microphone and a sleek customisable touch sensor for controlling Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) and volume. They are incredibly light too weighing in at a mere 6.5g each. You barely even know you have them in, with the design and fit of them I found that there was zero fatigue even after several hours. I’ve got to say, retuning the buds to the case is an absolute delight. The magnetic charging points pull them back into their docks with satisfying precision. The battery life on these is off the chart. You get 12 hours from the buds and a further 12 hours from the case, and they absolutely deliver on that. I was drilling my way through Spider-Man 2 for hours at a time without even having to think about charging. And if by some gaming-hole miracle you do find yourself out of juice you get an hour’s usage from just a five charge. This brings me nicely on to the sound and performance of these little black opal gems. To say that I’ve been blown away by them is a massive understatement. I’ve always been ecstatic with my Dolby Atmos soundbar for my gaming needs since trying these for the first time I’ve not played without them. FC24 the crowd surrounds you with the 360 audio. Mortal Kombat has a whole new level of bone-cracking intensity, and you can literally hear every footstep and bullet shell in Call of Duty. You pair that with the crystal-clear microphones, and you really do get the full immersive experience. The latency on these is ridiculous. We’re talking 30 milliseconds here! 60 milliseconds is good but this is next to no time in comparison thanks to the Wi-Fi connection. The ANC is really good, using the same software that you get in Sony’s top of the range earbuds. I’ve had my mate scare the bejeezuz out of me by being in the room without me knowing. So that should tell you all you need to know about that. The touch controls are excellent and can be customised through the app should you need to, but I found the default perfectly fine. There’s also the Bluetooth option if you don’t wish to, but the performance won’t be as good. You also have to option of hooking these up to your mobile phone should you wish to but for me these are full throttle, pedal to the metal gaming beasts. You also have the option to customise the equaliser through the PC app and you can even upload a picture of your ear for analysis and true personal sound for those that want to fall down that rabbit hole.So now we’re talking bang for your buck? I’ve been waxing lyrical for a while on these for a while, but I truly can’t recommend them higher than I have done. The £179.99 price tag is on the high side, but if you’re committed to your gaming experience and have the money to spare then you should treat yourself and not feel an ounce of guilt about it.

On the Playstation you may want to configure your audio settings to adjust pitch levels but over all not too much to tinker with which i think is a good thing but did leave me a little confused. With any other flagship buds they usually come with all this baggage firmware but not in this case. Now mobile really isn't too far from the same thing, but there is an app which i can assume is used to finely tune your audio, but after i complete head tracking it doesn't give me direction of what to do next which i can assume is a bug issue, but i dont think im missing too much.Experience-I am completely blown away with the 360 audio quality, i have had the pleasure of playing Alan Wake 2 and the latest Call Of Duty while using the Inzone buds and you can pick up on every detail of sound with pin point accuracy, i would find myself almost instantly reacting to sound just on instinct. I havn't really had that experience on previously bought headphones within this price range. Battery life is amazing im yet to charge them but knowing 5 minutes of charge gives me 1 hour charge reassures me that i won't be put out for too long when they die out.Functionality-Navigation of the buds comes pre-optomised. With simple tap mechanics on the buds to navigate volume, mic's, Active noise cancellation and ambient mode.To conclude my review i am leaving with recommending these Inzone Buds with full reassurance that you wont be disappointed. Having something so lightweight makes gaming even more comfortable.Thank you for reading my review i hope you enjoy these buds as much as i did.

[Rewarded Review] These Are Some Great Gaming Earbuds
19 October 2023

The Inzone Buds have been a pleasure to use from the moment I took them out of the box and they will become an essential part of my daily use. But before I tell you why let’s deal with what comes in the box. Once opened you’re greeted with the buds inside its charging case, a USB-C dongle(in between the earbuds), a quick start guide as well as the usual paperwork(warranty + manual), two INZONE stickers, a USB charging cable and, set of small, medium and large earbud tips.Getting set up is straightforward, I just took the dongle out popped it into my PS5’s front USB-C port and it worked right away. There was no tinkering of settings needed. There was no tinkering of settings needed. One might say hey this is a Sony product so by default it should work right away with another Sony product which is fair but I had the same experience when I tested with my PC, I flipped the switch on the dongle from PS5/Mobile to PC plugged it in and it worked right away. I did however delay testing to fully charge the buds which took around 1.5 ~2 hours. I also want to point out that connecting these to other devices such as Android phones and tablets via dongle worked flawlessly, just plug in and play, I even tried it with my Nintendo Switch and it worked well. I highly suggest downloading the INZONE Hub app on your PC and using it as part of your setup process. It isn’t required but to get the max out of the buds and to also customize them you’ll need to.I’m sure most gamers would agree, that immersion into the worlds we escape to is of great importance as it heightens our experience and enjoyment. To that end, sound is a pivotal component to achieving this immersion and with these buds, Sony has once again demonstrated its mastery of audio technology as this performed extremely well at everything I threw at it. The sound was crisp, and clear, making every footstep, gunshot, crack, slam, directional sound, or dialogue pop with impressive detail. The deep bass ensured that explosions and dramatic moments packed a punch, enhancing the overall gaming experience. I tried this with God of War Ragnarok, Hogwarts Legacy, Spiderman: Miles Morales and of course, Call of Duty(Cold War and Mobile), and the audio in each was immense and impactful, especially given the fact that these buds feature ANC which ensured you were locked into the experience and free from external noise distractions. They also boast low latency which made it ideal for gaming. Also, these were very comfortable to wear for multiple hours at a time. They sat in place securely without slipping out easily and not once did I feel ear fatigue even after a 3-hour session. I didn’t strictly test the battery life but I can say these lasted over 10 hours easily on a single charge. Finally, I want to touch on customizing the buds via the INZONE Hub app. First off the touch controls on the buds are intuitive and responsive, providing quick access to volume adjustments, playback, and call management. But if you connect to a PC( ensure the dongle is switched to PC) and fire up the app, these controls can be changed. The app is intuitive to use and easy to navigate and each bud can have a setting assigned to 1 of 4 touch actions ( i.e. 1-tap, 2-taps, 3-taps, long press). You can raise and lower the general volume, the chat or game volume, toggle between ANC and ambient sound, and even mute the mic right from the buds themselves( works well on the PS5). All of these options along with the equalizer settings you can tune your liking get two thumbs up from me and I recommend trying the app.Sony's INZONE Buds are a marvel for gamers and audio enthusiasts alike and I’m sure both groups will enjoy using them. The ANC, audio quality, and comfort make them a top-tier choice and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for incredible audio performance in the gaming world and beyond.
