Spectra S2 Hospital Grade Double Electric Breast Pump

I love this pump because this pump helped me a lot during my breastfeeding journey when I have the first baby. It have the expression and massage modes with level low to hight. Vacuum strength of the pump is really good for emptying the breast. The replacement part of these pump is easy to find on Amazon and it not to expensive. This pump also has like a built in vibration feature during suction that helped with milk removal. The night light is very helpful for you to pump without wake baby during the night. I have tried SOOOOO many pumps and when I finally got my hands on this one I was kicking myself for waiting so long. I got caught up in the breast pump craze and thought I needed the newest and greatest pumps when I should have just gone with the OG! So many woman love the pump and thats because it simply works. Its very easy to use. There's no crazy modes. No "must have" new features. It's just a really good pump. It's very gentle but affective. I got the best output with this pump and this was the best pump to help build my supply. It's very quiet too so middle of the night pumps aren't disrupting sleep so much. This was actually the third pump I got. I’m upset I didn’t get this one from the beginning. My lactation consultant had told me great things about this pump. She mentioned that it was designed by a healthcare professional and it really shook the industry. Prior to this pump she said there were two major pump brands. Once this came around it became one of the most popular for a reason. I feel that this pump does it all. It efficient, easy to use, lightweight, comfortable and not too loud. It even has a light with a few different brightness options for those middle of the night pumps. I would recommend this pump over and over again. The only downside is that it is a little bulky. I personally don’t mind but it is something to consider.

Very happy with this pump, and I’ve used it with two babies, about three years apart. I get decent output with each session, dependent on other factors (like hydration, diet, etc.). Have had no problem with the provided flange sizes, though others are available. Replacement parts can be found in many places so you don’t have to worry about availability and they are affordable if not provided by insurance. I choose to double pump, though it is easy to convert to one side only. The machine caps out at 30 minutes but takes nothing to start back up with a push of a button or two, since it uses the last setting it was on when it shut off. Love the built in light for late night sessions when I don’t want overheads on.

I am an exclusive pumping mother. I pump every 3-6 hours for my baby. I actually have 3 spectra pumps. I keep one at work and one in my bedroom, and one in my living room. I bought multiple because these pumps are reliable! This pump is quiet and comfortable. It has a great suction. I get as much output as the hospital great pump. After trial and error i found the settings that work best for me. It has parts that are easy to clean which is important. The light is important for night time feeds. I recommend this pump to all my pregnant friends

I got this Spectra S2 through my insurance. I had to purchase new flange sizes because the one they sent were too big. Good suction. It has different settings to help adjust to the comfort. I started from low to high and end up usually used the highest suction level, but no pain at all. During 11 months of pumping, I had to replace the duck valve and back flow protectors about 3 times due to lost of suctions, which it did not able to empty out my milk. Once replaced, the suction was perfect again. It has a soft night light comes from beneath the handle, very convenient to pump at night. It does not have a rechargeable battery, it need to be plugged into the charge wall to be used. Not a quiet pump as I expected, but not too loud, still acceptable. Of course, the biggest downside with the Spectre too as opposed to the spectrum one would be that you need to, have this unplugged in and it isn’t wireless. It gives a few different options based on your comfort and if you were a new mom, that’s very helpful so you can start off slow. Im a new mom and doesnt have ton of experience on breast pump yet. So far, i had tried medela (hospital grade), willow and this Spectra S2. Overall, I like it the most compare to others. To me, it's stronger than the Medela at the hospital, but the flange is not made sicilicon. It's hard plastic so it's hurt and it doesnt suck out all the milk completely. With Medela, i have option to order the silicon flange from amazon. The valve from Spectra was hard to take it out to clean at first, but after using a while, it's got loosened and dropped into the cup while pumping.

Right after having my son, I was having breastfeeding issues that lead me to pump for bottle feeding. In the hospital they kept pushing me to rent a Medela Symphony Pump. The flanges were painful and days out from giving birth I was still having low milk supply. My husband decided to buy me this pump, and I am so thankful he did. No more pain with the flanges, and this pump pulled out almost three times more than what the Medela was giving me. The pump is super easy to use, and after two weeks I have had enough to feed LO and create a freezer supply. The only thing that could be inconvenient for some is that it’s not portable, and it also makes a continuous humming noise when plugged in.

Pathetic idea of not giving option to choose correct shield size at the time of ordering pump.

The pumping machine is great but there should definitely be an option to select shield size when purchasing the pump. I don't understand when this is obvious that everyone has a different ****** size then why selling a generic size to everyone given that the pump is $299 which is already expensive but Spectra wants us to spend more on shields. Just wow. So now, I want to buy correct shielf for my size as I am forced to, because the pump is useless for me without an accurate shield size but it is out of stock till February. What am I supposed to do by then? Forced to go thru pain due to the weird sizing policy you have for the shield that comes with pump. Quite frustrated after spending hours for searching the accessory everywhere. Because not everyone is 24mm, they are different. What should I do with the 24mm one which clearly isnt my size, gives me pain after pumping drawing in more mass than required... I have also done the size test by pumpables. So I know it is incorrect.
