Perhaps the best things about this movie are Nick Fury, Happy (from Iron Man) and Aunt Mae’s interactions, and the upgraded Spider-Man’s suit courtesy of Iron Man (I have mixed feelings about this one because I feel producers have taken it too far). Another good thing is that special effects are amazing.However, as far as plot, I like the older Spider-Man’s plot better. I think they might be getting too dependent on Iron-Man’s references, which takes away from Spider-Man by himself as a true hero. Instead, I have come to see Spider-Man as Iron-Man’s puppet. Also, I like Andrew Garfield so much better as the Spider-Man actor. Tom Holland is good, but I believe Andrew Garfield represented Spider-Man better.Would I have bought this movie after seeing it? ... No.

I had to watch this Spider-Man movie a couple of times before I really liked it. It is hard to top Spider-Man Homecoming. Michael Keaton was the perfect choice for the villain. But it was hard watching Jake Gyllenhaal as the villain in this movie. But if you have any doubts as Jake Gyllenhaal as the bad guy or villain, you need to watch Ambulance. He gives a stellar performance. Anyway, Spider-Man Far From Home is a great addition to the Spider-Man collection.

They did a great job hearkening back to details from the first days of the MCU as well as building on the Spider-Man universe and leaving the film on a great cliffhanger. The romance between MJ and Peter is pretty forced, though it is easier to swallow because she acts like a decent person in this film while she was mostly a jerk in the first one. Great subterfuge by the writers of the film using what you think you know about the main characters against you--just like Mysterio himself. However, leaving a multi-billion dollar weapons platform in the hands of a kid was pretty reckless, even for Tony--the only part of the film that really doesn't work. The action, humor and special effects were top-notch. Be sure to watch the mid and post credits scenes!

The Infinity Saga came to a thunderous and LOTR level conclusion that few movies prior attempted, much less succeeded at capturing. What can Marvel possibly do to follow it up? Wisely they chose to not even come close to attempting Infinity War/Endgame bombastics, and gave us something ground level/masquerading as epic. If Iron Man through Endgame are the novel, then Far From Home is the Epilogue. A small story that serves to nicely wrap-up the Saga while teasing what is to come. The nice thing here, is you can end your MCU journey with Endgame and don't have to have this movie, but if you do get it, you'll get a glimpse into the world that Avengers saved, and honestly the Saga is better for it, but not worse without it. The fact that he is Spider-man, is secondary to Peter's relationships with Ned, MJ, Aunt May, Happy, and Gordon Beck. Also, Jake Gyllenhaal is gives a wonderfully surprising performance. I was skeptical as it has seemed like his previous work has started to lean towards the more heavy, angsty roles, but Beck is fun, and twisted. You understand his plight, he wants to be special and make an impact on a grander stage than what he seems destined for, but clearly took away the wrong message from The Incredibles and became a monster. I like to how, just like with Homecoming, this villain doesn't have significant connection to Peter (a la, Peter did something that in effect created this character). He was long on the road to villainy long before Peter got in his way. This is refreshing since so many comic book villains, especially in movies now, seem to have this forced personal connection to the hero in order to spark the path to evil. Overall, this is a fun, funny and surprisingly simple film that doesn't take itself too seriously, but also doesn't try to humorous just for the sake of being humorous.
The digitally photographed Spider-Man: Far from Home swings onto Blu-ray with a practically picture-perfect 1080p transfer. The picture is clear, rich, and pushes the Blu-ray format to its limits. Every detail is sharp, robustly defined, and complex. Core components are always on the mark: skin details are intimately precise, clothing fabrics reveal their inherent complexities with ease. Colors pop with impressive saturation and tonal fullness. Certainly Spider-Man red and blue and Mysterio green are amongst the highlights, but Blu-ray fans can look forward to impressively presented clothing, skin tones, and black levels. Noise is next to nonexistent. This is a terrific Blu-ray presentation from Sony.

I really enjoyed this adaptation of Spider-Man. It felt real, no forced acting just real teenager problems. The story is amazing, CGI is outstanding, and Tom Holland makes me like this Spider-Man even more. I applaud the writer, director, and the crew for an outstanding movie, and I really can not wait for the next Spider-Man movie. Don't miss it.
Spiderman Far from Home was a great movie at the theater! I want to own it on Blu-ray so that I can enjoy the experience at home as well… Blu-ray always provides great sound and picture quality! I was glad Best Buy had copies in stock that I can hold and look at. Sometimes there’s damage or the disc is loose within the jewel case. Despite the shrinking stock, I prefer holding it in hand and looking at the reviews and the descriptions before purchasing over purchasing online.

The upshot of Avengers: Endgame was a world in which many people jumped forward in time five years without realizing it, while others experienced the same five years with a sense of profound loss and then dealt with the sudden reappearance of friends, loved ones, and the other half of humanity (not to mention various and sundry alien acquaintances). Peter Parker was among the many who were snapped back, and he must adjust to a life without his mentor Tony Stark where he must bear greater responsibility than a teen should have to face.Yet face it he does in a European vacation with his schoolmates and the mysterious Mysterio.
