Unbeatable in price/ quality… from Sonic series to Classic Vibe or Contemporary series you always get a quality product from Fender - Squier, of course comparing apples with apples and oranges with oranges ; ) good for beginners and nice as back-up or second guitar (or 3rd, 4th,…). I hope that this will help people with their decision on what a good guitar can be and that they have fun playing their guitar by Squier. This was purchased from the Tampa location that cares about their instruments. All their instruments appear set up and playable not just the super expensive ones which is a sales gimmick done at their competitor in Tampa. Staff was friendly and not pushy. The guitar plays well and sounds good. Kudos to the Tampa Sam Ash for giving a rat's about what they sell.

Purchased my kit online. It was shipped right to my door. Upon opening the box I was pleasantly surprised by a beautiful sunburst color choice, excellent workmanship, and a Strat that is made with the same attention to detail as the more expensive ones. What more can I say? I'd definitely recommend this to anyone that wants a Stratocaster but has a limited budget. Two thumbs up!
This guitar has exceeded my expectations, it was set up well, the sound from the pickups has been a lot closer to the 60's Fender Strat I have been using for years than I ever would have expected. The body is slimmer, and the neck is a nice satin finish. There is some roughness to the fret edges, not sharp but rough. The finish and fit are better than you would expect at the low price. The tuners are, er, not great but serviceable. Setting it up took less than a half hour and it plays wonderfully. I got the Ultraviolet color which I have to admit was the only thing that made me go yeah, got to get it. But then having it my hands it has impressed me. I paid more for my first guitar that wasn't half as good. I bought this as a gift for my daughter, who's beginning to show an interest in playing guitar. Great starter set for her and very easy to play. I also enjoy playing as well. The pickups aren't the greatest, but definitely a great value for the money!!
Didn't need any adjustments out of the box despite sitting for a week in a FedEx warehouse. Action super low, plays really nice. Grain in the wood is beautiful, looks so much better in person than on the website. I couldn't find one to try in the store before buying and I was worried about ordering online but I couldn't be happier. Worth every penny. Sounds nice through a jc120.
Looks great and plays great. Very well finished with good quality fittings. No fret issues. The action was a little bit high but is easily changed to suit.Very happy indeed. Would recommend for beginners and average players.
I own over 15 assorted guitars. Most are in the mid to higher price range. I have both solid body and hollow body guitars. Also have about half dozen acoustics, including two Martins and a Gretch. The fit and finish are superb on this one. No dings, scratches, or issues. This one plays as good as my Telecaster. All I had to do was tune it up. I can find no glitches with the set up either. I like Southern Gospel and Old Country style music. I occasionally play in church. I have been reading good reviews about the Squire brand...for me...they all came true.
I bought a squire by fender Stratocaster as my first electric. The employee that helped me was the best(I'm 14) and couldn't be more happy about this purchase. The guitar has great sound and it's durable and comfortable. The straps and cords I bought and picks are also great. I had to lower the action on the board because it was still high from the factory settings. I also bought a super over drive pedal and that's great too, you just gotta remember to upping the chords so you don't kill the battery. I'm thinking about buying a live acoustic too. The amp I bought is amazing too and has great sound quality. Thank you so much to Adam ash Music and the super kind employee who really encouraged me to spend hours a day with my guitar.
