Bought size 7 in blue. This was our first Speedo purchase. While the fit is good(fits well for tall 5 and half year old), the color comes out!! I hand washed this with other swim suits in cold water with very mild soap. White color rash guard from Arena(also purchased from swimoutlet.com) turned into ugly neon green. So far we have bought Arena, TYR, and never had this problem before. :(

My 6 year-old son needed a navy blue jammer for his swim team. We decided to purchase size 7 since his old jammer was a bit tight. Size 7 fits well around the waist and thighs just a little long in length to his knee caps. He will grow into it. Should last him another year. He likes the jammer and will be using only during swim meets.

I didn’t think my little boy would like these very much because he is so used to wearing regular swim trunks. He started swimming on a swim team so he had to have these, so I ordered them. Him being only 8, I thought he would be self conscious about them being tight also, but amazingly, he was fine with them. I ordered him 2 pair and I ordered his regular size and they fit. Thanks so much

These Speedo Jammers are of good quality, true to size, and priced well. They are made way better than the Speedo Jammers we bought at another store for double the price. My son loves these swim shorts and said they are very comfortable. My son likes them so well, I bought three pair. He's been wearing the black swim shorts for practice (4 days a week) and the blue pair for swim competitions. He's been wearing them for about four weeks now and they still look brand new.
I love these jammers with Lycra. I think they’re more comfortable than the polyester and they definitely dry out faster. These jammers are just like what the big boys wear. I wasn’t sure what size to get for my six year old. He is 47 inches tall and 47 pounds. The size 6 fit fine. They stay up, but aren’t super snug on him. So… Room to grow.
When we were looking for suits, I was really perplexed about sizing. I want to contribute my review to help others because reviews helped me. I have a slim 8 year old (50" / 60 lbs / 23 " waist). I ordered this suit in a size 7 and it fits perfectly. Swim team practice starts next week, so I can't comment on durability, but happy so far with the size.
Unfortunately though my son has other speedo jammers in the same size this one ran big. I have ordered the next size down so we will see if that one fits.
Bought for my son whose skin is super sensitive. Use with long sleeve snug rash guard to protect him from little things that live in seaweed and and can cause itching. Fit perfect. He Weighs about 85 lbs and is 5 ft. Tall. Yes, very thin and lean. Very happy with quality and price! Use in FL warm waters.
We just ordered our fourth pair in a year for our five year old son. His waist is around 22" and a size 6 fits perfectly. The first pair wore out quicker than expected, but that was because in his early swim lessons he spent time sitting on the side of the pool deck and the bottoms got worn. The other two pairs are still going strong and we just got the third pair because it was 50% off and he will need them at some point this summer since he joined a swim team. This is probably the best option for kids this age.
I can't speak on how these jammers will last long term but they are great for what we purchased them for. My 5 yoa is taking swim stroke lessons in order to begin swim team this summer. To give anyone better idea of size, I ordered a size 5 and he is tall and thin to average. He wears a size 6 pants for length and has many 6 slim. His shorts are 4's, and 5's and still some toddlers. These are perfect on him, tight and just right and the come to just above the knee and he is above average in height. There is no way I could have gone smaller. I am sure a larger size would have been baggy and not tight as they are suppose to be. They do have a drawstring if they are a bit large.
