SpareBox has evicted me and taken possession of my items and I’m unable to get answers. SpareBox is treating me like a criminal, one who’s committed a serious crime under exigence circumstances. On January 23rd, 17 days after I was last at my unit, l learned I was evicted, 14 days after I received a payment reminder of rent. I called customer service to make a payment and …..after a long pause, the representative said “ you have been evicted and no longer allowed on the premises. You were sent a notice on the 6th of January and had until January 8th to remove your belongings.”. Was this a joke? So you’re are saying “I was evicted from my unit and received notice on January 6th the very same day I received a payment reminder?” I demanded to be transferred to a supervisor and the rep said they don’t have their number so one would have to give me a call. I then asked to meet with the facilities property manager. The useless team of representatives at the call center try to be convincing that there aren’t any notes in my file therefore they don’t know the reason for the eviction. They are also unable to produce the eviction notice. They don’t know the location of my belongings. In addition I’m told I’m not entitled to speak to a manager or meet with the property manager of the storage facility because I was evicted and no longer a tenant My attempts to gain answers has proven to be unsuccessful as I have not been able to get beyond the call center representatives or the first line of defense, as I refer to them. The only communication I have had outside the call center reps was a response I received to a complaint filed with the BBB . It was unspecific and stated I committed several violations justifying immediate termination and assured me they followed the proposed eviction. They concluded it suggesting to contact then shoukd I have any further questions. I responded back asking to speak with someone ti explain this nightmare and requested proof of these supposed violations I committed. I have not received a response as of date. Therefore, they made an empty promise.SpareBox illegally removed my belongings, taken ownership and feel justified in not providing me with an explanation and/or answers. This company is a shady and practices dirty. It explains why they are not members of the self storage association that has influenced over 60 relevant self storage laws and their “F” BBB ratings. I’m in the process moving cross country so the unit I’m referring to contains all of my belongings. This includes all memories I’ve collected over the past 49 years including photos dating back to 1973, destination souvenirs, collectibles, items from my moms estate who is now deceased, important documents, and other sentimental items. In addition my entire wardrobe, my handbags, jewelry, all my furniture, all household items, all my decor, journals, valuables, gifting supplies, art supplies, artwork, linens, bedding and other misc items. My inventory of personal belongings in my possession include: one large suitcase of clothing, 6 pair of shoes, a toiletry bag, a make-up bag, 3 purses, a few accessories and a potable file for paperwork. Where is my property. No answers. Their silence indicates they have no intentions of returning my belongings
