What can I say about this book other than I loved it with my whole heart and will continue to love it, forever. Sorcery of Thornes is one those books you just can't put down under any circumstances and had me hooked from the get-go. Margaret Rogerson brings us a world of magic and love and doing what is right, and the execution was just brilliant. The main character, Elisabeth was such a refreshing character to read about. Her love for books, and following her heart made her such a pleasure to read about. Nathaniel Thorn, on the other hand, was just an irresistible character who can't help but love, his sarcasm, wit and charm were just part of his appeal as well as his devotion to those he cares about. And I shall not forget everybody favourite demonic servant, who ... MoreWhat can I say about this book other than I loved it with my whole heart and will continue to love it, forever. The romance was so sweet and the found family trope in this novel was just perfect. I would highly recommend this to those who love short and sweet YA reads.

What a fun book bringing our favorite libraries to life, literally! Sorcery of Thorns by Margeret Rogerson was an action-packed story about overcoming the prejudices we have towards other people. Our heroine Elisabeth Scribner grew up in the library, literally. Like she was orphaned as a baby and placed in the care of the local librarians. But these aren't your usual libraries. In Austermeer the librarians are called wardens and are tasked with protecting the public from books, and books from the public. These books are imbued with magic from the spells they possess, in turn bringing them to life, personalities and all!Elisabeth wants nothing more than to become a warden after she finishes her training. One night she overhears a commotion and goes to check on it. She discovers one of the books (grimoires) has attacked and killed the library's director. She is arrested after being found at the scene of the crime trying to help.Nathaniel Thorns, an infamous bachelor and sorcerer, comes to retrieve her for her trial, and the two form an unlikely bond. She also befriends Nathaniel's butler Silas but feels there is something off about him. She has lived her whole life believing magic and sorcerers are evil, but Nathaniel doesn't fit that mold. When she discovers Silas' secret her world is really turned upside down.Elisabeth and Nathaniel uncover century-old secrets pertaining to the leadership in Austermeer. And have to work together to save the libraries they love.I loved that this book brought libraries to life! It was a great metaphor for our libraries, which are full of their own kind of magic. And like Doctor Who once said, "Books are the best weapon in the world!" This book was also a standalone story, which seems to be in rare supply in the fantasy genre these days. So it's nice to take a break from series after series with a standalone fantasy story.I gave this book 5 stars and would recommend it to fans of YA fantasy novels.

I fell in love with sorcery of thorns as soon as I picked it up just from the beauty that is the cover alone, and I fell even more in love not even 10 pages in. This book was such a fun and easy read, and I couldn't help but finish all in one sitting. The characters and the world which Margaret Rogerson brings to life is just phenomenal. From the beautiful magical libraries, to the heroine's love for books, as well as the delicious sorcery and the richness in characters and formed relationships, this book was so hard not to love. Elisabeth is such a strong and loveable character whose love for books and sword-wielding abilities make her such an amazing character to get know and explore with. The formed friendship between the three was my absolute favourite and I can't get enough of how iconic they were together. This was a novel done right in every way from the magic, to the romance and everything in between. And I know I won't be the only reader who sees themselves in so many of characters and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Arrived in perfect condition. This books cover is beautiful. So excited to read this book :)
This book was fantastic. Once I started reading it, I couldn't put it down! The characters and story were wonderful. Margaret did a great job making the characters feel like real people, making it easy to have a strong connection with them. Was so sad to finish it, I wish there was a sequel!
Everything in this box is so well suited to the theme and the book. The cover change is the striking. I love that they work with artists to create one of a kind pieces, like the bookends. They the perfect size for any books you may have and the Narnia inspired design is so well done. Everything feels of good quality, so work the subscription. This is the box that made me fall in love with book boxes.
This box was my first Owl Crate box and I loved absolutely everything inside! The items matched the theme perfectly and were beautifully made. Many of them are showcased around my home and in my library corner. This edition of Sorcery of Thorns is one of my favorite books in my collection. I could not be more thrilled with Owl Crate and this stunning box. I cannot wait to receive another! And the shipping was so fast! Thank you, Owl Crate Team!
This was my first Owlcrate and I am over the moon happy with it. I can’t stop telling all of my friends how impressed I am with this service. This was my favorite book I have read in a long time and I have already used every single item that I received multiple times. My favorite item was the pin!!!
I got this box from the shop because I NEEDED that edition of Sorcery of Thorns. And the coasters. And the bookends. The only thing from this box I wasn’t willing to barter my soul for was the coffee as I don’t drink it. The box is honestly even better than it looks in pictures. Everything is really good quality and on theme and so beautiful. I’m go glad I managed to snag this!

In doing so the things she thought she knew begin to unravel and she begins to question everything she was taught and thought she knew.Okay so I finally caved and bought this book, and I'm not going to lie the cover was what drew me to this book. I'm so glad I bought it because I genuinely loved this. I loved the magical abilities that the grimoires held, the fact that they could transform into a creature of paper and ink... kinda. Nathaniel's backstory and his connection to Silas was brilliant and it made me love Nathaniel even more. Elisabeth's growth and change throughout the story was fascinating to read, I loved the fact that Elisabeth was a strong female character, also she could wield a sword which is just awesome. This was such a good read and the ending was intense and also SILASSSSSS. I LOVE SILAS
