Thanks for the chance to try these fragrances. Today I’ll be reviewing: SPICEBOMB by [brand:viktor-rolf] Initially, I could only smell pink pepper, my nose itched and I sneezed. After it dried, the scent was truly wonderful. The fragrance is warm, woody, and spicy, but also sweet and masculine. Seductive and comforting. There is something so attractive and captivating about the notes of leather and tobacco. Saffron and paprika give this scent a lot of depth, and Dutch cinnamon boosts its sweetness. The perfume was so pleasant, my husband loved it and we couldn't stop smelling each other. We loved wearing it, so we are going to buy it in full size for personal use. Boom! As soon as you spray Spicebomb it hits you with a massive dose of pink pepper. You can be standing across the room from it and you'll smell it after one spray. I cannot describe how loud (in the positive sense of the term) this is. It's a very captivating scent. If you smell really hard you can get the elemi/bergamot/grapefruit combination, but the pink pepper is going to be the thing everybody remembers. It's great. What's more, it also sticks around for the party being thrown by the middle notes. Out of these, it's the cinnamon that takes the dominant role and, again, it's a very fresh interpretation of the spice. This is a designer fragrance though so you should also be aware that there's also a huge dose of sugar (isn't there always?) in the top and middle ... MoreBoom! Unlike a lot of designers though, Polge doesn't overdo it - it's not sickly - and, in fact, it plays along with the cinnamon to create a smell you might find emanating from a (admittedly spicy) bakery. The other thing I really like about Spicebomb, and I'm not sure what creates it, is what I would hesitantly call an underpinning soapiness - it isn't just a load of dry spices and sweetness. There's an actual base going on below the top end and it smells wonderfully clean and mature. It's a world away from many of the other mainstream offerings that I don't feel like you could wear if you're older than 25. That grownup theme continues merrily into the dry down. If that doesn't entice you into giving Spicebomb a whirl though, let's talk about silage, because this thing carries beautifully. To my mind, it's the ultimate outdoor cold weather fragrance. If you want to make an impression walking down the street in your hat and scarf, this is the scent to wear. It's also going to get you compliments, because it conjures up reminders of the festive season in so many people. Of course, your greatest strength is your greatest weakness, and the power behind the beast means that it's probably not the best fragrance to wear indoors (not until it starts to dry down a touch anyway), and it's certainly not one for summertime.

Spicebomb is one of the few sweet scents I absolutely adore! At first spray, to my nose, I smell a very spicy type of cinnamon with a candy-like sweetness (reminds me a little of Big Red chewing gum). The sweetness is still there but quickly falls into the background, where the spices, thankfully come forward and prevent this scent from leaning feminine. Towards the dry down I can really smell the spice notes (Cinnamon, Pink Pepper, Paprika, Tobacco) blending very well together (smells like a freshly baked gingerbread cookie) which gives this scent a sexy masculine vibe.

This is without a doubt one of my favorite fragrances of all time. I have every single fragrance that has been launched from this line. I couldn't be happier with this fragrance and I can't wait to see what they come out with this year. Spicebomb bomb is really excellent in winter fragrances for men. This is a compromise between the explosion of icy cold and the fiery heat inside. What a fascinating and wonderful contrast it is! The fragrance opens with a burst of cold energy from bergamot, grapefruit, pink pepper and paprika and elemi myrrh. It is the cool spiciness of paprika that creates the initial highlight for the scent combined with the sweetness of elemi to create a feeling of frost. - After the explosion of cold, the hot substance begins to spread. Perhaps it must be said that from the middle notes to the base notes, you will be addicted to the fieryness that Spicebomb brings, an extremely warm, attractive and extremely attractive scent.

I got my husband for Yule. I gave him a sample a few years back and he loved it. The bottle is shaped like a grenade and I tried to save the collar that disables spraying (good for travel and he will lose it) for this pic, but no. He leaves it on so he can pretend he's James Bond and is pulling the pin on a grenade. This is a 49 yo adult. 🙄 The notes I think I detected were: powdery, sandalwood, spicy (duh), sweet, musky. Actual notes: warm spicy, cinnamon, tobacco, sweet, soft spicy, leather, aromatic, citrus. Welp, big fail for me at my guess the notes game. Either way, this cologne smells absolutely divine and is unique. This is a great winter cologne that lasts at least 8 hours. A+

A scent perfect for fall and winter, or a date night. Incredibly warm and inviting spices. A real crowd pleaser, you are sure to receive compliments every time you wear this. The only downside to me is it is somewhat weak, not anemic by any means, you still get a good 6 hours with moderate projection. Good performance, but with this type of scent I would expect just a bit more longevity and projection. Some people would argue the bottle is tacky or in poor taste but I feel the opposite, the grenade style bottle and the "cap" being a pull pin is unique and befitting of the "bomb" in spicebomb Smell 8/10 Longevity 6/10 Projection 7/10
