On the inside front you can see a sort of paneling that keeps you in and smooths everything out. The back looks a little funny because it has the actual área for your cheeks, once they're on they really sculpt and lift your derriere like nothing else!! They're a bit of a workout to squeeze into but I also did it with boyshorts on so that might be my bad. When I was getting them situated, I honestly thought I had ripped a hole but these shorts actually have a folded over open crotch for easier restroom usage which is great. It feels like they really spent a good amount of time designing these shorts to check off ALL of the boxes. They sculpt, keep you in, pop your behind, don't roll or cut you off anywhere, and they kept in mind that you’ll need a bathroom break at some point.

Amazing product!

WOW. I never leave reviews but felt compelled to after trying the Spanx Oncore Sculping shorts. I am a size 16-18 and purchased size 20-22 as they were the only size left in stock but I'm glad I did as they are quite small but WOW do they work! I have a lot of fat around my stomach and hips, a "tire" if you will, and these pants completely sucked it all in! They are sooooo comfortable too I wore them all day sitting down and walking around. They rolled down very slightly at the top but it's only a small band around the top and they it stops so I didn't notice and it wasn't visible through my clothes. I've only worn them once so far but hoping they last as they are quite expensive (but totally worth it).

Instant confidence boost!

I bought these to create a slim and seamless line under a mulberry silk skirt (which, by nature, will show EVERY lump and bump). This is a fantastic foundation garment to wear under this type of fabric, wonderful shaping and great for tummy-flattening! I can't say how happy I am with this purchase - it is exactly what I needed, and does everything it is supposed to!I will likely purchase in a different color as I can see this as a staple, easy to wear, soft and comfortable and you don't feel like you are being squeezed by an anaconda after a few hours' wear. I did purchase a small and medium as I saw mixed reviews on the sizing and the small was perfect, I am 5'5" and 150 lbs with a muscular frame.

Not for me?

I wanted something that could allow for a smooth and seamless look under a tight dress or skirt, specifically my wedding dress. Unfortunately, the top waistband rolls down and settles into my natural waist, no matter how I place it. If place the very top of the waistband exactly at my waistline, it pinches in uncomfortably and creates an awkward and unnatural looking exaggerated groove --? indent? -- around my waist. I am more hourglass shaped, with a defined waistline, so it makes sense that the material would settle there, but I had thought the short would be designed specifically to avoid this problem. Rolled down, returned

I checked reviews which were generally positive and mentioned they didn’t roll down at waist. But no, they did. I’m a size 12 and have a belly of course but I trusted similar reviews but to no avail. The material is lovely and the thigh part is thicker and more a typical shape wear material. The top is mesh but not thin and cheap, it was super strong when I was stretching every single way to get them on! I can tell they’re great quality but they’re clearly not made for certain body shapes as they wouldn’t sit on my wait belly or hips. The non roll grip thing they mention having is more of just a typical waist line, nothing special and actually more irritating than anything. Shame as I really like them otherwise

These run EXTREMELY small!!!

I can’t give an opinion because I didn’t wear them; they were extremely small and wanted others to be aware before buying! The size I bought should have been perfect, even a little big, based on the measurements. I couldn’t even get these on. They looked like they were made for a child! I wouldn’t even know which size to buy that could actually fit? Maybe the largest size? Very deceiving! I’ve never worn spanx so I’m not able to review the quality, comfort, or if they work at keeping tummy tucked in or not. I was disappointed and had to return.

WOW!!!

I was dubious of buying the power short as they are a thinner material to the Spanx slim cognito that I love. These feel more like tights. Wow! Was I surprised at how good they are. I am a UK 22-24 with a biiiiiiig fupa! These shorts worked better than the slim cognito!!!! They smoothed out my belly and thighs without smooshing my bum. They are super soft and comfortable. The only downside is that they don’t have the open gusset that makes it so much easier to go to the bathroom without having to take everything off! That being said, I am very impressed with these shorts. I also like that it comes in more shades. The chestnut colour matches my skin tone which is also a big plus!!!!

Wanted to like these

I was desperate to like these and prove other reviews wrong but I couldn't, they're right. There is nothing at the top to keep it from rolling down. It stayed fine in the front but the back immediately rolled down, so weird. The otherwise fit great. I might even need a size down to really get the shapeware effect. I'm short and these come up to right under my boobs or at my bra line, but that is normal for high rise spanxs. I have a pair from 8 years ago that seem to be an older version of this that have a material at the top that keeps them from rolling so I know its been done before.

Waste of money, not fit for purpose

I love Spanx. I've bought lots of their garments over the years and recently bought their leggings high are brilliant. These though are a different material - more like a swimsuit fabric - and they don't have the usual silicon lining around the hem to help keep them in place. They also aren't particularly snug, just difficult to get on and then weirdly don't actually hold anything 'in'. They don't smooth as well as the normal high rise thigh shapers either, the material is ribbed in the wrong place (for me) - tightest around the upper abdominal area then just no support at all from the waist down. Honestly the same as if I'd bought a cheap bathing suit a size too small. They also rolled down constantly, I had to try and tuck the top under my bra just to keep it ... MoreI love Spanx. I'm not particularly big, size 10 usually and got the XS. Any bigger and it would have been loose, but still difficult to get on initially. There's no give in the material, which sounds like what I wanted in theory but I now realise you want a decent amount of stretch so it pulls back in again once on. Definitely not worth the expensive price tag, and absolutely not suitable for summer - not breathable at all!! Best avoided and stick to original Spanx, if anything.

I’m new to shape wear, but because I bloat with almost anything I eat, and have a new body con to wear, I thought I’d look into these options.I normally wear a size 0; I believe the recommended size I should get was the XXS or XS. But, after reading the reviews, I ordered a S. For context, I’m 5’4”, 105 lbs. My hips are a tad disproportionate -larger- to my shoulders and chest. Meaning, I’m a 0 up top and occasionally need a 2 bottom. It really depends on the label.I tried these on after eating a big pasta dish - full bloat mode. A 2 should fit my tummy post-pasta. It’s the perfect condition to put these babies to the test.Even with the S, I felt like my eyes were going to pop out of my head!! Holy moly.
