The Eliminator Grid Trail 2Bliss Ready has a tread that combines an aggressive lug design with a balanced tread pattern. Its transition lugs help bridge the area between the centre and side tread, making the Eliminator ideal for hard enduro terrain. The tyre still offers the bite of a DH tyre, but still has good-natured handling in hard terrain. These characteristics are also particularly suitable for trail e-bikes.

Great rear tire at a reasonable price. I know, I know, "the Specialized team sharpies over their Maxxis tires!" So what? They get fresh tires put on for free every lap. I have to pay for tires, and I am never going to be a pro. These tires mount up easy (one tire lever, no sweating and swearing), and I've always been able to get the beads to seat with just a floor pump. Good balance of traction vs. wear vs. weight: I've ridden these everywhere from long pedal days in Tucson to lift-served laps at Whistler with no inserts and no rim strikes at 30 PSI (and I case a LOT of jumps). If the price stays at 1/2 for a comparable Maxxis I'll stick with these for a while to come!

The grid trail has been a long lasting grippy tire that came stock on my Turbo Levo several years ago. I have been impressed with the very good grip, even after 700 miles of sharp rocks, sand, and granite. It still has decent grip with 50 % of the tread gone, but it is finally timne for a new one, so I decided to purchase the exact same tire that Specialized decided to supply the bike with. Couldn't be happier😊

Half price for a set of Specialized tires? Yes please. I got this to replace a Purgatory that came OEM on my 2022 Stumpy Pro. I’ve heard good things about the Eliminator. Normally I’m a Maxxis guy, but I didn’t get Maxxis to replace my old rubber on this bike. That should tell you everything you need to know. Maxxis overcharges, and their quality control is lousy these days.

I use the 29x2.3 as a rear tire and it has fantastic traction and braking. The handling is very consistent. If it breaks loose on a wet root on a corner it immediately hooks up again. The downside is I have had 2 of these tires where the knobs started coming off the casing before I would have replaced the tire due to wear. This has never happened with a Maxxis tire. Frustrated, I put on a Maxxis Aggressor which didn’t have the cornering predictability I wanted and then a DHRii which felt like a boat anchor in the wet. So I went back to the Eliminator Grid trail T7 with the knowledge it will only last half the life of a Maxxis.
I recently mounted these tires to a set of We Are One Union wheels and was surprised at how easy they were to mount using a high volume pump. I am running this as a rear tire and love how well it rolls considering the amount of grip on offer. Braking traction is excellent and on par with the Maxxis DHRII.If you're looking to breakaway from the same old tire combo you've been running for the least few years then seriously consider this tire. I expect this would be a great front tire for a fast-rolling trail bike and it is ideal as a rear tire on a trail/enduro bike. The cheery on top is the price. These tires are significantly more affordable than comparable tires options from other top-notch brands. If you give these a try you won't regret it.
Got these stock with my Fuse, front and rear. Two seasons in and I’m still on the same pair, figure I’ll get half a season more. My local trails are clay based hardpack with the odd rocky rooty section so not the hardest wearing terrain but the durability is impressive. So is the grip for this terrain. Not the fastest running tire but a decent compromise. Some cross hatching in the rear tire sidewalls but comes with the territory when running tubeless at low pressure. Have another pair I bought on sale waiting in the wings…
Specialized tires are the right price. I was able to pick up an Eliminator and Purgatory, both in 2.6 to swap out my DHF/Dissector combo. The Eliminator/Purgatory is so much faster. The Eliminator feels a little less washy initially carving out front and rolls much faster than the DHF. The Purgatory is pretty quick and is decent enough grip comparable to a Recon a briefly rotated in but didn’t last very long. I might consider swapping the Purgatory out for another Eliminator out back when it goes. My '21 Fuse Comp is setup more for XC/Trail oriented riding, so these faster tires make pedaling in the flats and hills a bit more enjoyable, but I did sacrifice a little grip on looser, washed out gravel and roots compared to my prior DHF/Dissector combo so there’s that… ... MoreSpecialized tires are the right price. I love the grip, wear and suppleness of these Trail Grid T7 mid compound tyres. Puncture resistance is good although I have easily set them up tubeless which must help. The T7 is harder wearing than the T9 but still gives good levels of grip.Specialized tyres have restored their reputation for excellent tyres in their new T7 and T9 compounds.
I decided to use this tire after visiting with my local Specialized dealer who sold me my Epic Evo last June. His advice was spot on and they handled very well in dry conditions with lose rock and very steep punchy climbs. I actually put it on both front and back. I felt in control and very confident with it. I plan to use the same setup in my next triathlon which will have similar terrain.
So far so good, very sticky compound that has been serving well on dry loose dirt we have in the central sierras. Not a great rolling tire but that not what it was designed for either. Side walls seem to be tougher than my previous Maxxus Minion with less punctures. Probably would go with a T7 next time to aid with better wear and slightly faster rolling. The T9 up front seems like a good call. 2.6 is a must with a enduro hardtail. Tire fit well on my 30mm Hunt wheels.
