There is a myth that buying smaller will hold you in better this only leads to ill fitting garments and discomfort. Be sure to buy your size. I honestly don’t understand the negative reviews it’s shape ware not a magician if your plus size before you will be plus size after but I was definitely smoothed out in the correct areas. Be sure to handle with care as you will easily poke a hole in material, this is not due to poor quality it’s thin so it can be breathable. Handle as you would a pair of tights!❤️

I actually like these a lot! I have issues with shapewear rolling down because your girl has a bit more to love in the back. But this holds up surprisingly well! I would say the firmness of the compression is enough to keep you feeling put together but the fit and material allow for breathability. So this isn’t quite as firm as some other shapewear I own. But that allows it to be a more comfortable hug to the body rather than a super, uncomfortably tight garment. I was looking for a high waisted anti-thigh chafing pair of shorts and decided to give this a go. I’m happy that I did.

I read the reviews and got one size larger than mine own. The fitting for me is more contouring than slimming. It’s a great piece to wear under dresses. I have a long torso and shorts are long enough to go up to my bra straps which is perfect for me. These shorts saved me from getting scratched when I recently got sparkly, sequinned trousers and needed something inconspicuous to protect my legs.

Oh boy. I've been excited to start buying Spanx items this year. I was excited to see how smooth I looked in clothes.Too bad I never made it in anything else after trying and failing to put these shorts on. The material looked like stocking out of the pack. But trying to get it on was like trying to put on too small compression socks.I pulled them up my calves only for my knees to knock together. I struggled for at least 5 minutes to get them around my thighs and up my stomach. Only for them to immediately roll down. No matter how many times I adjusted and pulled the top up higher, it rolled back down.In disappointment, I spent at least 2 minutes getting them off. For reference I’m 5’10 and around 245 lbs and I went with the size 1x which is what my weight category fell in. The top has a sticky strip which did roll- the roll wasn’t bad, BUT for the price, imo, it shouldn’t move when you got your correct size according to the chart. I do realize every body is different and that’s why I gave 4 stars but other than that it does what I wanted it to do which is smooth me out. Extremely stretchy, and the legs didn’t cut into mine. Pretty good suck-in power and eliminated the jiggle. Overall it’s nice.. overpriced.. but nice.

I bought a pair of these spanx a few months after having my 4th child. I had heard such good things about spanx, but unfortunately it wasn’t the case for me. This constantly rolled down on me, I tried my best keeping it up, tucking it underneath my bra, nothing worked. Then, not but a month or so after having it it started to rip, and got bigger and bigger. I have mad many shapers over the years, usually, buy them at Target, and they last years. This lasted barely a month. I ended up going to Target and getting another brand for less money and it hasn’t ripped or rolled on me. Learned my lesson, no more spanx for me.

Also another downside of these things is that little gusset in the middle of the crotch area does not stay closed I mean if you want air conditioning all day it's great but it's also a little uncomfortable lol I am 6'1 300lb and shaped like a palm bottle lol I have literally from Target that performs better than these babies lol but it made a good laugh for me and my sister.
I lost over 40 in 3 months, going from sizes 18-20 to 10. (My secret: Cut out sugar, eat proteins and veggies at a caloric deficit, and walk 10K daily.) Anyway, I purchased the Spanx for a smooth silhouette when I am wearing a fitted skirt or dress. I liked the high-waisted design to avoid a muffin top, but I hated the useless stick strip at the waistband because the waistband rolled down and never stayed in place with the strip. For that reason, I'd never repurchase/recommend it. If you do buy it, use your rewards because Spanx is excluded from sales.
I love this. It is seamless, and sucks and holds you in even under the tightest dresses. It smoothes the love handles really well but the stomach doesn't have as much of a slimming, flattening effect as I'd like. It does have the tendency to roll down so I tuck it under my bra and avoid wearing moisturizer in that area so it stays put. If you have long or sharp nails I'd be careful though, it can rip through the fabric.
