Sony's WH-CH710N Wireless over-ear headphones that feature active noise cancellation (ANC). They offer a snug fit and a nearly 30-hour continuous battery life, making them great for extended days on the go. Their bass-heavy sound profile gives your favourite music an extra thud and punch. But their sound is average cause the mids and highs are lacking in clarity. The ear cups aren't very deep and they do not fold at the hinges. Unfortunately, their ANC is not great and does not effectively filter out background noise, and they have no sound adjustment options via the Sony headphones app that they have no support for. Having said that, these simple over-ears provide a rather adaptable overall performance. These also do not come with a carrying case. Bought these headphones with the Black Friday deal for $68 & I’m pretty dissatisfied with them entirely. They originally go for around $150 which is absolutely absurd to pay for this kind of quality. If I originally had to pay the $150 they would be returned immediately. They are barely worth the $68 already. They leak sound very bad - forget bringing them to the library or somewhere quieter. Noise cancelling doesn’t work the best & headphones themselves are not that loud. I can have them on the highest volume & still my AirPods are way louder. They don’t connect to my phone when calls come in & I’ve had so many issues with listening to something & calls start coming in & I’m completely unable to get them to connect all of a sudden & makes them useless. & one of THE ... MoreBought these headphones with the Black Friday deal for $68 & I’m pretty dissatisfied with them entirely. They fall/ slip off super easy which makes them very inconvenient overall. You can’t make them any smaller on the band either so there’s pretty much nothing you can do to make them stay. They’re overall very cheap quality/material & feel as if I can break them easily. This makes me very turned off from purchasing headphones with a higher price tag from Sony in the future.

This does not perform as I thought it would. I could have done due diligence but I was not aware these things could even be issues.Bluetooth has strong limitations. If I want to use the headphones to call someone, all other sounds are cut out. If I use the wire, the mic of the headphones do not work (why??). The wire provided is too short for my use case.Bluetooth needs to be quite close or the connection will cut every other moment briefly. On the positive side, these headphones are better than the other ones we had. The padding goes around your ear, directly on your head. This is good since otherwise if you keep pressure on your ears for hours, your ears will be in pain. The battery's duration has not been an issue for us.The voice that says "power on" and ... MoreThis does not perform as I thought it would. As soon as I unpacked them, I knew this was going to be a lackluster experience. The build quality feels extremely cheap. Time will tell how long that lasts. The noise canceling isn't great. I continue to struggle differentiating between the 'On', 'Ambient sound', and 'Off' options. Finally, the EQ levels, fresh out-of-the-box, are bad with trebles being the worst offender. Even with some tweaking of the EQ levels on my Phone, the trebles struggled. What's worse is that if I use these headphones with a device with no EQ settings, I'm stuck with the crappy stock EQ experience, as there is absolutely no Sony Headphones app compatibility. These headphones aren't worth 250 bucks. I'm sure I could've spent Mt money much better elsewhere.
I think the actual sound quality and bass are very good. The audio does leak a little at max volume which is unfortunate. The actual build quality of the headphones feel cheap and flimsy but they are somewhat comfortable, even when wearing headphones. One major complaint is the noise cancelling and ambiance mode do very minimal, I cant tell when theyre on or off because they do not work too well. The microphone quality is somewhat bad, it sounds like a very cheap microphone. It also is not too portable as they do not fold or come with a carrying case. Charging is very slow compared to other ones like Skullcandy Hesh ANC which is significantly cheaper.Summary: Outstanding Sound and bass. Mediocre noise cancelling and ambiance mode. Bad points: The sound quality out of the box is like I've got my head under water and the vocals of songs are really unclear, even after playing with the equaliser on my Spotify app. It's like the headphone settings are totally unbalanced. I can't find a way to significantly improve them but equaliser changes have helped.I also found that the Sony Headphones App is not compatible with these headphones so you can't customise any profiles or audio settings on the headphones themselves.Good points: The noise cancelling is pretty decent, and the ambient sound setting is good. Even without noise cancelling or ambient sound switched on, they block out most external noise anyway. The ear cups are comfy and they also don't let much noise out which is good for people in ... MoreBad points: The sound quality out of the box is like I've got my head under water and the vocals of songs are really unclear, even after playing with the equaliser on my Spotify app. It's like the headphone settings are totally unbalanced. I need to wear noise cancelling headphones nearly 100 percent of the time when I am at home. As I am currently located right in front of an agri business with flexible work hours the sound of bulldozers pushing dirt around may begin as early as 5 am.While I had been a heavy user of headphones before here there is no good time to be without so versus gaming or working remotely ( as an early adapter so 13 years later I was able to help those not used to it on work- life balance ) the headphones in use stand a good chance of my falling asleep with them.As it is a need ( I have synesthesia so unexpected sound is a bit like taking a blender to my brain ) I try to have no fewer than two working good quality and a back up whatever is on sale not to expensive so I am ... MoreI need to wear noise cancelling headphones nearly 100 percent of the time when I am at home. The audio is still good but as a tight fit is vital to my needs this was a problem. In that time it outlasted a total of 3 ( 1 and 2 replacements ) of a brand primarily aimed at gamers which has a lot to say about durability and now my extended warranty with another retailer is not being honoured despite those ones having a 2 year manufacturer and add standard extended I am not there yet.I am probably a bit on the cranky side given the combination of both synesthesia and autism can make headphones invested in very life or death weight that may be fairly unique given auditory to visual field synesthesia is low incidence and the type I experience low incidence within it - I could be a set of one in how serious this is as a need )With it difficult to afford the kind some friends easily get funded I had modest expectations for these when they were on sale in the first Black Thursday of pandemic mode but they stood up exceptionally well .Their battery life may actually be underestimated which I have not seen in other electronics.Sound is good and while i used it mostly with computers that have additional audio programs when using it with my back up , is barely a computer device , the sound did not take that big a hit other than in nice to have personal streaming tuning but overall still great
I was looking for good quality noise cancelling headphones under $ 100.00 and came across the Sony WH-CH710N wireless noise cancelling headphones offered at a sales event at BestBuy. My choice of color was grey. I paid only $68.00, and it is well worth it. The noise cancelling function works well. By switching the ambient noise off it can be made more effective. The headphones are light weight and portable, good for travelling. Unfortunately, there is no control to adjust the base. I find the base a little too high for my comfort. Overall, it is a good headphone for the price. It also came with a free 4-month trial period for Amazon music which can be cancelled at any time without a charge. The whole package will make a nice gift for Christmas.
