I purchased the Xperia Premium about a month ago. And I have to say that I'm really happy with my purchase. There are a lot of flagship phones on the market and this is definitely one of them. The specs of the phone are very comparable to the other big brands and the price is really competitive too.The phone is super fast, has plenty of on board storage with the option to add a micro sd which is super easy to do. There is also a fingerprint scanner on the power button which isn't mentioned in the specs, it's super responsive (maybe not as responsive once you add a phone case, sometimes takes a couple attempts) The screen is amazing!!The battery is standard. Easily lasts a day with normal use.As for the appearance of the phone, I personally think it's one of ... MoreI purchased the Xperia Premium about a month ago. The glass feels really good in the hand but definitely picks up a heap of fingerprints. That being said, if you're going to spend this amount of money on a phone, you would be silly not to invest in a case. As for the bezels top and bottom!! There's a lot of people questioning Sony's inclusion of them as most of the other big brands are now phasing them out and having borderless screens.. It's just my opinion but.. I think the bezels look great. It makes the phone stand out amongst the competition. The only negative that I can think of is that it is quite a large phone, if your someone with small hands it might be a little uncomfortable to navigate.Overall I am really impressed and super happy I chose Sony Xperia Premium as my new phone.

So after 6 yrs away, looks like I'm back with Sony. I have been researching new phones for the past few months before I dive in and make the upgrade from Samsung. After reading many Pro reviews, I can say that all the Cons they list is just the reviewer trying to justify their job. I have learnt to take reviews on phones with a grain of salt, if its anything other then a Samsung or Apple it gets picked to pieces. This phone is Hundreds cheaper then the "Top" manufactures and has the same features and more, and better, so that in its self justifies my purchase. This phone by far has the best battery life I have experienced, 2 days with moderate to high use. although high use to me is probably low use to others. Just keep in mind that the super slow mo is cool, but it only records at 720p so it tends to get grainy in low light.

I've had this phone for 6 months now. It's the best phone I've ever owned. The 4K HDR display makes videos and content in general vivid and mind-blowing. The camera is marvellous, photos are incredibly detailed and balanced in good light. The phone itself is incredibly fast and easy to use. The system is packed with many cool features that makes using it a blast! The Android OS works amazingly well with this device. ¡The design of the phone itself is the only part I have heard negatively about, however I think the build is very sturdy and the design is very nice. The bezels allow for a dynamic forward facing dual speaker system and somewhere to put you hands while watching a movie or playing a game. Would buy another one after this one dies with no doubt. Great job ... MoreI've had this phone for 6 months now. It's the best phone I've ever owned. The 4K HDR display makes videos and content in general vivid and mind-blowing. I previously owned a Sony Xperia z, after using the phone for six years, I decided it was time to retire the old machine and invest on a new one. I have been looking around the market for a whole year and after much consideration and with the high quality, standards and parctice of the Sony company, I was in no doubt that this was the right phone for me.In short, the phone is mechanically at the same level of the best Apple and Samsung phones out there (I argue its better because my previous Sony lasted six years while my sisters Apple didn't make it past its warranty period), Sony is by far cheaper, but just because its cheaper doesn't mean its worse, its more practical than an Apple phone in terms of what it allows you to do because of the Android operating ... I have to say I experienced both of these when I initially used the phone, but it turned out that the Wi-Fi issues were due to the phone updating and only needed a restart, which I didn't do and you should always restart a machine after an update, its rule. The sound issue was due to the sticky tape cover over the phone which you are supposed to take off and I didn't in case I changed my mind and wanted to return the phone. After restarting the phone and removing the cover, sound is pretty good and Wi-Fi is excellent, better than my sisters Apple phone. I just can't say enough good things about this phone, the price you pay for it in Very.co.uk at the moment is the cheapest in the market and if you buy now pay 12 months later as I did, this phone will be the best investment you made this year.
This is an amazing phone with lot of features. I believe Sony makes great products but it's marketing is lacking. This phone is much more affordable then other premium phones in market at this time. Most premium smartphones including Apple use Sony censors for there cameras. This XZ premium has 3D image software, 960fps ,which is much ahead of iphone X 240fps. 4K screen which may be overkill for some, but some Netflix movies look awesome. It has high res audio, with amazing sound. There is design criticism but I find it a very beautiful phone. Remember even recently till iPhone 8 Apple phone was using bezel too.Overall one of the best smart phones in market, but hype around other phones and great marketing by Samsung and Apple may not make this phone a great ... Sony is a Japanese brand that means quality to me and has for decades. This phone does not fall short. It is my first smartphone. The last cell phone I purchased was in 2006 (a Sony-Ericsson) and believe me, it wasn't smart. Small, convenient size and flawless operation but that's it. This phone akin to a full-fledged computer. I'm a wiz on a PC so the learning curve to use Android was very easy. I can't believe I waited this long. This is the first cell phone in the world to have a 4K (4 times the resolution of High Definition). The configuration settings are amazing. Call quality nice and clear. No dropped calls (using the phone 3 months now). If I'm on the phone and enter the car...the call directly transfers to Bluetooth (don't need to press any buttons). When I ... When I use the phone in the car, the music player automatically connects to the audio and continues playback from the last place the music was playing. And there you have it. Sony. The one and only. I bought this phone in January 2019 to replace a very old iPhone I had. Since the step was quite big, any phone released after 2014 could feel new and better. It's been a bit more than a year I've been using this Sony then. However, I am very very disappointed in Sony with this product.I don't play games on my phone, I do not listen to podcast or stream movies nor music. I mostly use it for dictionaries for my studies, e-banking, exercice app/training (studies and music) and of course the basic phone functions.I needed the phone jack to work because I use it to study music a lot. But it simply does not function. This started after a few months of use. I have to use a third-party app to force the sound to come out of the jack when I plug in earphones. It's ... But it simply does not function. This started after a few months of use. I have to use a third-party app to force the sound to come out of the jack when I plug in earphones. It's stupid. It also means that earphones that have a mic included cannot work, so making calls with them plugged-in is almost useless.Camera is also bad in my opinion. It cannot take pictures with overall sharpness. It focuses on one point et then blur the rest. I know this is something common in smartphone camera but with this Sony it's worse than with my old iPhone. For example, reading a photography of a text in a book is difficult just because it can't take a picture with an average sharpness overall. Every picture looks kind of blurred and it's automatic, can't be deactivated. On top of that, the shutter speed is so slow it makes it so easy to take even blurrier pictures.Fingerprint reader is also meh. Fortunately I don't use it much.Nevertheless, the waterproofness, the stereo sound at the front (next to the screen) and ergonomic design are fine. It might just be a bit too big for some hands (like mines).
This is by far one of the best phones I've ever owned! It has an amazing display, the worlds first 4K HDR display, when streaming content in 4K and HDR I assure you it's like nothing you've ever seen before with colours so lifelike and contrast and brightness to boot, I have been streaming HDR content from apps capable of HDR and various other 4K content and its just beautiful! It has an absolutely stunning camera, which takes incredibly natural, life like images and has the ability to record videos in up to 4K resolution and if you're feeling particularly creative you can use the 960p super slow motion to capture the most subtle of movements for a very intense slow motion effect. Underneath all that is a chipset which allows for lightning fast interaction and Internet speeds, which I kid you not, rival my fixed home broadband! (I'm on 200 Mbps!!) The battery life is absolutely brilliant! I don't need to charge my phone for two days often and this is with a very good amount of usage per day, a mixture of streaming videos, checking emails, browsing the Web, taking photos and playing games.Absolutely rivals the top contenders on the market! I could not recommend it any further then I already am, you won't be disappointed!
Almost every aspect of the latest Sony flagship is premium. But to sum it all up this device is a great choice to make in comparison to the other leading phones. The stand out feature of this isn't some squeezy sides or a stretched out unusual aspect ratio. Instead you get a top of the line Sony display. With 4K HDR 10 support. Being a Sony display it doesn't disappoint. Amazing for an LCD.Some audio features like dual front facing speakers are pleasant, headphone optimization and noise cancelling compatibility and equaliser.Camera is top of the line, but some people will prefer tinkering with the manual mode to bring the best pictures out.Battery is no problem in my experience, the device seems to run 1080p most of the time saving battery life.I'd say it ... A definite recommendation. On a side note I'd like to add at the time I write this early June 2017 only Amazon prime and YouTube support 4K content with netflix claiming in the future. So be aware of that.
Great size, large enough to use screen to watch films or read a book, but small enough to fit in your pocket. Camera is awesome, especially the slow motion- no other phone comes close to the speed of this. I like the separate camera button too. Fingerprint sensor is instantaneous, unlike Samsung. Plenty of memory and can add SD card as well. Sound quality is one of the main reasons I bought it and it doesn't disappoint- did a back-to-back comparison with a Samsung and this is way better. Bought a non-genuine case, but found that if you place a small magnet just over the mic icon on the home screen, it will automatically turn off the screen:) Battery easily lasts the whole day.
