Hard to work and doesn't cover well. It needs multiple coats for an acceptable finish - even over preprinted surfaces. Seems to go off slowly too. You might save some money by using this stuff instead of a more expensive brand but you will give yourself a lot more work. It doesn't appear to have any mold retardant so you will probably be repainting sooner than if you had used something else.

Given 4 start. Going from Grey to White wasn't an easy task anyway. Had done 6 coats and paint wasn't giving me perfect finish i want. Realized, More you leave it to dry the better it would be. So my suggestion is if you are coating from Dark don't use 2 hours Re coat method, instead leave it for a good 7/8 hours or for a day after one coat, if possible. Done 6 coats and left after fed up, realized in couple of days the wall is perfectly white and has no grey dots. Overall good quality and price. Was told not to buy this by Bunnings staff but picked up after going through reviews, so thought put my review and it might help someone. Overall satisfied and can't complaint especially less than half of price than other competitors.

Won't cover, even with multiple coats. Almost impossible to cut a decent edge with it. Finish is more like undercoat than a top coat. While it won't cover the surfaces being painted the residue will clog expensive roller sleeves and brushes - no matter how many times they are rinsed or soaked.

After reading some bad reviews, I was surprised at how good this paint really is. Maybe the batches were different, (however with quality control these days, I don't think this was the issue) but I suspect too many people have been watching renovation TV shows, (House Rules etc.) and have unrealistic ideas of what paint should be like. One thing, even if you haven't added a tint, stir the paint well. (Could be why some people seemed to think the paint was watery.) I brushed on one coat, for an undercoat, and then used a roller for the second coat, and found I had no need for a 3rd coat. I have used more expensive brands in the past and can't see any difference. Spend more if you want too, but I think you are wasting your money if you do.
Bought a week ago to repaint the holiday house so wasn't wanting to spend much. Ended up being great. I used the same color for the ceilings and walls and found it was splatter proof whilst doing the ceiling. It doesn't have a particularly strong paint smell as some reviews have said. The paint was a nice consistency (just right). I have only painted two rooms so far and havn't been able to assess how it wipes off marks yet. Overall no complaints about the paint and will definitely buy again. PS. I have new respect for painters, it's hard work Ugh!
Just used this Spring paint with Fountain Mist (taubmans) tint. I previously bought a sample pot of the Fountain Mist in the Taubmans paint. The colours were identical and there was no difference between them in consistency. The odour was the same and minimal and didn't last long. I didn't even need bother changing into "painting clothes" because not one drop came of the brush or roller onto my clothes. I will be buying more of the Spring paint. I recommend this product
I bought this on Monday to paint my dining and kitchen as we have plans to renovate because the beige was an eye sore and I couldn't take it anymore! Seriously folks enough with the colour beige! I used dulux wash and wear for the rest of the house. Is it perfect for a budget job? Yes... perhaps if you are unsure to try a smaller tin however I had used this previously years ago for our rental property too so I knew what I was working with. Also just a little tip, it's quite thick so either thin it a bit or use less over all and do a third coat.
I've started using this on my jobs. I think it does pretty good all things considered. Like, no it's not gonna cover in one coat, but let's be real here you should just by default be doing two coats anyway plus a good application of the undercoat over any plastering as well as lightly sanding between coats. If you don't try to rush it I'm not really seeing a noticeable difference vs the more expensive products.That's without adding water too, it's gone on pretty good as is so haven't got around to trying that yet
I bought this paint much to the confusion of bunnings staff who couldn’t stress how much they don’t recommend it.(Dear bunnings please take note of this)I have pets and the areas I was doing were small and will no doubt need redoing after scratches and spills later on. With that in mind, it doesn’t make sense to spend 70 bucks on a tiny can of multi-function paint.It’s not bad, Took 3.coats and spatters a bit but it did exactly what I wanted for an ideal cost.
I have used this product for several projects now. On light surfaces such as hardwall plaster you need a primer coat or mist coat and two colour coats - basically the same as the more expensive paints.On dark surfaces you need an extra colour coat.I have also used the Spring water based enamel on timber skirting and doors with equally good results
