Solid laminated panel already sealed. Just needs a light sand and then apply your favourite coating. Good value and very stable with no cupping or splitting.

This timber looks great and is perfect for projects requiring a timber panel of this size. However please note that despite many of the spec rite panels being advertised as being capable of being cut to size, Bunnings won’t cut this type of timber due to the probability of it splitting during the cutting process and thus becoming unusable, and the risk to health and safety this provides. If it is the correct size for what you need then it is perfect, otherwise factor this in when considering it.
Seemed fine when it was still wrapped in plastic. Some time after taking it out of the plastic I noticed a split along the grain, not sure if it was always there or new. I just cut that bit off, but now having built the shelf, there are more splits starting. I'm not a woodwork expert in any way so maybe I did something wrong.
Beautiful timber to build our library wall, we purchased 75 pieces of timber, every one was perfect
When coated in lacquer all of the puttied up imperfections appear. However appears relatively sturdy.
Very happy with how these panels turned out. They where straight, flat and easy to work with.Once cut to size I sealed them with Feast and Watson's clear gloss polyurethane varnish to protect the benchtops and help make them more water resistant, it also brought the natural colours no stain required.
Very happy how the timber panel turned out. I used two of these panels as kitchen benchtops I sealed them with Feast and Watson clear gloss polyurethane varnish which brought out the stunning natural colour.Wood was straight, flat and easy to work with.
These panels are great; I used 14 all up to build some book shelves and all were perfectly straight. The only (small) issue is that under the plastic wrapping there is a paper/cardboard label (about 20cm x 40 cm) which left an obvious colour difference on every panel. It was as if they had all been sitting in the sun for ages (which I assume they hadn't). Fortunately, for my project I just turned them over so that you can't see that area. Otherwise I imagine that some sanding may be required.
